@All
Those who are asking for Uninor launch in Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan.
Here are the some points you should be aware of:
1. It is true that Uninor hasn’t launch its mobile services in anyone of these 6 circles as of now.
2. As per their Customer Service Head (Contact No. 0124-3329000), the commercial launch is in the process and there will be announcement soon. When I asked when, they told it to be in next 2-4 months. In October, they said, “next 1-2″ month but as you can see no commercial launch as of now. So can’t say whether new timeline by them is true or will get further delayed.
3. Signals are live at some places like at mine in Haryana but not everywhere as infrastructure set up work is in progress and 75% areas will be covered by June, 2012. Commercial launch will be announced after 40-50% of coverage.
4. SIM cards are too available at some places in these circles but they are not up for sale. I somehow got one as it (SIM cards) is available in my town and after so many requests to circle head and customer care, they activated it. I can call but no VAS packs like SMS/Internet packs can be activated. Only top-ups can be done.
After Nov 3, the activation process is completely stopped. No new activation even if you have the SIM.
5. If you look at the subscribers figures released in November, 2011 for October month, it is showing 70-220 Uninor customers in some of these circles which suggests trials are going on.
So I request all to wait for sometime. There were some legal issues and company was unable to raise funds to expand its operation in some circles. You can understand that without money, no one can expand its business. That’s why it was put on hold. But everything seems to be OK now as they ave got the spectrum from DoT and have also raised funds for their operations.
All we have to do is wait for sometime.

@Raghu
I had already complained many times but nothing happened.. How can they install a tower when funds in the company are completely dried up, They are taking short term loans to pay employee salaries & banks are not giving long term loans to new operators!!

Bikram December 6, 2011 at 10:15 pm
In Bihar Uninor has a good subscriber base mainly due to 198 recharge offer which gives users free talk time for both on net & off net calls..
Rohan Singh December 6, 2011 at 10:01 pm
Coverage is even better than Airtel.
Abhishek Dutta December 6, 2011 at 9:45 pm

Amit.G December 6, 2011 at 7:37 pm
One of the fastest operator is idea. They are really amazing, idea when acquired spice was left wit 3000odd towers but within 2 years it was increased to 10000 towers. Today idea is on par with Airtel interms of coverage. They installed towers at the rate of 10 to 12 towers a day.
Amit.G December 6, 2011 at 7:32 pm
Not a single new town covered in 2 years, Really i havent seen any operator like this. Even spice telecom used to install atleast 10 to 20 towers per month!!
Surtej December 6, 2011 at 7:23 pm
Hi Garg Really where you saw ? Its only on their web site
Amit Deb Biswas December 6, 2011 at 7:20 pm

anubhav11 December 6, 2011 at 6:50 pm
when will it be launching in himachal???
raja December 6, 2011 at 6:47 pm
the operator is good in terms of service good offers, full and more talk time, stv are too good. the cheapest in ODISHA market. but only one problem is very weak network. most of the places full outdoor coverage but no indoor coverage. if this problem is solved in Odisha then no operator can beat Uninor.it just remind us the initial days of AIrcel in 2006- 2007, in Odisha when that network was launched. now this Aircel is behaving like Airtel………….and this Uninor is doing the job of Aircel…………good going……….uninor……..
Surtej December 6, 2011 at 6:39 pm
