Uninor Offers Cheapest 2G Data Plans [June 2013]

Uninor GPRS packsTelenor backed Uninor which operates in the country with low cost model with a brand image of ‘Sabse Sasta’ is offering cheapest 2G-GPRS tariff in those circles in it is operating.

Uninor currently offers services in 6 circles – Maharastra & Goa, Andra Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar & Jharkhand, UP East and West. Uninor does not offer universal plans in all circles, rather revised them to offer different and unique 2G data plans in each circle.

While incumbent players offering 650 MB for just 21 days for Rs 90-100 price bracket, Uninor is offering maximum 6GB and minimum 2.5GB for 30 days in the similar price point. Like the most operators Uninor also revised their validity period from 30 days to 28 days in these packs in certain circles. Uninor which offers several sachet packs for voice plans, has 3-day, 7-day and 15-day packs for data users which helps users to choose more from the range of plans. The bundled data is applicable on roaming too, if you are in Uninor’s own network.

We know that 2G is sometimes too slow and makes you bore, but if Uninor is providing good services at your place go for it.

    unlimited and restrict
    on GB which is real
    nonsense and not

    their speed is only the
    same before and after
    (10 kbps to max 40
    kbps) in 2G.

If you want 2G speed in uninor the you have to activate 3G packs because 3g works like 2g and there is no 3g speed . Worst internet .

  • Sharad October 14, 2013 7:27 am

  • Sudar June 14, 2013 10:43 am

  • Aly June 14, 2013 8:14 am

Uninor is worst in gujarat for 2g. I am the retailer of Uninor. Lots of queries i get from my customers. Mostly 2g is not working and whenevr asked they just reply that they are working on it

  • venkat June 13, 2013 12:08 pm

Quality is directly proportional to the Money… If we are paying less money means we are opting for low quality of services. Unfortunately in our country even though we are paying high amount of money we are not enjoying quality services. For example the call rates and data packs of Tata Docomo/Reliance GSM are almost similar to A vo Id group. But AvoId group is providing better quality of services compared to Tata Docomo/RGSM. Why should we pay High Cost when they are not providing Quality. In this regard Uninor is better compared to Docomo/RGSM. Their services are poor and you have to search for signal in many areas. But they are providing low tariffs compared to Others. Data services on Uninor is a big joke. Bull Shit/ Cow dung bla…bla…blaa….

  • MURALI June 13, 2013 8:59 am

    UNINOR GPRS IS HELL.
    (1) EVEN WHEN VOICE CALLS GO THRU, GPRS NETWORK IS DOWN.
    (2) YOU WIL NEVER NEVER NEVER BE ABLE TO USE THE attractive large DATA LIMITS OFFERED, BCOZ speed is capped @3-4kbps.
    (3) DNS FAILS even if you manually specify third party DNS. (Uninor ingenuinity ! ) basically they don’t want you to browse !
    (4) CONNECTS AFTER 50-60 ATTEMPTS. YES 50-60 ATTEMPTS.

    • Sharad October 14, 2013 7:32 am

      Agree with you.

  • Rishi June 12, 2013 11:50 pm

    I miss u uninor ( kerala )

  • Adil June 11, 2013 10:48 pm

A true fact guys that uninor is only for calling facility uninor has no foot print in internet its better not to waste time and money but to opt different operator for net and for calling facility uninor (if and only if network is there)…

  • Sudar June 11, 2013 8:47 pm

That is great compared to worst data providers like airtel and vodafone.

  • SS June 11, 2013 8:13 pm

He he, uninor internet is remarkable! You need to try many times to connect and speed sucks a lot.

But i thing BSNL internet is worst among operators. (UP EAST) 2G server down for at least 5-10 hours/day. DNS servers are unresponsive and sites do not open at all.

So paying to AVOID is better!

    • Animesh June 11, 2013 8:54 pm

From a known source in it was known that this service provider does not regularly maintain its systems in terms of outdated hardware which causes frequent down times and connectivity issues, all this has caused a huge number of customers opting out of this service provider

  • AkashDey June 11, 2013 7:10 pm

BSNL 301/- 6GB 90days!! No speed /data capping!! More speed at 3G mode!! All India coverage !! Period !!

