Uninor today announced that it has extended its breakthrough concept of Dynamic Pricing on STD calls which will now deliver mobile tariffs (Local/STD) at 20-48 p/min in UP East circle.
This discount is not just applicable on local but STD calls too – from Uninor to any operator. Dynamic Pricing puts customers in control of their own tariffs with the possibility of a better discount just a street corner away.
Dynamic Pricing on STD calls is available on recharge of Rs. 28 with the validity of 90 days & Local calls is available on recharge of Rs 48 with the validity of 1 year.
Dynamic Pricing offers discounts that change with location and time. Every cell phone tower broadcasts a different discount. This discount is always visible on the screens of all mobile phones in that area. So discounts change as a customer moves from the coverage of one tower to the next. At the same location, the discount changes every hour. This means a better discount could be available at the next traffic signal or simply by crossing a street.

FRIEND TER IS NOTHING MUCH DIFFERENCE IN NON NOKIA HANDSETS, IN NOKIA CELL INFO DISPLAY OPTION IS PRESENT IN NETWORK SETTINGS WHERE AS IN NON NOKIA(SAMSUNG,LG,SONY, CHINESE) YOU HAVE TAT OPTION IN MESSAGE SETTINGS.
JUST GO TO MESSAGES THEN IN TAT GO TO SETTINGS\
TER U FIND A OPTION CELL BROADCASTING SETTINGS,
U TURN IT ON & THEN IN TAT ITSELF U SEE THE WORD CHANNELS
IN TAT U EDIT & GIVE THE CHANNEL NUMBER AS 50 & GIVE ANY NAME,
NOW SWITCH OFF UR HANDSET & SWITCH IT ON AFTER 2 MINS.
NOW U WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE DISCOUNTS ON UR MAIN SCREEN ITSELF LIKE HOW U CAN SEE IN NOKIA PHONES.

nice service from uninor.. no complaints
no tension.
Karan August 18, 2010 at 5:35 pm
U get cell broadcasting in all handsets. in samsung & other models just go to message in tat settings then broadcasting, ter u make it on & for channel no give 50.
deep August 18, 2010 at 5:23 pm
I think a point most people miss is that even if you only get 5% discount – its 5% off on 1pps – so it’s still cheaper than anything else available today. Instead of cribbing about whether u get 15% or 20% and how you don’t get too much 50 or 60% – look at it this way – no matter how much or how little discount you get – it’s still the most affordable than anything in the market.
AJAY RAO August 18, 2010 at 4:57 pm
no from past 1 month discount is max 15 % at any time whether 1 am or 1 pm.
so what is use of it if we get 10 % means 45 p call rate so what is good in this plan.
rather this i would go 4 constant plan.
uninor lacks in offers.
Anbu John Boban August 18, 2010 at 4:31 pm
good one…
pari August 18, 2010 at 3:23 pm
uninor’s dynamic pricing has been quite effective for me and now with dynamic pricing available on per sec calls, its going to get better.
Karthik Kumar V G August 18, 2010 at 3:18 pm
@Agnivo
For other phones (other than nokia) you will see the discount as a flash message before or after the call. For me I have samsung and it shows after the call. Normally I get 25% to 40%, also every week I get message from Uninor saying how much I saved last week…
CommonMan August 18, 2010 at 2:53 pm
In Chinese phones DP % is displayed as flash SMS/text when call is intiated but we can’t see that.. we can see that after ‘end’ of call
ronny August 18, 2010 at 2:29 pm
i am using uninor and i don’t see any trouble with pricing, i mean they have been more cost effective than the others i have used. And what the hell about not getting discounts.. it has happened only a few times that i have got a discount of 15% or less else it has always been more than 25 or even 30. 60% is a bit difficult but i have got that too. so i think uninor is quite good, better than many others.
ritin August 18, 2010 at 2:03 pm
It is the best plan in the market if you speak for longer than a minute coz then your effective call rate is very very less…I have made calls @ 50% discount as well so dont see an issue as to why others should not be able to experience it. I think this is a very very good plan by Uninor.
anandh August 18, 2010 at 1:09 pm
i think standard charge per call (39p+29p for first minute thereafter 29p per min.) is better if we speak more than 5 min. is cheaper comparing other operators. uninor is waste.
dream 123 August 18, 2010 at 12:20 pm
they always misleadng advt by uninor
Kaushik Roy August 18, 2010 at 12:11 pm
they can not seen that discount
so change to nokia handsets if really wanted services of FRAUDNOR oops UNINOR
Agnivo August 18, 2010 at 12:06 pm
Well, just have a query regarding uninor DP plan. We know that on some handsets (like Chinese, samsung etc) we do not have option to see the cell broadcast on main screen. So how will these subscribers see the current discount?
ashis August 18, 2010 at 12:02 pm
dynamic pricing defies logic bcause u can get 30p/min local and 40p-50p/min constant plan and people dont wait for discounts to make calls, they make calls when the need is there.
Kaushik Roy August 18, 2010 at 12:02 pm
If the current marketing trend is all calls 50 paise then Dynamic Plan can became effective, but now the local call rate is 30paise/min by majority new operators and std is 40paise/min by newn operators
so uninor should bring a normal plan of maximum 35 paise for all calls
zareef August 18, 2010 at 11:50 am
uninor have to come with some new plan… Dynamic pricing not so effective
Ajay Rao August 18, 2010 at 11:45 am
It is of no use bcoz they r saying up to 60% discount but i never got more then 15% discount at any of corner of city or town.
At earlier time launch i got constant 40 to 50 % discount but now it is max 15 &
so big fruad so newer bangladeshi grameenphone to unionor india.
dskushwaha August 18, 2010 at 11:34 am
Uninor said “Dynamic Pricing puts customers in control of their own tariffs with the possibility of a better discount just a street corner away.” is not true but it should be like this “Dynamic pricing snatches the control of customers own tariffs with the possibility of a worse rate just a street corner away.”
This is because STD @ 30p/min or 40p/min is becoming norms. So why search for a different location or delay your talk for better rates when you can get best rates right now.
Kaushik Roy August 18, 2010 at 11:30 am
Uninor/Telenor is a fraud operator
u can get max 15% discount all time
dont go for it
use other operators
