In the recent Times we saw that Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel, Relaince and IDEA Cellular hiked prepaid tariff in certain circles, now it seems that Tata Docomo is also joining the gang with private operator’s with the hike in Karnataka region.
This changes are from effective 19th Aug 2011, where is its existing First recharge coupon and recharge coupons will have a marginal tariff hike in its plan.
In its existing recharges of RC 41 & RC 36 customer would be charged at 1.2ps/sec instead of 1ps/sec as their base tariff. And it’s existing FRC’s FRC 39, 45, 53 & 249 the Base voice tariff plan would be 1.2ps/sec.
Customer’s can choose a wide range of Rate cutters to reduce the tariff. Existing customer recharges done before 19th aug 2011 continue to enjoy at 1ps/sec as their base tariff.
Any new activations or Recharge coupons (RC 36 & RC 41) after 19th Aug 2011 will fall back in the new tariff plan. For more details customer can call on 121 or 9036012345.

Hi my self is Irfan I am using tata docomo prepaid sim last one year and my cell no.7411784405. last three months the Tata Docomo service per four days deducted amount of Rs.10 and every time then I call to customer care center (No.121), they told u have activated Bollywood Mirchi Service, when I told I don’t activate that service, they are accept my request and refund my amount and told me this type of service not activate in future, The Tata Docomo same service activate on my No. approximatly 8-9 times. Today aslo they deducted my Rs.10 dated 19/12/2011. Its too shameless on the tatadocom’s management.

I am a tatadocomo customer with the 9030408396 mobile # I have
notice tatadocomo is stealing money from my prepaid account balance.
Early this month Rs.4/- was deducted and when I called Customer Care I
was told this was because I activated Games Vale Pack “which is a
white lie” by tatadocomo and when I asked the Customer Care executive
for more details, he apologized and agreed to refunded the deducted
amount.
On Aug 30, 2011 tatadocomo stole away Rs.57/- from my prepaid balance.
I called Customer Care and register a complaint (GBL0913913655
complaint No.) immediately Rs.27/ had been refunded. I am still
waiting for tatadocomo to refund Rs.30/.
It a shame on the tatadocomo’s management who is now stealing its customers.

suhas August 20, 2011 at 9:55 am

Sukhen August 20, 2011 at 6:21 am
BSNL base tariff is 1 paisa/second and 49 paisa / minute with out any STV. BSNL IS BEST NOW.
dhivakar August 19, 2011 at 10:29 pm
tata docomo has become mad! its an idiot! if tata docomo is charging 1.2 p with worse network compared to that of airtel, vodafone etc. who are also charging 1.2p, then why the f**k would anyone chose tata docomo!
this will result in customers of tata docomo moving to the likes of airtel, vodafone, idea etc using MNP.
josf August 19, 2011 at 10:11 pm
i think they will increase the tariff in tamilnadu circle soon because of more subscribers are present
Xain August 19, 2011 at 9:38 pm
It sad that now a days companies like docomo are doing this. they are one’s who started the 1p era!
saswat August 19, 2011 at 9:08 pm
docomo
is this what you call “do the new”!!
josf August 19, 2011 at 9:07 pm
@Jagan friend 1.2 paise means 0.012 that will not create such kind of problem 84 x 0.012 = 1.008
Abhijit S August 19, 2011 at 8:32 pm
With 1.2p/s, one will go with best network coverage operator and hence operators with poor coverage will loose their active subscribers soon.
Once can also go for postpaid plans if they offer really good tariff than in prepaid now.
Rising inflation is also another reason in the hike of tariffs.
Idea having best network coverage in Maharashtra is still offering 1p/s tariff in prepaid and also in postpaid with new PSB plan which is used by me.
Docomo has the worst coverage in Maharashtra and if they increase tariff here then surely they will suffer a big loss as one can port to other operators easily.
Jagan August 19, 2011 at 7:32 pm
I hope all operators might cheat the users in this 1.2 paise/ sec. Bcas how there are going to calculate exact amount of the call?
Eg. My last two calls
01.24 mins( 84 secs) – 84 x 1.2 paise = 100.8 paise
03.02 mins (182 secs) – 182 x 1.2 paise = 218.4 paise.
How would the balance calculated with this .8 and .4 paise?
Members please clarify..

With 1.2p/sec on BOTH AirTel and Docomo, why should one go for Docomo with pathetic coverage???
So now DOCOMO HAS DID THE DONE AND NOT THE NEW… They will get new activa

naveen gatke August 19, 2011 at 3:52 pm
aircel is still great
dinesh August 19, 2011 at 2:46 pm
Raising inflation has hit everyone and everything.telecom sector is not immune to it.tarif hike was expected sooner or later.
Mane August 19, 2011 at 2:30 pm
1.2p/sec suits airtel and vodafone because they have greatest coverage even in rural areas.
Operators like reliance docomo should keep their charges at 1p/sec because every customer of these operators is suffering with network problem.
Swarup sen August 19, 2011 at 1:50 pm
Docomo, ka network coverage yeha kharap hai.Fir v agar yeha hike ho to sab airtel ,vodafone.Lelega.
Raghu August 19, 2011 at 1:47 pm
the worst move by DOCOMO . they were the first one to introduce 1p/sec and now they are increasing the tariff as they want.
Raghu August 19, 2011 at 1:44 pm
@Rudrateja
They will not increase the tariff anytime soon in AP becoz they do not have good subscriber base in AP. they will first increase the tariff where they are good and then increase later on in other circles.
Kaushik Roy August 19, 2011 at 1:25 pm
1.2 paise is the base tariff without any power
tariff can still be reduced by recharging with special tariff vouchers
Rudrateja August 19, 2011 at 12:48 pm
If it was Done in andhra. I will defiantly switch to Airtel which has best network coverage
AVINASH M August 19, 2011 at 12:17 pm
Operators are getting worse..
