Tata Docomo once again silently hikes the 2G data tariff in the line of latest revision done by Airtel, Vodafone and Idea. Now Tata Docomo offers 1GB 2G data for Rs 95 for 30 days, there is also withdrawl of some plans, as well as reduction of validity in plans.
For details of the 2G data packs from Tata Docomo, check below.
The above mentioned revision is confirmed in Kerala circle, and there may be slight changes in prices of Tata Docomo 2G data packs in other circles.
It has also introduced two new GPRS Packs Rs125 & Rs 249, with a data benefit of 1.25GB and 3G data with validity for 30days.

airtel give me specail offer 300mb 2g net or 700sms local in 15rs with 15 day val…so 600mb net 2g or 1400 sms local in 30rs with 30 day val…so thts is good or also they give 15 min in 5rs
voda hike,idea also,mtnl dont knw about the traiff.rel gsm same give 2gb give 98rs(dont knw speed)….
but in rel cdma
in rel 98 they give 100 sms per day or 1gb per month lspeed ike 3g with 6 months val….

here in vadodara and some imp cities in gujarat tatadocomo has no network of its own and uses videocon and aircel network under ICRA..
the gprs pack are
96rs 100mb 1month
196rs 200 mb 1 month
296rs 300 mb 1 month..
am so glad that i ported out of docomo when there was time..
now enjoying airtel network!!!!!!

BSNL 2G speed in kerala is horrible. I got max download speed 10-14kb/s when I tower was just 800 meters away from my home.
Only Docomo, Reliance and Aircel has good speed. Aircel is almost gone and Docomo high tairff. Try Reliance, it has 20GB for Rs 248 3 months. Rs 63 2.5Gb 1 month. Rs 29 1 Gb 7 days.

if u are in city area then try for bsnl because u can use nearly 3g speed for 2g plan which is avaialble with bsnl only. try once itz best if u are in any city area.

By this not only the data usage got deducted, also i experianced much bigger problem. Let me explain what happend to me….(Kerala Circle)
I done 95 recharge this 2nd feb(only 1gb use for 30 days). Then i got a msg saying there is 148 rc plan which will give 8gb usage for 30 days.To activate that need to sms GPRS to 121. I msg as GPRS 148 (notice the space there). Then i got the msg saying ur pack of Rc 5 has been activated and i have 50 mb usage, All of my gprs balance gone which was there in my ac. I called the C.E, they say i got msged wrongly, tht y they activated that plane, i can they activated another plan when i sms wrongly. And also why is nt they add on the data usage as before????. So what i have to do now? port out?
One more question tht comes in mind is that, if somebody activated bigger intenet play (say RC250 whicj give 3 gb for 90 days)and if i recharge him with RC5, all of his data usage will be gone?
I hope somebody here hav something to say abt this… that y posting it here…..

Yes most operator cancel previous pack before activating new one. Not only for GPRS but also for SMS, voice and all other types of pack. Most operators don’t offer carry forward.

i am also faced this problem in tamilnadu.,one day early morning my mob balance deducted by approximately Rs.40 + …how i identified means,last night by balance is more,i slept just 8 Hrs,in this gap they decreased my amount without any information., then i spoke with CC person.he told wap setting message still there in your mobile,that’s y this reduction was happened.i totally shocked.,again i asked your network charging for setting message also,he said.., i replied same.,may be that person was newly appointed or without training…
Because of work., i didn’t follow that matter.., just i ported to BSNL.,
To avoid unwanted VAS activations., BSNL and Vodafone is better..

aircel has changed its 2g and 3g plans recently. aircel 2g gives 3-7KBps speed anywhere in kolkata. Aircel 3g gives 410KBps till you reach your 3g data limit but after that its 3-7KBps. In kolkata circle vodafone 2g is the best Rs196 unlimited which gives around 25KBps till 2GB and thereafter capped to 5.6KBps. I suggest you go for vodafone if you want to use 2g and aircel if you want 3g. BSNL has good 2g and 3g but you need to keep 50 rupees minimum balance for internet.

Dear All,
There is rumours in gujarat that tarrif may go up to Rs. 3 per minute, the reason being why people think is that every week they see hike in tariff either in base tariff or STV or reduction in validity for majority of all operator.
Idea having port in scheme of 10 paisa and 30 paisa for 6 month for all local calls, discontinued last week. Also it hiked all STV tariff by 5 paisa. So local and STD call will be 35 paisa.
Rs. 198 pack with 900 minutes by idea and airtel discontinued.
GPRS pack also revised by Idea, airtel and vodafone.
Also Docomo revised GPRS pack 2-3 times in last 2 month.
Reliance discontinued all popular STV for SMS, GPRS and call rates in gujarat.
There are approx. 500 to 1000% hike in GPRS and SMS pack by reliance in gujarat. You can check main page of website where still old pack is listed not changed but if you click online recharge, you can see revised pack.
Aircel disconitued services in gujarat which is worst part, as now there is few competitor which can challenge for rate cut.
BSNL got made and they are gone past of 2004 in hiking tarrif.
But………………..
Best part is Videocon came back in gujarat and I have seen some horading in some retailer where they are selling Sim for Rs. 100 which provides daily 60 minutes free and 1.5 GB GPRS.
Though since last week, videocon site not working, but I have seen all old plan and some new good plan introduced except STD where it is minimum 35 paisa.
So frnds enjoy Videocon, this to help some people not for marketing dear frnds. Also videocon will come up with some exciting offers that is for sure.

