    I have purchased a Tata Docomo 3G data card for use in wireless router for my pc-tab. it is not working at all, though it is showing connectivity, inspite of changing all the settings and APN. the dealer isnot able to confirm whyit is happening. I simply wasted my money on this.

    Hello All,

    @Jitendra
    I am also getting Reliance 3G signals on my phone from past 1 week but not able to latch to the network on my Reliance GSM card. i guess still they are in testing phase..I think they should involve consumers like us also while testing their services.

  • Jitendra November 13, 2010 2:36 am

    @Keshav Jha
    Good u noticed the terms and conditions…. Unbelievable for such high price
    T&c
    Local means call to any Tata DOCOMO number within Home Circle.
    National means call to any Tata DOCOMO Circle within India.
    Free minutes in roaming applicable only for outgoing usage while roaming on Tata Docomo network. Charges for incoming minutes apply

  • TD November 13, 2010 12:22 am

    Data card makes…. And model number …. Anyone knows?

  • Keshav Jha November 12, 2010 11:58 pm

    Has any one noticed that the free minutes offered by Docomo in it’s 3G plans are only for calls to Docomo? Even not for Tata Indicom. You will have to pay for Offnet calls in home circle and for incoming too in roaming.

  • Keshav Jha November 12, 2010 11:50 pm

    Prices of data cards are very good specially 21 mbps modem. No doubt in this, but modem of rs 1999 should also come up with voice call support. Idea Net Setter of rs 1600 is coming with voice call support.

    Hope all these USB data card cum mobile phones have front camera to make video call – the most exiting feature of 3g. Presently we are getting comparable data speed on EVDO operators (BSNL, TATA, MTS & Reliance) at comparable rates. So data on 3g is not much exiting at present. However future will make data on 3G also attractive (when plans like BSNL’s unlimited @ Rs. 700 come from private operators).

  • sri November 12, 2010 6:33 pm

    Santu Sovan Mandal :
    Price of HSDPA seems to be more(as vodafone 3g datacard is available @1600/-) but hspa+ seems to be justified.

    @Santu Sovan Mandal
    21.6 Mbps card also priced well and cheaper than international market.

    Data card rates is good but surely its locked one

  • Amit.g November 12, 2010 6:05 pm

    So finally data cards with 21mbps speed came to indian market. price is also reasonable. Airtel whic has priced its fucking 3.6mbps crap for 3800RS should learn from docomo which gives 21mbps modem @3500rs. but docomo should have reduced ter data plans

  • sri November 12, 2010 5:44 pm

    Datacards price seems to be reasonable. I think they are network locked to TDC but not sure and it would be nice if they have given us the make and the model too.
