Tata Teleservices Limited has launched an exclusive offer for Open Market High-Speed Internet Access (HSIA) handsets customers across the country, both on the pre-paid and post-paid platforms.
These HSIA handsets from Blackberry, Samsung and LG support data download speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps.
On the purchase of any new HSIA-ready handset, pre-paid customers can avail free 500 local On-Net minutes for a month and free data usage of 10 GB, with a validity of two months.
Similarly, new post-paid customers can enjoy free data usage of 15 GB per month for two months, and also free 500 local On-Net minutes for a month.
Customers are free to choose from the plethora of data-specific plans, or opt for any other plan of their choice. Additionally, new pre-paid and post-paid customers will get VAS usage worth Rs 100 free.
New pre-paid customers will have to recharge their number with FRC 98 (First Recharge Voucher of Rs 98)—this will give them free talk time worth Rs 25. Whereas existing customers can simply purchase a new HSIA-ready handset and recharge with a Special Recharge Voucher of Rs 17 to avail the same benefits. The offer will be available till 31 December 2010.
The Tata Photon Plus proposition for mobiles is available across a large range of open-market handsets from Samsung, starting at Rs 5,090 (Samsung Corby TV, Metro TV, Mpower TV and Mpower Txt). Handsets from LG include the LG Cookie Zip 510 and LG Cookie Spark 235, starting from Rs 5,000. Customers are also free to choose from exciting range of HSIA-ready handsets from Blackberry—Curve, Tour and Bold, which come with exciting voice and data plans.
After enjoying the free data usage, all post-paid and pre-paid customers will be charged at 50 paise per MB for Internet data usage. There is an extra benefit for customers who buy the Samsung Mpower Txt handset—they will get free unlimited usage of GTALK till 31 October 2011 (this service is available in select HSIA cities).

Tata indicom is giving 2.5 GB @Rs95 with 30 days validity in delhi for its mobile phone customers.

@ SOM : there is an entire range of data packs on offer, with tariffs on HSIA comparable to GPRS tariffs of GSM. So in effect you get a 3G like experience at the cost of 2G. For example a Rs 94 RC will give you 350MB with 60 day validity and Rs 320 = 1GB/90Days

I m using CDMA (tata indicom) from 3 yrs. I m really very satisfied wid their voice clarity and good offers. Though I also have purchased samsung wave but mostly (almost 98%) do calls from my cdma phones.
Yes, vishal is right. I have used internet on my PC by using tata indicom cdma handset and was really surprised. I got the downloading speed of around 50-78 kb/sec during the night at 9:00.

@rajiev
Yes, I agree wid u. a yrs ago almost 65% people in my surroundings was using nokia but now the fig. is something very different. Almost 60% are using Samsung mobiles (about smartphones only). In CDMA undoubtedly it dominate. Nokia has been stopped manufacturing cdma phones. Presently, samsung is providing better display, faster processing speed, better sound quality and camera than nokia. Also, smartphones from nokia hang more than any of its counterparts.

CDMA!!!
Tata indicom provides HSIA service on Photon+ and some EVDO enabled mobiles. This article is about EVDO enabled mobiles. Tata Indicom uses term HSIA for EVDO.

@rajiev
I would recommend CDMA, 2 reasons for that:
1) Good voice clarity, coverage is strong
as compare to GSM.
2) Data speed is much much faster than GSM.
Photon is successful because of this only.
Now a days you can find good quality handsets also for CDMA in market which earlier was a barrier..

@Kerala
I am using…and is working perfect. Actually people does not understand the technology properly, and CDMA is viewed as low category technology. But infact its very rich technology, u won’t get voice clarity like cdma anywhere else. Also data speed is double than GSM. Even faster than GPRS.

@ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR
boss 2years ago i used samsung mobile.. But it’s service is not good.. I never use sony ericson.. So i can’t comment of that.. And Blackberry is high cost that not possible for all people.. But Nokia is best for everything.. I always recommand my friends to go for Nokia.. And what about me?? Hehe.. I can’t imagine my mobile without Nokia..
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR December 5, 2010 at 1:06 pm
@Amit Deb Biswas
Blackberry Mobiles are Better than Nokia Mobiles. COZ Blackberry Has Smarter Signal Reception and is Proved To Be The Best One in 3G. SAMSUNG and SONYERICSSON are Better Than Nokia MIDRANGED,HIGHEND AND LOWEND Mobiles Why I’m Comparing is New Nokia Mobiles Can’t Drag The Signals Upto a Maximum Of 500M. Even The BTS Located On The Top Of The Roof Of Your Home it Won’t Give Good Signals