Well i don’t think they are capping speed when you recharge in 3G plan. As i have been using the these plans here in Andhrapradesh.
I have been using 37rs(200MB 3G data, after 128kbps), after 3g data is exhausted, i have used more than 1GB with 128kbps and still they are providing 128kbps.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
here you have to put your handset to GPRS mode from WCDMA mode after 3G data is exhausted. If you continue in WCDMA mode you will get only 3-4 kbps.

I will share one trick to use official 3G pack @ cheapest in Aircel Karnataka circle
Aircel provides 447 3G pack which provides 2GB 3G data/month with validity 3 months(After that Unlimited 2G)
1) Recharge with 225 topup twice, that will give 530 Talk Time (225 Topup -> 265 Talk Time)
2) Now dial *234*0447# to activate the 447 3G plan from own Balance
3) So u’ll have 83 Talk time in a/c without any val
So you spend total of 367 For the 447 3G plan, that means 122 Rs/ month for 2GB 3G data(Unlimited 2G, after FUP)
Also while doing 225 topup u can do it online by using various offers announced by operartors. Currently yebhi recharge offers 25 Rs off on 100 Recharge on Aircel numbers (So for 450 topup 125 Rs again off ).. Thus you can save further

Finally discovered the USSD code to get the 3G DATA balance in Aircel Unlimited 3G plans. The CC’s are not aware of this code, lol .. Its *122*011# in Aircel Karnataka (Not sure about other circles)

Airtel is trying hard to retain customers in Haryana. From last 6 months or so Airtel is offering some breathtaking offers like, Rs.34 giving 1p/2s calling for 90 days, 1GB internet for Rs.49 only and that too for 30 days. Similarly some customers getting SMSes of unlimited 2G Internet without any FUP for 7 days @Rs.15 only and 1000 SMS for Rs.15 valid for 15 days. But these offers only for those getting SMS or on best offer *121#. Actually Airtel customers base in Haryana is on a decline from last few quarters and declined from 2.7 million to now hovering around 2 million. So company is offering these plans in order to avoid port-outs.
Though voice rate-cutter pack prices, SMS packs, Internet packs prices are up but in Airtel Best Offers or My Offers people are still enjoying competitive pricing with Airtel which no other company offering specially the other two operators of the AVoId group i.e Idea and Vodafone. I’ve never seen Idea or Vodafone offering attractive sms or data or voice packs thru My Offers or Best Offers. My cousing is also using Airtel and from last 4 months he recharges with Rs.49 for 1GB data and he keep getting SMS regarding this offer every month. Today I got the same SMS and with 1GB data they also offering 750 SMS on my number for Rs.49.

From which district you belong. Aircel gprs plan has been withdrawn in Naugaur district which is purely icra based district where they are using docomo signal. I am from Hanumangarh district where aircel has own network.(ind 806)

Vodafone 155 was 3 gb ..now cancelled.
Docomo-On January 12th I recharged rs 149-4gb. now rs 249 for 3 Gb!!
Reliance GSM is cheap but useless.Idea is equally pricey.
Aircel Rs 97 -2 Gb I use it with in a day and give it to my child to use the unlimited at 32 kbps.

Go for airtel if you really want to enjoy good 2G experience.. Otherwise you’ll definitely frustrated if you pay money by just looking the amount of data and you can’t open the homepage of any website…
Think before you go for aircel 2G net plan…

TATA DOCOMO is Not Worthy to Use In Karnataka. Even The Network Coverage is not Good as Idea, AirTel, BSNL, Reliance, Vodafone and Aircel. Always No Network in Most of The Rural Areas. DOCOMO Need to Shut off Their Business instead of Aircel

In Rajasthan where no uninor and videocon, only aircel is oasis that offers very cheap call rates as low as 1p/3 sec for offnet too. Aircel rc 48 offer provides 2gb data+100 sms+200 local aircel minutes which is very cheap.
In October, aircel announced that they will close operations in some circles including Rajasthan but aircel still continues. Aircel improving network because I am getting aircel signals for 2 week where it was not available earlier.
Most of friends ported in aircel and they are very satisfied.

