Actualy this plan was available during June to August. I utilized this roaming free plan for two months. But from this September onwards this plan is no more available. Docomo stopped this plan and cc says that they are working on a new plan and will come back soon.
Riswan September 13, 2012 at 8:49 pm

i recharged docomo cdma with Rs 47 but didnt get this offer..im from upwest….why???
manish jain May 15, 2012 at 10:09 am
According to me this is a hopeless plan as tata network is not available in most of the places.SO the user has to select idea or aircel and so he has to pay for incoming calls even after using this plan.My suggestion is increase the price of pack and give customer handsome free incoming min irrespective of any network
Rohan Singh May 14, 2012 at 7:06 pm
This offer isn’t on the list of online recharge on TATA Docomo..When this offer will be launched..?
Rao May 14, 2012 at 4:11 pm

This voucher is still not launched.i talked with cc today. I think it will launched in a week or two
Jay May 11, 2012 at 8:22 pm
I had posted the following points in a post under some other article few days back, but I felt it’ll be appropriate to post it here…
Why shouldn’t some telco bring in a plan wherein consumers can enjoy Home like charges while in roaming in particular circles of users choice(incl free incoming, Boosters being applicable even when in roaming).
Say, a user can recharge for some amount (say 15 Rs) and get “home rates in roaming” in 2 or 3 selected circles for a certain period (say 1 month). The user can select his/her preferred circle through SMS and enjoy home rates including Rate cutter benefits (if user has free loc SMS, then while in roaming user can enjoy free SMS to no.s in the roamed in circle).
DJ May 11, 2012 at 8:02 pm
sorry rs.98 pack for 4GB…..
DJ May 11, 2012 at 8:01 pm
@sukumar
no they have just confused you .see tata docomo website. new gprs pack rs.67 for 2.5gb and rs.98 pack for 8gb
sukumar May 11, 2012 at 6:33 pm
@Anoop
Also for tn.
Anoop May 11, 2012 at 11:21 am
Nowadays Docomo is silently increasing the call tariff/reducing the validity of juciup packs for all circles.
Kanaga Deepan N May 11, 2012 at 9:21 am
NO Spectrum available…
Sayan Chattopadhyay May 11, 2012 at 9:03 am
yesterday docomo revised its gprs packs of wb. Now only 1gb@rs.65 and 2gb@rs.98.
Abhijit May 10, 2012 at 7:51 pm
Agree with you… As India is an Democratic country and Constitution says Every Indian has right to go anywhere in India… So then why Roaming within India then??
Yogesh singhal May 10, 2012 at 6:47 pm
why they are not launching services in delhi????? any specific reason??
Rupesh May 10, 2012 at 4:57 pm
Bakwas………….. just another way to suck money from our pocket
cva May 10, 2012 at 4:40 pm
I have tried recharging this Rs46 but recharge failed. There is no option to recharge this amount from DOCOMO site
Dipankar May 10, 2012 at 2:57 pm
@Kaushik
I agree with you but network status about TATA DOCOMO…hahahaaaaaaaaaa
Guest May 10, 2012 at 11:52 am
@DJ
899 postpaid plan Unltd local + std calls & sms both in home & roaming is awesome plan.. But beneifieted for heavy users only !!
I can’t compare that plan with this free roaming plan anyway
Sathish May 10, 2012 at 11:32 am
@cva
Did you know?
900 MHz BTS is more efficient than 1800 MHz BTS.
A 900 MHz tower (BTS) can connect upto 1000 Mobile numbers at a time with coverage upto 25-30 Kms radius.
An 1800 MHz tower (BTS) can connect upto 500 Mobile numbers at a time with coverage upto 3-5 Kms radius.
Here we must note: currently “Roaming Free” only on home network.
BSNL Mobile GSM Network and TATA DoCoMo GSM network:
BSNL have owned 900 MHz -68,000 BTS across India except Mumbai and Delhi. . It was mostly in strategic located and far-flung areas.
For e.g:
DoCOMo in Tamil Nadu (except Chennai): 20% of BTS – Home network, 80% of BTS – ICR Aircel network.
TATA DoCoMo have very very minimum level 2,500 BTS (1800 MHz), 100% it is located only in Cities and towns only not rural / far-flug areas.
