Tata Docomo, the joint venture between Tata Teleservices (TTSL) and Japan’s leading mobile operator NTT Docomo, has launched its GSM mobile service in West Bengal telecom circle. However there is still no official word from the company, though they have already listed the tariff plan details and customer care numbers on their official site under the circle or service area name West Bengal or Rest of Bengal.
There are 8 existing telecom operators in West Bengal (Ro Bengal) they are BSNL, Reliance (GSM and CDMA), Airtel, Tata Indicom (CDMA), Idea Cellular, Aircel, Vodafone and MTS India (CDMA).
Tata Docomo life time prepaid card will cost Rs.49 and it is available across the West Bengal circle from today.The Prepaid plan details and tariff structures are the same as in other circles. It has announced a novel “PAY-FOR-WHAT-YOU-USE” model for subscribers in West Bengal telecom circles, with a pulse of one second, and a pricing of just 1 paisa per second with the initial launch.
The company’s pan-India service rollout, which was kicked off in late June, will be completed this year itself after commercial launch in 4 remaining circles. According the earlier announcement by TTSL Rest of the circles to be covered by this month are Rajasthan, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

Tata Docomo in Kolkata circle especially in purba midnapour is very poor. In most of the places there have no indoor coverage. I didn’t get any signal in ground floor. Several times pls: improv ASAP.

Several times I complained to CcEs and Nodal Desk. But nothing improved since last 2 years. Even in many places it makes intra roaming thats why outgoing call charges 1 rupee and sms 3.45 rupee respectively. TATAs are cheater. They don’t keeps their words at all. This is my personal experience with tata docomo. All other operators are improving day by day but tata docomo is decreasing. It is expected as the brand is ‘TATA’.

I just want to drop sms to people who love docomo, take docomo they will provide good service as new things take time to establish. As change is good. do the new, who are desatisfied with docomo they should have known the brand add line CHANGE. Until you change cant feel the difference.

Sahi batt yaar Tataka ekdom faltu network hai, mujhe lagta hai elok hame anda bananeke liye aya hai,I have taken sim 2 weeks before form retailer.They are giving SIM at RS-15 and giving 44 talktime.But I got no signal at my home,even at window side.

2ndly at present I am not using Docomo,ya I have it’s sim.If you are not believe my word come to Barasat and see the condition of it.Otherwise call CC and ask the condition??.Docomo don’t have proper tower here.They are setting tower according to their network dept.They need 2 month.Docomo don’t have good offers,Aircel in my area have very good tower and good offers.So I am using it.Even Reliance have very good service in my area.New operator Idea have very good tower here.But Idea don’t have tower at Birati,Dumdum like places.Aircel and RGSM have now overall good coverage and cheap rates. Tata Docomo is pushing customers to take their SIM.They are selling SIM at Rs/-20 and giving 44 talk time.

Though initially at the launch time,services will be available in Kharagpur,Hooghly,Nadia and Medinipur.

Tata DoCoMo and ItzCash Card have entered into an agreement to facilitate mobile bill payments of the consumers. Tata DoCoMo users can now pay their mobile bills via SMS using an ItzCash card.
To make their mobile payment, Tata DoCoMo customers have to SMS the keyword PAYBILL, the amount, ItzCash account number and password and send it to 121.
ItzCash Card is available in denominations ranging from Rs. 100 to Rs. 10,000 and is available in ItzCash franchisees. Consumers can also place an order for the card online.
According to the company, there are no hidden costs. Consumers can utilize the full value of the card, without the fear of charge-backs and reversals. All transactions are confirmed in real-time.

this docomo stupid people… no other operator (except docomo’s brother aircel)offering per sec billing has any cap on 1p/sec tariff. why does these docomo idiots have cap of 450mins/month? don’t they want more business or not by making customers talk more? stupid people.
450mins/month is less than 1% of possible human life (24hrs*30 days) and they say calls/usage beyond this a commercial misuse! unbelievable. the marketing team need to visit business school again to learn the basics of management and business.
