Samsung today announced two tablets at CTIA 2011. Galaxy Tab 8.9 and a new thinner Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Both tablets run Android 3.0 Honeycomb with TouchWiz 4.0 user interface.
Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 are the thinnest mobile tablets available as of now both the Tab 10.1 and Tab 8.9 are thinner and lighter than the iPad.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighs 595 grams and 8.9 weighs 470 grams, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 measures 230.9 x 157.8 x 8.6mm & new Galaxy Tab 10.1 now measures 256.6 x 172.9 x 8.6 mm.
The battery on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is 6800mAh and on Galaxy Tab 8.9 is 6000mAh.Both are said to provide 10 hours of video playback.Both tablets feature 1GHz dual-core CPUs and Flash Player 10.2 and Quickoffice HD editor come preinstalled.
Both tablets have microSD slots, 3.5mm headphone jacks, and SIM slots,although there will be WiFi versions of both of them. The two tablets have the same array of cameras, which includes a 3 megapixel shooter with an LED flash on the back and a 2 megapixel lens on the front.
The 16GB version of Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi will cost $499 and the 32GB $599. And the 8.9 is $469 (16GB version) or $569 (32GB). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available on 8 June

Dear, why Nokia launched 12MP Camera Phone.
Why many phone are coming with 8MP camera.
It is because of demand by people.
If you have a good camera in your phone, than there is no need to waste your money.

though m not using a tablet bt i think evn 2mp camera is sufficient 4 it as d camera would b usd mainly 4 video calls,maybe u belong 2 those category of people who want 2 replace digicam wid 5mp or higher camera in a tablet

The new Samsung Tablet has excellent features with big screen, huge memory with touchscreen but its cost is not applicable.

Camera and price may be two weak points.
The most attractive features are its battery, touch wiz 4.0 and Android 3.0
overall it seems good tablet.

Samsung is the first who started social network application on their device and samsung was also the first manufacturer among all main brads who lauched dual sim phone and samsung also the first player who launched Tablet after IPAD.
