Tata Photon+ Reduces Dongle PriceIn the midst of severe competition in wireless broadband market, Tata Teleservices lowers the entry point for Tata Photon+, EVDO based wireless broadband services by bringing down the price of the Tata Photon+ dongles at just Rs 1499.

Other EVDO players - Reliance, BSNL & MTS already lowered the dongle price for some time, while Tata Photon+ brings the price down to Rs 1799/1899 to earlier Rs 2399/2499/2599.




The new price of Tata Photon+ dongles will be applicable for all models and all circles of the country. Postpaid users will get a 100% cashback offer with discount of Rs 100 for 15 months on selected plans. Tata Whiz users can upgrade to Tata Photon+ at Rs 1000 only.

Tata Photon+ currently operates with EVDO Rev A and offers speed upto 3.1 Mbps downlink and 1.8 Mbps uplink. TTSL announced the roll out of EVDO rev B phase II network in coming days to offer upto 14.7 Mbps download speed.

Currently BSNL EVDO dongle costs Rs 1499, Reliance Netconnect+ dongle at Rs 1299 and MTS MBlaze dongles are available at Rs 1599/1549.

MTS also rolled out MBlaze Ultra (EVDO Rev B Phase II) devices at Rs 2499 and supports upto 9.8 Mbps download speed.
