Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is much better than this in only 9-9.5K.

    • Rama March 6, 2014 2:58 pm

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 comes with the age old Adreno 200 GPU which by no means can deliver a smooth performance especially considering Samsung’s touchwiz.Sony Xperia E1 on the other hand comes with adreno 302 GPU and a stock Android experience.Apart from that Sony has qualcomm chipset which is definitely better in quality than the broadcomm chipset on Samsung Galaxy S duos 2.

Sure this is better than Samsung S duos 7562. Slowly this Rs 10000 segment is hotting up with phones from Lenovo, panasonic, xolo, Nokia and now sony.

Galaxy Core Duos is much better at 1K extra…!

The sony xperia E1 is more or less similar to the Nokia X in terms of hardware.Bot the devices come with 512 mb of ram, dual core processors and adreno 302 GPU.The duo also support dual sims too.The one place where Sony E1 and the nokia X differ is the software.Nokia X comes with a forked version of Android which does not have access to play store and other google apps and is heavily modified(which might result in some lag). The E1 on the other hand is going to have a more or less stock android version and will have access to play store as well as google apps.On the overall Sony E1 looks like a better option than Nokia X.Although there is a price gap of 3k between both the phones, the sony xperia E1 seems a better option because of the software.
Apart from all that one thing is clear if branded manufacturers bring devices like these local manufacturers are going to face a tough time.I know the specs are not mind blowing but given the stock android of e1 I think basic stuffs like scrolling through contacts, pulling down the notification bar and some light weight apps and games can perform very well on the E1.In such a scenario there are gonna be people who would prefer the E1 and not phones from local companies because for many people in India they still want a phone for calling, whatsapping, facebooking etc and not for playing HD games. The sony E1 can handle all light weight tasks and comes with the brand image and after sales service of sony so why should someone choose a device from local manufacturer. The moto g is also a threat to local manufacturers but given its restriction to flipkart,it might be able to much damage. But sony E1 has the potential to disrupt the market. The tough times for local manufacturers are only gonna increase with time as components such as soc keep becoming better and cheaper with time.

What is the source of article ? any listing on some site or on Sony India site….atleast that should have been mentioned on site rather than just quoting the price.

    • Rama March 5, 2014 6:47 pm

What do you mean by source. The device is listed on almost every popular tech website, you can check out the full specs on GSM arena

friends purchase Moto g this phone is best in each and every thing even companies like samsung, nokia and not compare with this phone but you all may be worried about its camera features but let me tell you one thing this is great too.

    • Rama March 5, 2014 5:29 pm

Companies like Nokia and Samsung are better than moto g in one department and that’s after sales service.Apart from that Samsung and Nokia have better distribution network than motorola’s moto g which is exclusively available on flipkart. But yeah even I agree that as a standalone device moto g has been the best mid-range device till date.