In rajasthan only few aircel numbers are valid to recharge with rate cutter packs. Rest numbers can only be topped up. I cant use any rate cutter or other SMS and GPRS on my number. But on my mothers aircel number I used
1) *122*41# to get 1GB internet for 1 month and L/N sms at 5p per sms.
2) *122*49# to get call rates of 1p/2s Local offnet.
But no luck on my number. Aicel CC executives also dont reply properly.

I think Aircel and RCOM GSM, these two operators are provide the best STV and offers. Its time to use the Porting facility.

@arindam,Bro…Reliance Gsm also increased data plan silently in pan-india, it’s main offer page not updated,But if you go online recharge section and see DATA plan..Now a days they give 1GB in STV127 Rs..When i’m checked its plan for gujarat in online recharge section they increased plan for 1GB @127 Rs…So reliance also cheater bcoz they not updated its plan on website…

I think there is UNDER THE TABLE DEAL between the private operators and BSNL. Private operators prevent the improvement of BSNL in outgoing call and STV matter. And now the private operators are doing in favour of BSNL in 2G GPRS matter since BSNL is the cheapest in 2G GPRS as for now. So the subscribers who use 2G data only will be forced to port in to BSNL.
Note :
Please do check whether the data pack (2G or 3G) that you are availing is valid on 01st Jan, 14th Feb, 03rd Nov (Deepaavali), 25th Dec and 31st Dec. If not, your number’s main balance will get deducted.
None of the operators in Tamilnadu are charging more for voice calls (except BSNL) during the blackout days as for now.

Yaa bsnl always ossum for gprs services i compared speeds of bsnl vodafone tata docomo nd idea this was d results for 10mb file all in 3g networ ks with 2g packs

It was Docomo which actually rocked the 2G data market with plans like 2GB for Rs.48 and 6GB for Rs.95 at a time when others were charging Rs.300/month but that was unlimited without any FUP. They actually made cheaper Internet a habit for mobile users and also those who tether. Now whether Docomo gives 1GB for Rs.95 or Rs.150, they won’t get users anymore. There are so many problems from lesser network coverage to auto-disconnection which occurs every 40 minutes and there are many other reasons which we see in replies by the users that is either making or will make people avoid Docomo services.
But the only positive I have seen with Docomo from last 4-5 months is their 2G data speed which got better and better. But connecting every 40 mins is too annoying.
The packs mentioned above are same in all circles as I checked it on their website. Those who have either Videocon or Uninor available in their circle cam move to them as they still offering it cheap.
An Advice: Those who still want to go for 1GB for 95 should consider recharging with Rs.99 pack as it provides 1GB data and voice call Local+STD to any network @1.2p/s. So you will get voice benefit also.

I use virgin gsm in kolkata, 4gb fr rs 96. U r right docomo 2g speed improving, evn in rowb. Bt that 40 min refreshing sux.

I leave TD before 8 months. I am fully satisfied with reliance gsm. no speed issue (20 to 30 kbps download speed 2G), no disconnection problem, cost effective (200mb per day for 30 days with Rs. 90 only). total happy.

Bhar me jaey Tata Docomo. Service nehi par dam barana jaruri ho gaya hai. At a glance they silently hiked the price from august 2012,but service? Totally thirdclass.

Docomo has not hiked Data tariff for its CDMA and postpaid customers. CDMA customers still get 4.5GB and Postpaid customers get 6GB for Rs 95 and Rs 99.
Also Docomo brands, Virgin and T24 offer 4Gb and 6GB on Rs 95.
Docomo is targeting massive hike towards prepaid GSM users. I think they are trying to move 2G users to 3G or trying to make for 3G spectrum from 2G services.

Cdma plans r not changed, ‘coz very few peopel using it. I these days using virgin gsm in Kolkata. Speed is quite good here, on laptop also.

In Gujarat,Tata Docomo Launched new offer, In Recharge of STV250 we get 250 main balance with 0 days validity and also for 1 GB 3g GPRS + unlimited 2GB GPRS DATA, but main problem is Auto Disconnect in every 40 minute even in morning also..so we can’t use continuous and after disconnect to reconnect be able after 5 to 6 try constant…And second problem is we can use GPRS only on own TATA DOCOMO network not work on ICRA network.
May be this offer available in your state please check before recharge..

a new t&c also has been added, “Using your Device as a modem for a personal computer or other piece of electronic equipment (tethering) is not permitted.”

dont know what they r thinking. but the most funny thing is I have taken TD on July 2012,on that time I was getting 2.5gb @ 69, On August it was 2gb @69, On September it was 1.5gb @ 69, On November it was 1gb @69, And now on January 2013 it is 1gb @ 98. Lol
now happy with airtel…may be costly but no continuous disconnection or downlink error:)

It’s a bad move for Docomo , they don’t have best coverge, if they give up best tarrif people will go for vodafone airtel and idea, if the tarrifs are same then better care for service quality and coverage., Docomo is giving up their plus points…