    • Nvidia June 11, 2013 8:05 pm

tried using it.. worst than gprs… it used to be good but no more…

      • AkashDey June 11, 2013 8:32 pm

sorry to hear your poor experience!! But its completely opposite in my case. Extremely happy!!

        • prasad mayya June 12, 2013 8:33 am

          hi
i have subscribed for bsnl 301Rs 6gb/90days… it is from morning to evening ……worst b/w 7pm to 10pm….. so bought docomo 31Rs 600mb/6days…. excellent network…. excellent speed …. but disconnect after 40min… we have to dial several times… i have mts mblaze also .. i got 1mbps around ( tower is 11km from my home ) …they have individual offer ( 647Rs 8gb/month) … no disconnect… no speed drop ….

  • Mane Rajasthan June 11, 2013 6:50 pm

Perhaps customers of Rajasthan will enjoy these plan in future if uninor buy license here.

  • siva June 11, 2013 6:44 pm

    *conditions apply!
    not connecting in 10am-10pm.
if connected it will take 5min to open google page.

    • venkat June 11, 2013 7:23 pm

      Ha ha ha….!!! Thats true….!!!

  • suraj June 11, 2013 6:16 pm

Bkar speed jha network hai, waise toh network he nhi hai uttarakhand m. Jha network tha i.e pithoragarh bnd kr diya no network no coverage.

    • aakash July 2, 2013 9:27 pm

uninor ka network hi nahi milta up east me

  • Gavin Mathos June 11, 2013 4:55 pm

In Mumbai & Maharashtra-Goa Telecom Circle Airtel provides maximum Internet Speed @200 KBPS. But in Low Network Coverage Area it provides Internet Speed between 10KBPS-50KBPS.
I think Speed between 100KBPS to 200KBPS is sufficient for Surfing Websites, Opening Email, Openning Apps & Searching Places on the Map.

    • Kingston June 11, 2013 11:58 pm

      Its not KBPS, its Kbps

      200KBPS=1.6 Mbps

      • Gavin Mathos June 12, 2013 7:13 am

        200KBPS=0.2MBPS

  • deepak June 11, 2013 3:45 pm

what about connectivity. I had worst experience with uninor. now I am using docomo 32rs 600 mb data for 8 days in up west

    • Azeem June 11, 2013 5:16 pm

In Maharashtra Pune the network is average. Not that great… They seriously need to improve their coverage. You cannot run a telecom service just by offering the low prices you got to have proper network coverage so that people can leverage the low cost model of uninor.,,, !!!!!!?

  • Sakthivel June 11, 2013 3:30 pm

the price is determine the quality of service. But people only concentrate on price of pack. So other operator may reduce the price.

  • common man June 11, 2013 3:03 pm

don’t use uninor in maharastra speed is very poor.also they deduct balance through unwanted vas activation.

    • saroj June 11, 2013 5:06 pm

yes. you are 1000% right. they have deducted rs 30 for caller tune activation . i have given complain but no one is there. after that given mail to TRAI. then Appelleate authority called me after a long discussion they refund my balance for this time only. so be aware about the activation so do DND activation after taking the sim. main reason to choose uninor is 25p/min local and STD with 31STV

  • abhishek chatterjee June 11, 2013 12:39 pm

    Dnt use uninor GPRS……….
phele toh 256kbps (Dwnldng 30kbps) k speed dega but
jaise he nearly 50MB use krnge uninor 8kbps me lock kr dega….
    no dwnldng no surfng…….
n phir 10-12hrs baad.. back 256kbps me aa jata he…..
n same thng repeat hota rheta he…..
i use MDMA for checkng network qos……..

    • azeem June 11, 2013 2:43 pm

Yeah Absolutely correct. Uninor provides excellent speed for the first 50 mb.. Then after that speed gets capped to 8 kbps….. Which is to slow..

Uninor provides daily 200 mb for 30 days @ Rs 95 per month….
But only 1st 50 mb speed is 200 kbps..
I demand immediate withdrawal of the speed cap enforced by Uninor on data usage speed by uninor recently.

    • Sudhanshu July 26, 2013 3:41 pm

Absolutely correct. But do you have a better option in that price?
As for TATA Docomo it takes more than 8-10 attempts to connect. It keeps on saying “The PPP link control Protocol was terminated.”
