Uninor’s Special Tariff Voucher (STV) 21 offers Mumbai customers the lowest local calling rate at just 30 paise per Minute with 30 day validity, STV 22 is unbeatable value for Uninor customers who can make local Uninor to Uninor calls at just 2 paisa per minute. Both plans are valid for calls within Mumbai and Maharashtra and Goa.
Other talk-time plans from Uninor are equally compelling! Uninor’s STV 36 STD plan offers call rates of 30 paisa/ per minute across the country.
Adding another spectacular product to its cartel, the recently launched STV 18 ISD pack gives Mumbai’s globally connected subscribers the opportunity to make ISD calls to friends and families across the globe for as low as 1 paisa per second. Dear friends, I think Videocon still offers cheaper call rates, for e.g. for Rs. 148/ 30 days you get EVERY DAY 30 min. each v to v and v to all other local networks + 5 min. STD free daily ! Inform me if any other network beats this, and I will go for MNP for that network, because Videocon is quite mean on ALL other aspects, for e.g. if you have not taken any such plan, they charge you Re. 1/min. for any local call and local sms as well, even though your SIM card states : local call rates 1 p/s !! So beware! Aalso, in above plan earlier they were giving Rs. 30/= credited to main balance, which si now stopped (and 5 min. STD added, an eyewash!). So friends, awaing your responses

Don’t know how but I don’t faced any network congestion issues from 17th April 2012 with Uninor. I think after 1year my congestion issues have been resolved! (?)
Shiva April 19, 2012 at 10:20 pm
Rs.17 has been stopped by videocon and on roaming they are taking money for incoming calls on vodafone network.. It has become big looter.

@Saurabh
Yes boss, tata docomo’s pay per second is rocking.. Here in wb docomo offers 78000sec (60000sec tata-tata & 18000sec tata-other) for rs97 .. Aircel giving total 1500min (1300min a2a & 200min a2o) for same value.. But i don’t see anyone who use aircel..

Milind Ajit Shah April 19, 2012 at 9:11 am
uninor might have launched good plan but it is for sure not the cheapest in mumbai. cheapest is reliance which offer 500 min on net free on recharge of 148 plus 1000 min.s reliance to reliance free. so effective at 0.10 paise per minute. meanwhile for sms aircel is the best with plan 61 u get 6000 sms with 2 month validity so effectively 30 per month. videocon i have used they do a lot of unfair balance deduction so no use
Saurabh April 19, 2012 at 7:30 am
+1. Same in Haryana too. Rs.25 with 25p/min calling to All-India for 30 days.
Saurabh April 19, 2012 at 7:25 am
As you know Uninor is not present in Haryana commercially (though we have their cell site here) but as far as tariffs are concerned no one can beat Aircel and Videocon in Haryana. Aircel offers 1p/2s local at just Rs.16/month or Rs.38 for 90 days which is much cheaper than others. Similarlly Videocon has Rs.65 recharge in which they offer Rs.45 as TT and 30p/min calling all over India. So effective cost is Rs.20/month.
Videocon offering on-net calling for 2p/min in Rs.19 recharge. SMS packs of Videcon is good (1p/sms at Rs.12/month) but not Aircel’s (Rs.79 for 6000 SMS). Internet packs of both companies are also cheap as bot offering unlimited access in Rs.96 and Rs.98 (paper coupon).
For all these services we need a good network too and both have good network in my area with 2G net speed 220-300Kbps. Aircel has low latency (200ms).
The best part is both have very low customer base. Videocon (9+ lakhs) and Aircel (6+ Lakhs). So there is least congestion or I should say no congestion.
Saurabh April 19, 2012 at 7:09 am
@Amit Deb Biswas
In this case, CC was right.
Among all operators, only Tata Docomo offers pay per second as basic plan.
You need to recharge power/ special pack for enjoying cheap call rates in all other operators (including BSNL & MTNL also).
Amit Deb Biswas April 18, 2012 at 10:36 pm
Just about an hour ago i made a STD call from uninor and i was charged rs1.50/min . I called CC , they told me their basic std call charge is that and you have to use power recharge to reduce std call charge.. Then i abuse the CC man.. And he disconnect my call..
Merc April 18, 2012 at 9:41 pm
1p/sec to US&Canada is awesome !
Sayan Chattopadhyay April 18, 2012 at 9:40 pm
Now Uninor offers 30p/min call charge with STV23 with 90days validity (previously 30days).
chandra April 18, 2012 at 8:13 pm
UNINOR IS GOOD FOR CALLING AND SMS NOT FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE LIKE INTERNET
Sayan Chattopadhyay April 18, 2012 at 8:06 pm
I need coverage on NH34 (within Murshidabad district) and Uninor has 99.9% coverage on that. Where Tata Docomo has 90%,Aircel has 95%, Idea has 85%, Bsnl has 99%, Airtel and Vodafone both has 100% coverage.
Sudhakar April 18, 2012 at 8:03 pm
Uninor’s ISD per second pulse is copied from Videocon Tamilnadu who is the first operator to offer ISD to many countries at per second pulse using Rs.27 STV.
Sudhakar April 18, 2012 at 8:01 pm
Waste. It should be Rs.0.005 per second or Rs.0.01 for two seconds. Except docomo all the operators do not provide per sec billing in all the booster cards. Per second pulse is there in other operators just for name sake.
Vipul April 18, 2012 at 7:46 pm
Yes uninor tarrifs are good but in UP west they changed their STV 22 plan now when you recharge with 22 you will get 1p/12second plan and not 2p per minute
ajy April 18, 2012 at 7:35 pm
Reliance GSM offering same in mumbai..STV 21 local call 30p for 30 days and stv36 std 30paisa for 30 days and network is better than uninor
Esmail April 18, 2012 at 6:39 pm
Uninor has the most value for money plans, Network coverage is 7.5/10
Tremerin D'souza April 18, 2012 at 6:38 pm
Videocon is offering the cheapest call rates in Mumbai at 25p/min std+local on recharge of rs 25/-. and stv 17.
Arora April 18, 2012 at 6:32 pm
Uninor is better for dual sim mobile user they can use this voice packs…and if the uninor signals are weak or no connectivity they can use the other one…….
Also as per various news and corporates sources UNINOR is not in a mood to exit the Indian telecom sector…..
AsitPaul April 18, 2012 at 6:03 pm
Nice and Cheap offers. Seems Uninor is there to compete with market leaders.
sAM April 18, 2012 at 6:00 pm
Superb plans & Average quality network..
hj91 April 18, 2012 at 5:44 pm
please dont sail in a sinking boat. uninor is going to die and it rightfully should for illegally entering indian telecom industry.
