BSNL Launches High Speed WiMAX Broadband Service in Assam

India’s National telecom backbone and state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) launches WiMAX the 4th Generation Wireless Broadband Service in the north eastern state of Assam with speed up to 7 Mbps to empowered the rural parts of North Eastern India with High Speed Super Fast Internet. BSNL MOBILE TO OFFER “FREE ROAMING” IN NORTH EAST & ASSAM

In an attempt to provide greater benefits to mobile users of North East telecom circle, state operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has introduced local tariff and FREE Roaming for  the entire North East including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland and Mizoram for its pre paid and post paid mobile subscribers from 1st September, 2009.
