Telenor India launches 4G services in Guntur and Rajahmundry

Telenor India today announced the launch of high speed 4G services for its customers in Guntur and Rajahmundry. The launch in Guntur and Rajahmundry follows the successful test pilot of Telenor’s 4G services across its 6 circles in Varanasi, Vizag, Amravati, Agra, Anand, Lucknow, Ranchi, Vijayawada, Tenali, Eluru, Bhimavaram, Dhanbad, Warangal and Dehradun.

Speaking on the occasion, Shrinath Kotian, Circle Business Head – AP&TS, Telenor India, said “We are really excited to offer high speed 4G services to our Guntur and Rajahmundry customers. The high speed 4G data packs comes at seven different price point starting from Rs 85 to Rs 249. STV 85 offers 500MB 4G data for a validity of 21 days. Wherein STV 149 offers 1 GB 4G data + all local and STD calls @ 25p/min with the validity of 28 days. For high end data users, company has launched STV 249 which offers 2 GB 4G data + all local calls and STD calls at 25p/min with the validity of 28 days. Customers can avail this offer by walking into any of the fully functional Telenor branded stores in Guntur & Rajahmundry and few selected retail outlets.

For new Telenor subscribers, company has introduced special tariff voucher (STV) of 189 rupees which offers Rs. 40 talktime, 1 GB 4G data and all Local & STD calls at 25 paise/minute with the validity of 28 days.

Telenor AP & TS has announced the modernization of its entire network in 2015. As of now 64% of its sites have been modernized. To make its network future ready, Telenor has deployed latest Technology Equipment that provides superior voice and data experience. At the sites that have been migrated to the new technology, Telenor has reduced congestion and increased data throughput resulting in an improved network experience for its customers. This is one of the biggest network modernization deal made by Telenor Group across its business units.
