TRAI Exempts Machine to Machine SMSes From the Limit of 200 SMS/Day

Now, there seems to be good news for all the Service Organizations! Indian Telecom regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today exempted the machine to machine and person to machine messages from the limit of 200 SMS per day per SIM.

TRAI said that it has received representations from various companies, for clarification regarding delivery of information through SMS related to services or maintenance provided by them to their customers.

Such services include providing details of driver or taxi on booking of Radio Taxi, tentative date of delivery of goods, tentative date of attending complaint, contact details of person attending the complaint etc.

In this regard, TRAI clarified that it has already issued a Direction dated 25th October, 2011 in which it has categorized information sent by a registered company to its employees or agents or its customers pertaining to services or goods to be delivered to such customer under Transactional message.

So a registered company may send information pertaining to services or goods to be delivered to customer under Transactional message category.

I have been using BSNL Postpaid since 2006 but my father has been using BSNL Postpaid Since 2003. He is an IFS officer I have visited many national parks through out India with my father. Each and every time when I visited in any National park the network of BSNL following me every time even at the core of the forest where you cant see any man made infrastructures. The looters private operators are not providing full connectivity to Military at core area because they only know profit. As far as Service is Concerned in MY area BSNL is best, best and best. If you are talking about rate cutters then don’t mention Airtel and Vodafone in your Passage. Living only in cities and some big villages you can not evaluate BSNL.@Fahad

please confine yourself to GSM. Anyways BSNL EVDO also works in roaming. You will see BSNL will be the first operator who will make roaming free after the implementation of Telecom Policy like it made Incoming free while in home network. IF BSNL were not there you will be call making at the rate of highest possible rate because all this private operators will make cartel.

How long have you been using BSNL pre or postpaid….
I guess i started.using it from 2005 when only bsnl was present in my circle and then came airtel and aircel…
U mentioned if bsnl wouldn’t have been their and so on…
By the way taking abou my circle my dad being a bsnl postpaid customer from 2002 and me a prepaid customer of the same from 2005 , have seen nothing done by so called backbone of indian telephony…
Till 2010 they were not giving the std facility in out postpaid coz we needed to pay some extra security amount when in other operators nothing like this was present from the beginning…
still no proper indoor coverage at many places…
Most of the times network will remain busy…
Subscribing to gprs is a pain as their will be no link for many days or if their will be any then oh my God what the hell you would shout like this…
Still their is a partiality in network….
Call tariff well they did it by following pvt operators only…
Their 3g is like a nightmare for me …
No sms at my circle… it has been banned. ..
Customer service …??? Better will be not to comment ….
call connectivity…. other operators are far better… Cant rely on Bsnl …
Now comming to your statement if bsnl wouldn’t have been their then it would have been better for many people like me…
They are good for broadband and landlines only and ya maybe evdo also once in a blue moon i used evdo also but after coming to delhi(dwarka) no evdo so no bsnl…
And one more thing in my circle only private operator give affordable prices compared to bsnl which still have the abnormal validity and recharge system .. Most of the times i won’t be able to rc my bsnl no … Tgeir ctop up won’t work…
Well man i have hell lot of things to discuss about your if bsnl wouldn’t have been their !!!!!!
I was happy with my Vodafone and Airtel in my circle … They provide me the best in class service which can’t be matched by any other operator….
Even Aircel is best in my circle…
I would rate operator s in my circle as
    Network(call connectivity/quality etc)….
    Airtel

Im Using 2 Sims, 1 is Airtel & Other is Bsnl. In Airtel, On Block out days & All the days I can able to enjoy Airtel 2 Airtel Calls at 10p/min using the normal rate cutters. Only the sms charges are hiked on block out days, not the call charges.
But, in Bsnl, On block out days, both calls & sms charges are hiked. Rate cutter for On-net calls & Off-net calls will not work, family & friends call charges will not work, sms boosters will not work. They used to charge based on the base tariff for all calls & sms.
Why Bsnl alone charging more for calls on block out days? Now tell me who is looting more on block out days??

    totally agreed with you…….

+ gprs pack also not working on black out days in bsnl,,,,,,

Let me explain you one thing previously call charges were 50p/min and now it has become 60p/min . this is the base tariff. IN SMS also they have changed so many plans by increasing the rates as they want. pvt operators are the first to loot customers and then only BSNL may/may not follow suit.

Private operators r far better than Bsnl. Bsnl is not only hiking tariff for sms on block out days, the call charges too, booster packs calls, friends & family number calls doesnt work on block out days, All the calls are charged on base tariff plan. Bsnl also looting more than the private operators.
