Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading telecom operators, is organising a unique on-ground customer engagement initiative at Garuda Mall on October 16th in keeping with its recently launched Vodafone BlackBerry campaign.
A flash mob of dancers dressed up as the Vodafone Blackberry boys (in suits also) will sing, dance and get the mall visitors to join in excitement.
There will be an on the spot fun contest, karoke and lots more. Vodafone has put up an Event invite on Facebook and has circulated this among their fans.
Over the course of the event on Saturday, Vodafone will be putting up videos, photos and messages/tweets up on Facebook and Twitter live over the day.
Post and during the event, fans and customers can also upload pictures directly on http://www.facebook.com/pages/Vodafones-BlackBerry-Boys/155440261151496 where they can also tag, get votes, comments from friends. The entire activity will be filmed and videos, pictures, feeds are going to be uploaded on Youtube, Twitter and facebook to create a lot of online buzz.
Vodafone has also tied up with select Café Coffee Day outlets in Bangalore to offer a special shake ‘Vodafone BlackBerry Blast’ at just `15 on a purchase above `115.
On Sunday, 17th Oct, the flash mob will visit :
– Jayanagar, near Cool Joint – 11.30 am
– Koramangala 80 feet road – 1 pm
– Church st, opp Benetton showroom – 2.15 pm
– Lavelle road, near Cafe Coffee Day – 4 pm
– Kamanahalli, near Cafe Coffee Day– 6pm

yeah after paying 14k you dont even get 3g or wifi…its better to go for the nokia e72 rather going for a blackberry…you have to pay around 20k inorder to get all the features

I totally agree with Vodafone campaign that you can do more using blackberry. But the point is Blackberry phones are priced very high…All other feature except Blackberry messaging is available in most of the high end phones with less price. So why a person has to choose blackberry for using facebook, twitter, web browsing, etc.., when they have less cost phones that offer similar feature. I really don’t understand Blackberry & Vodafone strategy on this campaign.