Here DoCoMo using ICR – Aircel’s 10,000 BTS (900 MHz Tower) by ICR in TN (except Chennai City)
Just calculate yourself, how many towers (BTS) are owned by TATA DoCoMo network across India.
Fastest growing network, Uninor have owned around 28,000 BTS (1800 MHz towers) across its operating circle.
So DoCoMO GSM has very less Home- BTS when compared with BSNL Mobile-BTS.
Roam free plan is most worthy only on old-GSM network, not new network.
Roam free plan is not applicable for ICR-network.
Guest May 10, 2012 at 10:41 am
@DJ
Its not that much attractive plan anyways ! In this plan also incoming is chargable after 2 months.. Then how could it be roam free plan??
I can tell you Aircel 3G offering very good plans .. My wish s to treat India whole as one Circle & remove roaming concept itself & allow Inter state MNP ! International roaming, operators can use for their sake.. If u think I’m greedy, then I’ve no concerns .. Also in 4G, I need 100 Rs/GB
dhashd May 10, 2012 at 10:23 am
wat is the use of affordable plans if we are not able to call and rceive call because of network busy and a poor customer care which gets connected once in a year?jagan ur problem is that you dont know other operators plan ok?@jagan
Jack May 10, 2012 at 10:18 am
Oh come on TRAI !! WTF is this , soon all will come up with such plans , but its only on roming on the same network ,, which may b rare for a few customers , they would end up paying 46 + normal roaming charges ,
MAKE ONE INDIA ONE CIRCLE !!! Wipe off the circle system !!
vijay May 10, 2012 at 9:36 am
None of the telecom policies were favours to the customers , they just doing favour for Govt and operators ! NTP 2012 will never be implemented , or otherwise they change some benefits and then will be implemented !
Losses will be levied on customers
Profits are enjoyed by operators ! Raise voice against tariff hike !
Prashoor Chitnis May 10, 2012 at 8:26 am
In general, this plan is a nice offering by TATA DOCOCMO for us.
But what in general it is for,
@Madanna says it gives promotional 60 days of free incoming, and validity is 180 days of plan. Rest of days have tariff for roaming incoming at 1.5 p/sec.
Why the rate rises to 1.5 p/sec from 1.2 p/sec?
If you truly are going somewhere for a period less than 2 months, its good for you.
Otherwise, Don’t try this plan unnecessarily. I personally recommend to give a miss call to person in roaming and let him call(As we are used to).
Also activate DND to avoid unnecessary calls in roaming.
No hard feeling guys, I like there facilities too,
but lets wait for TRAI to make incoming free for users.
Bon usage….
sukumar May 10, 2012 at 8:10 am
@DJ
But 35rc now not showing in their website
Udayan May 10, 2012 at 7:24 am
GSM network may be not so good..but CDMA network is almost at par with all the biggies in GSM…better go for Docomo CDMA(previously INDICOM) and enjoy..By the way,what is the launch date of this pack?
The sites are not showing anything….And the story has been written in a clogged manner…Pl simplify the whole story..
Supreme May 10, 2012 at 6:52 am
airtel is also have Rs.37 recharge with same benefit for haryana customers but their network is bad. it’s the no.1 operator of india but its network is worst than aircel.
kaka May 10, 2012 at 3:02 am
I Don’t understanding why the voucher is so costly, incoming on roaming should be free by default n i agree calls must be 1.5p/sec as operators r not able to earn money
Kaushik May 10, 2012 at 12:58 am
Tata Docomo, in this case, is providing better tariffs than BSNL.
cva May 10, 2012 at 12:05 am
BSNL just for name sake they will announce the plans but there is no proper recharge options are available. many of my friends suffering with Rs.150 roaming recharge.
cva May 10, 2012 at 12:03 am
Its excellent plan good to have such innovative plan. BSNL will announce plans but there is no proper guidance or proper recharge options are available. Thanks to TATA DOCOMO.
Arka May 9, 2012 at 11:23 pm
But,what about NTP 2012 ? when it will be lunched?
jagan May 9, 2012 at 11:21 pm
BSNL IS SUPER ! The only best operator with affordable plans ! “BE INDIAN BUY INDIAN” ! Let’s support BSNL !
