facing this problem since 2 – 3 months.. and when i complaint them about this problem.. they said this was a temporary problem and now it has been solved… but it was no… i’m still having the same problem.. it gets disconnected after some time.. and there is also more pain in reconnecting. Have to try 8-9 times sometimes 15 times to connect to internet…. also they unnecessarily activates services and deducts our balance…

I face the same problems with my docomo connection in both Hyderabad and in Chhattisgarh. And I don’t think they care enough to do anything. It’s so disgusting to have to try reconnecting in the middle of doing something!

In chennai, docomo 2g speed has increased from last month.Better speed than airtel & vodafone.Better to go with paper recharge 750MB@Rs20 with 7days validity. So with Rs80 you get 3GB for 28days.Aircel is also good & provides 3GB@98 for 30 days.So not much difference. But I observed aircel 2g which is automatically activated after finishing quota of 3G is much more faster than normal 2g packs!!!

Docomo network is pathetic.. As even being of full range calls get distorted or even gets cut saying as network error. 2G GPRS speed also very slow in our area. And also until yet no Docomo 3G coverage for mine town. But on other hand BSNL , IDEA & Vodafone has 3G coverage for mine town.

WORST coverage, worst service, unnecessary vas activation i experienced on day one itself. I Did many failed attempts to use gprs. I Was helpless and counted remaining 89 days. Later i ported to BSNL.now i am very happy with BSNL. friends.:) dont entertain docomo and kick it out from all circles. I am from andhra pradesh circle.

Actually plan of the operators is to gradually make 2G plans at par with 3G plans so that more and more number of customers can switch over to 3G network with superior speeds saving lot of precious time. I myself is personally using TATA DOCOMO’s 3G network (as postpaid GSM connection with 3G datacard). I have tried 3G in my area of Idea, BSNL and Vodafone before switching over to Tata DOCOMO. All have pathetic services and it becomes impossible to surf in daytime. However TATA DOCOMO provides almost 1-1.5 Mbps during daytime (given bandwidth remaining in use for Voice Calls) and 3.6 Mbps other time (off peak hours). What one wants other than this in the same price as offered by other service providers without any quality service. I am using in Maharashtra Telecom Circle, don’t know about TD services in other circles so can’t comment. However, I would appeal to all esteemed readers of TELECOM TALK.INFO that at least in Maharashtra Circle one should at least use the 3G services once before going to other operators. Believe in DOCOMO’s International Credibility in the field of 3G network.

Tata Docomo has now understand that how difficult it is to survive with cheap rates and lower ARPUs. Aircel’s formula of cheaper offering also flopped and at last it made them to scale down operation in various circles. They also learnt that people don’t come only by looking at cheap offering and network also matters a lot. People have already stopped using Docomo’s Internet because it is too much difficult to use it. After 10 in morning, it takes more than 7 tries to get connected and situation becomes worst as time passes and rarely one can connect in evening. Sometimes 50 tries aren’t enough. Automatic disconnection makes the situation worst. I posted my number from Docomo a year ago and happy with Vodafone. Though it provides lesser data but network is great in Haryana and circles I visit. Vodafone used to charge for data in roaming but once they stopped it, I can use data in roaming too with same pack. Tata and Aircel should understand that Telecom is not for them and AVI cartel continue to rule and those who need quality will never come to their network or other craps like Aircel or Uninor or Videocon which even lags pan India coverage.

BSNL kerala plans can only be activated from balance. In order to get Rs 89 balance we need to recharge for at least Rs 105. So its 1.25GB for Rs 105.

Full TT are festive offers. Its not available all time.

Also the speed is pathetic. I got download max speed 14KBPS when BSNL tower is just 10 meters from my home. Same with other BSNL towers in kottayam. When suing 2G plans on UMTS mode, we get good download speed, but browsing is still slow and 3G is only available in selected towns.

Docomo is on its way to join AVI(Airtel Voda Idea) league.

Within another 3 or 4 months all tariff of Docomo will be same with all these operator.
Now there is no point in taking a Docomo connection when tariff is same as AVI and coverage is worst in the country.

Docomo entered market with its 1p/sec and now its 1.2p/sec. It was 6GB for Rs 96 and now 1.5GB for Rs 98. Docomo is taking advantage of Uninor, Videocon and others which which left market at most circle.

Now only hope remains on companies like reliance and aircel which are running at loss. Reliance still offer 2.5GB for Rs 63 and 20Gb for Rs 248 for 3 months. Hope they don’t follow Docomo.

Aircel has already stopped GRPS service in kerala from 16/11/2012 as per their customer care. Also removed GPRS pack from their website for kerala circle.

To be frank, TD got a substantial subscribers (new and thru MNP) from middle and lower middle class people (not to mention BPL) mainly because of its affordability even sacrificing the the availability of network signals. IT seems they are closing up the giants ! Well few from Rs.98 category will definitely switch over to others having good voice/data connectivity.
