they said that the recharge mode was wrong the retailer has to recharge by special mode
i told them that the special mode didn’t accept the amount which was entered & then retailer contacted CC & they said that recharge by normal mode

i only know that in delhi while roaming we have to select AIRCEL network & now we get the per sec benefit in delhi circle also
but earlier they were charging 1p/sec
now 1.5p/sec
which is a costly
as BSNL has a simple plan all calls @ 49p/min
which is a good plan for roaming

i called CC they only inform me that as they don’t have tata docomo license in delhi circle so tata indicom has applied for the name change from tata indicom to tata docomo
as this process requies a process aproval from the suitable body
once it gets the approval then the name will be changed
and for rest of all circle tata indicom is merged with tata docomo as they were having dual license so now the costing will be less & the customer will get the benefit of less call rate.

He asked about GSM services and Tata Indicom is CDMA. Btw Tata Indicom has been re-named to Tata Docomo CDMA except Delhi after Tata Group integrated all products and services under one brand “TATA DOCOMO”. In Delhi Tata Docomo GSM is not available and that’s why the brand is still Tata Indicom and not Tata Docomo CDMA like other circles.

Tata Docomo is yet to receive starting spectrum of 4.4MHz to kick-off GSM operations in Delhi circle. I don’t think it to be happen anytime soon. There are some legal and technical issues which needs to be resolved first. But once they receive, it will take them 4-6 moths to complete roll-out.

Here are some points I learnt while reading terms n conditions:
1. This is totally a transparent contest and there is no entry fee for it. I first thought no one can come up with a contest that is free from any condition. But this is exceptional.
2. Only 8 bikes and 1 car is up for grab everyday i.e 8 subscribers out of total valid entries will get bike and 1 will get car. Total Bikes- 224 and Total cars- 28 till Dec 25.
Winners list with ticket numbers for 28 and 29 November is available on
tatadocomo.com/jkg.aspx
3. Talktime can be won in these 8 draws only till 5PM everyday. A total talktime of Rs.1 crore to be given till Dec 25. 1000 random draws will be conducted every hour which means 8000 customers will win free talktime everyday.
All in all, everyday-
1. 8000 Tata Docomo (GSM+CDMA) mobile customers can get talktime. It is also written that Tata can increase this limit depending on the participants.

I won Rs.50 in 2PM-3PM hour. Will get credited within next 24 hrs. Don’t know whether main or promo balance. Here for Haryana circle, they are advertising get Rs.160 in Rs.148 recharge not Rs.150. Today I recharged my number with Rs.150 and got Rs.165 even after entering the contest. I hope recharging will better the chance of winning.
There is one another company which runs the same contest-Reliance GSM. But instead of giving talktime to customers, they deduct balance from customer’s account everyday and enjoy it themselves.

Better if you had recharged online without subscribing to this Jeet ki Ganti, you would have got 165 Talktime instead of 160. i.e. you got Rs. 5 less.

I’ve clarified with docomo…they say no recharge of any kind it required to participate in the contest…the msg we’re all getting is a promotional msg…i was confused too but i clarified with them on twitter..i won Rs. 10 today!!

So there is catch in this contest.. You get less talktime on recharge of Rs. 150 i.e. 160 instead of 165 (online).

I live near Chandigarh Airport (Sector 29). docomo’s network is very weak and sometime I do get a message saying “Welcome to Haryana…”

Its is true that Docomo coverage in rural areas is not upto mark but in cities their network is much stronger. In our area too, the indoor coverage is just awesome at -77 to -79dBm (Vodafone has the strongest at -71dBm). Signal never fluctuates even though distance between my location and Docomo tower is 1.3-1.5 Kms. Internet speed is also good but using Reliance these days as they have almost 1.5 times speed as compared with Docomo here.

in pallavpuram it may be as i dont visit there frequently but you can contact tata docomo through email i have also faced such problem 1yr back when i have to go to budhana gate and proper coverage was not there underground they sortedout my issue within 7 days…..

bhai ,i am too using docomo since its launch….but the problem i am facing with docomo is that they lack proper indoor coverage in my area(pallavpuram).in rural areas they have limited coverage.but i still using it because of better tarrif plan,transparency in billing,supportive customer care.

bhai docomo has good network in the city where do you get bad network in meerut except university i havenot find any place where its networks vanish there even airtel or bsnl dont work and in nearby rural areas also it works satisfactory are you using docomo i am using docomo since its launch

TATA DOCOMO has improved their network drastically after MNP
i am very very happy with their sevice, i have been using it for 3 years
they have affordable call rates , sms packs GPRS pack(Rs. 39) stable network
cyes they have scope for improvement but overall they have a good package to offer
