The telephone was invented in March of 1876. Then how Telenor is 150 year old telecom giant ????

@Majid aka Sajid, Yes! Telephone was invented in March 1876 (Alexander Graham Bell received a patent for the telephone in 1876) but I think you didn’t know that some other things was there before the Telephone! Like Telegraph which comes under “Telecommunications” and Telenor indulge in Telecommunications since from 1853.

  • rdb March 5, 2010 5:28 pm

Telenor started off in 1855 as a state-operated monopoly, named Telegrafverket as a provider of telegraph services.