DJ May 9, 2012 at 11:19 pm
@Abhijith
There is no 1 paise/1 second plan right now not even in your favourite airtel…Also in airtel , during roaming incoming and outgoing calls are rs.1 per minute (not in seconds). The most important thing is in tatadocomo STV35 gives (T2T – 1P/6SEC, LOCAL, LANDLINE – 1P/2SEC, VALIDITY 90 DAYS) RATHER THAN IN AIRTEL RC97 (A2A – 10P/MIN, LOCAL- 60P/ MIN, LANDLINE – 90P/MIN). so that i can call my friends in roaming area cheaply if they just give a missed call…Can a airtel subscriber do?
Kanaga Deepan N May 9, 2012 at 11:07 pm
The idea is, “TRAI is anyway going to launch all India roaming FREE sooner or LATER… Before that Tata wants to cover the frequent roaming users (mostly heavy users) from other operators to their network… Else they can’t get those heavy usage customers once all-India roaming FREE was launched by all old operators at that time…”
@Mandanna
The promotional offer as per table is “Roaming Incoming FREE for 60 days ONLY and later at 1.5p/sec” and according to the topic’s second paragraph “For 60 days the call charges are 1.2p/sec and then 1.5p/sec”… Which one is TRUE????
Kirti Raj Chahar May 9, 2012 at 10:50 pm
True Free incoming while roaming plan is only by BSNL (STV 150 Rs for 90 Days)
Abhijith May 9, 2012 at 10:45 pm
Wow so we automatically plan ill change from 1p to 1.2p and roaming 1.5p . . What a innovative tariff hike ! Tata sons business doing well . . .
Anoop May 9, 2012 at 10:42 pm
The prepay plan detail for TN circle is not displaying for the past 2 weeks in docomo site. it says ‘This offer is currently not available for this location. Please keep watching this space for further updates’. They removed all plan details. This happens after I highlighted some mistakes on plans. The link is tatadocomo.com/prepay-packs.aspx.
bharathkumara May 9, 2012 at 9:41 pm
tatadocomo gsm, still need to cover network, in rurals, just urban have network, no coverage in rural.. if u gone to rurals, u cant get network, still wait for 3-5 years, i always travels all over india.. today.. but.. no change with docomo..
Sudhakar May 9, 2012 at 9:09 pm
Sukumar :
The incoming free benefit itself is only for 60 days. Read properly. Incoming free is a promotional benefit.
Ashish Rana May 9, 2012 at 9:02 pm
Airtel offering roaming Incoming/Outgoing 1.2p/s @Rs 19 for 180 days…..
Ankur May 9, 2012 at 8:44 pm
airtel haryana already launched roaming free plan with 19rs recharge in haryana..
Xyz May 9, 2012 at 8:25 pm
But what’s the point if you get other network more often than the mediocre Tata Docomo GSM network. In Mumbai, you can’t even get a decent network. When the network itself is so pathetic, what’s the point of incoming free on roaming and per second nonsense innovation.
sukumar May 9, 2012 at 8:02 pm
gud, but y not introduce low validity plans like 30dys, 60days, 90dys.
Sreekanth. Jayadevan May 9, 2012 at 7:59 pm
Nice plan. Thumbs up for TATA DOCOMO… They have fairly good ntwrk with very good tariffs.
Chirag May 9, 2012 at 7:34 pm
Yea… True!
prasad May 9, 2012 at 7:32 pm
TATA DOCOMO is best network in India. Good offers and good plans Good roaming plans compare to other networks,All indian mobile users move to TATADOCOMO.
DJ May 9, 2012 at 7:32 pm
@Guest
people like you always dont get satisfied whatever the plans are. Free Roaming plans are just in the budding stage with the plans only from bsnl and tata docomo…
Saurabh Gupta May 9, 2012 at 7:31 pm
what about delhi circle i have to visit delhi only and there tata docomo GSM is not present
Guest May 9, 2012 at 7:23 pm
Validity should be extended according to BASE PLAN & they can charge one time Enrolment Fee .. Then its a good plan !
Asif samadhan May 9, 2012 at 6:52 pm
Very good plan
Pratik Jain May 9, 2012 at 6:44 pm
But wasn’t TRAI thinking about making Roaming free as a whole? Why these special plan vouchers?
