Tata Photon has upgraded its network with the Rev. B Phase II technology providing data speeds of upto 9.8Mbps on its Photon Max Wi-Fi Data Card, up from the 6.2Mbps presently available. All existing customers will automatically be able to access the higher speeds on their network as the network upgrade will be compatible with their existing Photon Max Wi-Fi devices. The Wi-Fi feature allows consumers to create their personal Wi-Fi zones and connects upto five devices simultaneously. Furthermore, customers incur no roaming charges nationally on the use of this product, which makes it highly convenient and easy for travellers to continue to seamlessly access data while on the move.

Both postpaid and prepaid customers will benefit from this rollout irrespective of their billing plans.

if this is true, then i wish to know will it have any effect in the call quality & network quality for calls in Delhi/NCR?

cuz they have a postpaid plan of Unlimited calls at 1099/-* but the network is very poor!

I’m using Tata Photon Max Wifi, but so far I didn’t feel any change as yet..

Do they provide services in Greater Noida??

    • debashish June 9, 2014 10:58 am

well don’t know if they have a store there or not but you can purchase it from Noida.. In terms of connectivity it’s good, since I used it once for my GPS navigation there.. I had no clue on how to reach Galgotias University.. I created a hotspot & used it.. I felt it was good over there but since I don’t reside there, I can’t be sure about the overall performance..

Tried it yesterday morning at one of there outlets… The guys was a customer care representative… Who was helping to get a live demo… He connected the wifi max to his cpu… Successfully connected…
Guess was I asked him to open speed test.. He refused.. Finally after a lot of arguments.. He did… N the speed was pathetic… Did not even cross 200 Kb/s… In a SEZ(SPECIAL ECONOMI ZONE)

THE EXCUSE THAT HE gave was like… Sir this modem is under the table.. That y less speed

Guys don’t even think of buying this piece of shit.. It’s waste

Mts is much much better than tata.

  • Abhinav June 6, 2014 12:52 pm

Try MTS they are far better than Tata at this point of time. I am using MTS data card and they are providing High Speed till 40GB at just 999rs per month. I have also used TATA but now satisfied with MTS.

you are Abhinav but in Maharashtra now they don’t have presence.

till Last year I was using it was good in terms of speed and money ratio.
