Tata Docomo is 2nd mobile service provider in India to offer Unlimited WhatsApp Packs, In  October last year Reliance Communication launched “WhatsApp Plan” with Unlimited data usage at Rs.16 for its GSM prepaid customers first time in India.

These data packs will enable Tata Docomo prepaid GSM customers to enjoy the hugely popular WhatsApp with specially customize Data plans and with unlimited use without any data charges.

Tata Docomo prepaid Customers simply have to dial *123# from their Tata Docomo mobile to subscribe to these packs. The WhatsApp packs offer FREE Unlimited use with a Bi – Monthly pack priced at Rs. 15 valid for 15 days and a Monthly Pack priced at Rs. 30 valid for 30 days

Tata Docomo conducted an independent research to get a pulse of what are the customer data usage needs and trends. And what came out as a strikingly revelation was, that Tata Docomo prepaid users need customized data offerings and pay only for the apps and chat applications that is consumed. As recent as last week Tata Docomo also launched Social Networking Combo packs.

Both these initiatives were the direct outcome of research findings that indicated that prepaid customers are very price sensitive and therefore they would like to pay for what they use.
