Reliance Jio is planning to begin its operations in full swing this September and it has already started increasing the worries for competitors. It is believed that it is offering about 20-25 percent salary hikes to the circle head level management of other operators to switch their jobs to Reliance Jio.

It plans on having a phased roll out in the country and the hiring is in sync with that as well. It is focusing on senior level management for the time being to build a strong work force that is competent enough to take on the competition in all departments. It is relying on the expertise and knowledge levels of the senior level officials in the competitors and is hiring them with perks and benefits.

As a result, the other operators have started giving out better retention packages to their staff as they surely wouldn't want an expert from their stable to go to another competitor. "Competition is looking for our people. They like our people. This year in appraisals, the attachment of salary increases to performance has been stronger than ever at Vodafone", is what Ashok Ramchandran, director, HR for Vodafone India said in statement reports ET.

The same has been happening in the world of mobiles too with Obi mobiles taking away some of the top level management from the likes of Micromax and HTC India. New companies want to come in the market with a bang and they seek professional expertise to aid their efforts. Veterans from the competitors form the perfect tool to do so.
