T24 is the worst ever service I received, at least in the case of UP East circle. They promised special tariffs but nothing in effect. I lost my money. I tried to contact the customer care and they never answer. I change to other service provider.

    @abhi,

No, T24 is not Tata Indicom. T24 provides GSM services only using Tata Docomo’s GSM network. Indicom is a CDMA service and now it is called Tata Docomo CDMA and not Tata Indicom.

T24 operates as an MVNO and is a part of Future Group. Future group has tie-up with Tata Docomo for network leasing. They are selling SIM cards under their brand name T24 or Talk24 but using Tata’s network. You can get T24 SIM cards at Big Bazaar in either Ambala or wherever it is present. They don’t sell SIM cards at retail outlets. Also to get T24 numbers recharged, you have to visit Docomo retailer or you can also do it online. :)

Big Bazaar ja aur le aa SIM :D

      SIM ke liye Big Bazaar?

I feel more comfortable dealing with friendly retailers who are not at all rigid in the verification stuffs. Ofcourse, you mustn’t trust the roadside SIM sellers who misplace your documents for most of the time.

Look at this condition on base tariff :

“Above base tariff will be applicable on New Activations only. It will be valid for 1 year from the date of activation after which 2 paise/ second will be applicable”.

    Waste.

    In Tamilnadu :
Better get IDEA and recharge with Rs.27 and make all local mobile (not landline) calls at Rs.0.25 per min from the first minute without any FUP (no conditions).

Or get BSNL and recharge with Rs.132 (90 days validity) and make all local calls (including landlines) at Rs.0.01 for 2 seconds. I agree that customer care is worst. But if they have mentioned info about any booster pack in the website, you can recharge (or activate by SMS). It will work. No need to call customer care.

The mentioned rate cutter denominations in private operators will only change always. But now a days BSNL wensite is updated with every changes instantly.

Yes, I agree. These olden stars still have a charm. Days are back when people still like to use services of well established operators like Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL. For something new, Telenor has only charm left for us. Tata Docomo has become completely hopeless.

      • S.Sudhakar May 5, 2013 9:11 am

idea is acting against the consumers. I have 5 fancy numbers in idea Tamilnadu and I use them exactly once a month to make an outgoing call to stay active. But 2 of my numbers were barred temporarily because of non usage. This did not happen to my other operators’ SIM.

My parents are staying in gulf country and I am applying for gulf jobs. airtel (with Rs.600 number locker service for 2 years), idea (no rental for international roaming), and docomo (Rs.99 per month for international roaming) only provide international roaming in prepaid. Aircel provides international roaming but the website states that it is not available in the country where my parents are there. Keeping the above reasons in mind I was sticking to airtel till July 2012 and after that I changed to many operators. Most of them are waste.

        • SS May 5, 2013 11:50 am

Dude you may try Vodafone prepaid (postpaid too as you wish) as it also offers preactivated IR. My friends ve used that successfully. Monthly rental ?99

You can notice this by going to vodafone sevices(SIM toolkit)—international roaming—international

          Minimum ?150 is required.

Some pages on Vodafone website show wrong info that you need to pay ?5000 as SD. So don’t bother for that.

You can also use matrix but they ve long record of cheating customers so beware

          • S.Sudhakar May 6, 2013 9:57 am

I am trying to move to aircel. Lets see. What idea does in the mean time.

  • umesh May 4, 2013 7:23 am

in my maharashtra docomo sim local calls at 1.2/sec and 2p/sec for std (even for local landline also :-( )

wat is the validity of the talktime if we recharge 251 in t24 sim.i also got t24 sim while shopping in ulhasnagar big bazaar

  • S.Sudhakar May 3, 2013 11:40 pm

    Note :
This is the trick made by the operators to gain customers. In Tamilnadu docomo pretended to launch Rs.0.01 / sec call rate plan and the rate now is Rs.0.015 per second for mobiles and Rs.0.02 per sec for landlines !!!.

Beware. Keep in mind that you have to pay more for this operator in the future. Or else if this (T24) operator increases the tariffs, you will say that it is unfair.

  • AkashDey May 3, 2013 10:52 pm

T24 connection is exclusively available from BIG BAZAR. I have one, they offered me without any documents. Just took my name and alternate contact number.

  • Ts May 3, 2013 7:21 pm

T24 Sim cards only available on any big bazaar shopping in tamilnadu. But outside no distributor, no retailer etc. The above leads to customers having t24 not more than zero percentage in tamilnadu total population. Worst.

  • SS May 3, 2013 5:23 pm

Oh searched the SIM cards of T24 all over the city seeing signboards. Unfortuantely, I cound find Virgin Mobile but not T24. Well, only data pack is what seems good.

“STV Rs. 249 – Value Pack of 600 local /STD minutes. Pack validity 30 days”- BSNL Rs135- 400mins

“STV Rs. 41 – STD Pack with call rate of 40p/min”- airtel Rs 12- std 40p, validity 3 weeks (Rajasthan Circle)
