Tata Teleservices Limited today announced the launch of Tata Photon Plus MP3 Device which offers a host of music features like MP3, Radio and recording along with Internet Surfing.
The new device combines the benefit of wireless internet connectivity and music. Customers will also get a free 2GB micro-SD card for data storage.
Using the new device one will get uninterrupted internet connectivity, secondly the new device can also be used as MP3 or users can access FM radio while it is unplugged.
The device is available for both post-paid and pre-paid customers and is priced at Rs.3199.The device packaging will also have a complimentary Hungama music voucher that will give the customers an access to unlimited music download for a month from the date of activation.

Ok, I dont know where he posted his speedtest but we really dont need that much even if you want to watch HD streaming. And this is trial period, you may get those speeds now and in reality it is totally different as the time goes on. Initially all these operators come with very very costly plans. By the time we get the low tariff plans let us hope in 2 years or less, we may get those 21.6 Mbps modems for 500 or free with providers. So, please wait a minute, think well if you really need that much speed for your purpose and how much you can afford per month and per GB also. Then you can think of buying 21.6 MBps ( Atleast wait till TDC come with tariff and conditions–atleast wait for 1 week to know the reality of their tariff and hidden conditions–only practical people know them)
I feel, if some one wants to rip all the internet (all websites) then he may need that speed. becoz he never see the completion and it is never ending.

He get 1.079 MB/sec(8.632 Mbps) speed on his nokia E72 connected to his pc.
Means if we use HSPA+ device we can get speed more than 10 Mbps on average.
And tata docomo network is capable of 21 Mbps if use on right device.

Dont go for 21.6Mbps yet. Time being go with 7.2 Mbps and our networks are CAPABLE of 21.6 Mbps speed (as they saying) but we wont see that speed in the next 2 years.
Dont waste your money, just live in present

Agar 512 kbps ki speed Tata ke anusaar theek hai to fir price 10 mbps speed wala kyon hai? Tata Indicom ne Tata ki reputation jitni badhai thi, Tata Photon Plus utni hin kam kar raha hai.

Launching such type of device means Tata is deviating from it’s path. Tata Photon Plus is for better internet only. Who needs MP3 player? Tata has totally failed to serve the people of India with a good option for internet. It is too costly compared to similar service of BSNL. Ajeeb baat hai! Private companies apni service ka rate jyada rakhte the apni behtar service ke damm par. Ab to inka coverage bhi ghatiya, service bhi ghatiya lekin price fir bhi upar? Speed bhi ghatiya dete hain fir customer ki complain bhi nahin sunte hain. Itni sari technologies aa gayi lekin India ke aam log abhi bhi ek saste aur achchhe internet ke liye taras rahe hain.

I think for a normal user 7.2mbps is more than sufficient. so switch to BSNL where their is no point of getting cheated in postpaid bills as well as in prepaid.
And it is for sure that Bsnl will again reduce its unlimited plan from 700rs to may be 400 or 500rs pm.

Mates, Let us enjoy BSNL for the time being and will evaluate these private players once they all launched and come down with competitive prices. I am using BSNL 3g from the last 45 days and my last month unlimited for 1499/- has reached the datatransfer of more than 200GB but not caped by BSNL, Again i renewed with their latest plan 700/- per month with 4200/- six months, still using round the clock
Dont dream in future, live in present. I am sure TATADOCOMO tariff on 3g will be sour grape for us.

One thing you guys forgetting. TATADOCOMO network can capable of 21.6 Mbps but if how much they cap dont know and even not so , that speed will take our lives, that is not for ordinary people like us, they want to mint from corporates. DOnt live in dreams.

They have given these things keeping in mind the fact that they are providing 10-15 gb data limits which even a dumbest will surely cross in 15-20 days, so what would they do with data card later??
they have provided the solution themselves listen music, fm & forget surfing.
Also look at their unlimited plans 900rs. for 5gb limit after which ur old gives better surfing speed…

This report reveals the poor Customer Service of Tata Indicom. They have the worst Customer Care Service. In this report MTNL alongwith Tata Tele disappoints everyone with its poorest service among all operators for Basic Telephone Service (Landline) also.

There should be a consumer bill which should punish the chairman of the company for their poor services and should be jailed and heavily fined and the licence be cancelled and sell the infrastructure to remaining by ebidding/public bidding.
Then only every one come in line.
Indian courts such a great that they cannot do anything if a ruling government cant implement their manifesto and what they said in.Useless judiciary system

Im using BSNL EVDO n i find it the most economical…. Paid 2000 rs for the device. Monthly usage charge is 700 rs for true unlimited usage. EVDO operators like Reliance broadband plus and tata photon plus both cost almost twice as much for monthly usage charge. MTS is ok with 999 rs for 12GB plan but its a very restrictive Fair Usage policy.
Over all BSNL Evdo is the best in terms of Network coverage and cost.
The Answer is simple For EVDO : BSNL

TATA is a reputed BRAND that has dependability plus cheap ! Take any fields of consumer relevance in India its reliability has never been questionable. BUT SINCE THEY HAVE ENTERED INTO TELECOM it at the BOTTOM. They started with vsnl and the negativity is increasing day-by day. sOME solace COULD BE seen in TATAINDICOM with with TATADOCOMO AND ITS 3G more heat would be generated that could finally end by the most talked/used words TA TA !! TA TA! A new Avataar of BASMASUR in the making ??

What is the use of this device? To listen music or to surf internet? Tata should think first of all that what is the use of any device they are going to launch? It may be a better option for a person who surf internet but dont have a multimedia mobile. Now search such type person. Can you find?

3200/-Price is too high.
It is better to buy a 21.6 Mbps (Huawei K4505) modem For Rs.4500/- While Tata Docomo 3G is providing such a Good Speed (21.6 Mbps).
Airtel is going to launch 14.4 Mbps 3G services.

yeh kashmir mai b bohat hi bakwaas hai…. 1 day i m using frinds photon prepaid and the speed is 256kbps to 512kbps not good….. then i call CC for registring the complaint they we cant register your complant bcoz the speed is 512kbps and that a good speed we cant register ur complant at that time i disconnect my call they r looting us with two two hands so beware of these froud companies……

Guys, dont lose your hard earned money for these. TATAPHOTON plus itself is too costly compared to 3g, device is costly and browsing is costly and you will never get a 3g speed on this. It is just 512Kbps experience
3G datacard will come for 1600 to 2000 and still drop with great speeds. 2GB mp3 players are scrap now and now all mobiles with dual sim for 1400/- also having better player.
