The Videocon Group, one of India’s leading global business conglomerates, today announced the launch of its GSM mobile services in Punjab and Haryana telecom circles.
Videocon Telecommunications Limited, a group company, invested Rs. 800 crore in rolling out GSM Mobile services in Punjab and Haryana circles and we will further invest Rs. 800 crore in these states to expands its network across both circles.
Deploying a future ready 2.75G EDGE GSM network in Punjab and Haryana circles , Videocon announced that its Mobile Services initially available in 6 cities named Rajpura, Dera Bassi and Zirkhpur in Punjab telecom circle and YamunaNagar, Pinjore and Kalka in Haryana circle.The operator will expands its GSM network in all Key cities of both circles by the end of this month.
Videocon offers subscribers innovative Value-Added Services (VAS) and superior customer service. Videocon Mobile Services offers an unprecedented sub 1 paise/second effective tariff, which is designed to suit all pockets with a tariff plan that is transparent and simple.
Mr. Venugopal Dhoot, Chairman, Videocon Group stated “We will leverage on groups established brand equity and vast retail reach combined with the best of breed partners to offer compelling services to our customers in Punjab and Haryana. The company will leverage a network of around 2,400 BTS at the time of launch to deliver services to subscribers across all major towns, national and state highways.” He also said that “Videocon also plans one of the fastest sequential roll-outs covering 100 key cities/towns over the next 100 days across the country.”
Videocon’s Punjab circle GSM services is launched in association with HFCL Infotel Ltd (Connect Fixed line and Ping CDMA Services) under the Brand sharing agreement between both companies.
Videocon GSM Prepaid Sim-Kit will be available in all key cities of Punjab and Haryana telecom circles in next few days at Rs.49 with the Talk-Value of Rs 5. The operator also announced FRC Rs 31 which provides Local & STD calls at just 1paisa /second for a period of 365 days with Talk-time of Rs 25.

I would like to bring in Your kind notice that I have purchased a new No. of Videocon. My No. is “09068279653″. On the fifth day I got a msg from Company that a hellotune is activated on my no & I will not charged for this for 90 days. after some time I got another msg that an amount of rs. 45 has been deducted from My account balance . I have already Complained about this. Again this time without any information an amount of rs. 30 is also deducted from My account balance.
Here I request You to please look into the matter that the company is deducting my balance without any information. Company is giving mental pain to me…. It is really unbearable.
I m going to take 30 cell no.s of Your company for My office . But I m helpless to change My own decision. And if My problem will not be solve out then I m also going to disconnect My no.
So my dear sir I request You to please solve out My problem.

due to coming of videocon in Punjab and others operators in coming months..there will be great decrease cost of vip mobile numbers for sure..as these new companies will provide premium numbers for lesser cost to increase their users capacity..am expecting a 40 percent decrease in rates..what u say ?

I feel that within 1 or 2 years Indian telecom industry will come into saturation, new operators like Videocon,Uninor etc will find it difficult to maintain their business due to increasing Low ARPU. THIS WAS ALSO TOLD BY SUNIL BHARTI MITTAL CHAIRMAN OF BHARTI AIRTEL 2 YEARS BACK.
