Uninor Introduces 60% Discounts On 1-Paisa Per Second Billing

Uninor Introduces 60% Discounts On 1-Paisa Per Second BillingUninor today announced that it will offer 60% discounts on a 1-paisa per second billing for both local and STD calls from uninor to any operator in all telecom circles across India.

With Uninor’s Dynamic Pricing plan now, a customer could enjoy an effective tariff as low as 0.40 paisa per second simply by crossing a street.

Dynamic Pricing offers discounts that change with location and time. Every cell phone tower broadcasts a different discount.

This discount is always visible on the screens of all mobile phones in that area. So discounts change as a customer moves from the coverage of one tower to the next. At the same location, the discount changes every hour. This means a better discount could be available at the next traffic signal or simply by crossing a street.

Now riding on a 1-paisa per second billing, Uninor’s Dynaimc Pricing will by far be the most affordable mobile plan for customers in India. At full discount, a 1-minute call could now cost 24 paisa only.

This plan is available on a recharge tariff of Rs. 26 with a validity of 3 months. The plan will be available at Uninor stores and other shops across India. It can be activated by simply walking up to the nearest a retail shop.

The earlier Dynamic Pricing plan with per-minute billing will continue to be available in the market.

“By choosing the time and place to make a call, you decide how much you want to pay. This has been the philosophy of our Dynamic Pricing concept – power of tariffs in the customer’s hands and an end to the fixed tariffs raj. Now applicable on a 1-paisa per second billing, this is by far the most attractive tariff available in India today,” said Ann Hofvander, Executive Vice President, Karnataka Hub.

“DP is our anchor product. It’s not just about the best tariffs, but how we deliver these to our customers. Our way is a transparent and engaging way, as customers actively seek out and discover maximum discount zones on their mobile screens. We believe this will make an otherwise routine activity exciting and encourage our customer to keep and use our SIM card in their phones”

Uninor 60% discount is not for std calls made from mumbai circle they r just fooling customers and 60% Discount rarely come .everytime discount in mumbai circle is 5 to 20% and now d customers cant track discount on web and now wherever u go there is a uniform discount 5-20% . so best is idea plan ie all local at 30paise per minute.

  • Amit.g August 2, 2010 1:39 pm

If start your call wit 60% discount then you ll enjoy 60% discount till you end up the call irrespective of place and towers having different discounts.

  • Abhishek August 2, 2010 12:48 pm

What if the subscriber (on the move) has started the call in an area where disc was 60% and disconnects it 10 mins later in an area where the discount was 40%..what would be the call charge? Since he is travelling he will definitely switch several towers enroute..so is he charged different rates for every tower he is utilising on the way? Or a flat discount of 60% woul be applicable based on the origination? Pls help

  • dream 123 August 1, 2010 3:09 pm

hey guys, dont trust these type offers, mostly, they give us 5 to 15 discnt so bewre before rechrge it

  • jaswanth roy August 1, 2010 12:20 am

These GSM player are never willing to beat the best tariffs of CDMA players. See Tata Indicom with one rupee daily rental offers straight 10 mnts/ 1 rupee or MTS 29 paise/ 1 rupee and also for just rs 199 it offers 1000 mts offnet calls. All these offers are very straight and no hidden rides as Uninor which only quotes its lowest rate available but not the highest rates generally customers getting. For getting their lower rates one has to wait for time and place as if one has to go to distant place to get their things at the place where things are sold cheaply. Mobile talking is not commodity it is service. Customer should get it wherever and whenever he/she wants at affordable pricing. GSM players please do not cheat the customers, please come out with genuine lowest affordable pricing like CDMA players.

This will be lowest std calling that is at 0.24ps/min that to in an second billing so if call is of 2min 30 sec then will be charged only 0.60ps… if there is 60% off on DP.. so plan is nice but should now improve there coverage….

  • Raghu July 30, 2010 3:13 pm

yes fully agree with you . even though there is full signals sometimes have to dial 5-6 times to make the call connect

  • Raghu July 30, 2010 3:09 pm

    @Kaushik Roy
yes this is a great plan becoz of discounts for std as well local but it is just waste offer unless they IMPROVE THEIR NETWORK everywhere 🙂

  • Vineet July 30, 2010 2:56 pm

This plan is avaiable in bihar circle from today.

  • Nawaz July 30, 2010 2:56 pm

    You are right !
Even if there is full signal, there will be no call connectivity.

  • Kaushik Roy July 30, 2010 2:51 pm

only new thing discount applicable on local & std both
    not only local

  • Roshan July 30, 2010 2:40 pm

More then Half year gone yet no improvements and only new words and no action is taken out to address immense network problem by UNINOR karnataka

  • Devraj July 30, 2010 2:39 pm

To get new customers and to increase their revenue Uninor should do some new things
should learn from TATA Docomo. Last year they did 1p/sec local and national and this year 1p/sec International. Uninor logistics are not working correctly they are not giving what market needs in the time. Pepole have not licked this DP.

To survive Uninor should give 30p/Min with minimal monthly rent 10 to 15 Rs

  • Roshan July 30, 2010 2:36 pm

The above Tariff and Offers are totally useless as Uninor network is invisible on mobile screens in most of the places where the company claims to be exist in Karnataka.

  • Kaushik Roy July 30, 2010 2:32 pm

    0.40 paise or 0.04 paise

  • Amit.g July 30, 2010 2:32 pm

But wats the use of these plans when ter is no proper coverage?? im using this network from past 4 months and upset with the coverage whenever i travel from one city to other. Zero network in national and state highways, you get signal only when some city is near to it. If Uninor doesn improve its coverage then ter is no doubt tat it ll shut down permeantly.

  • Devraj July 30, 2010 2:30 pm
