    should i buy galaxy pop?

  • RDB May 12, 2011 9:32 pm

    @akshay
    G5 is powered with Android 2.1 – this is out dated! so go for pop or fit. Fit is better one and slightly costly.

  • akshay May 12, 2011 8:34 pm

    Guys… I am not gonna purchase any mobile of Samsung in future. They are very clever. First they did fake advertising by other people that Galaxy 3 is upgradable to Android 2.2 but now they are discarding it. I got following reply from them:
    “Samsung mobile model GT-I5801 (GALAXY 3) is coming with v2.1 and it cannot be upgradable to any other
    higher version of ANDROID like V2.2 or V2.3.”

    What a bull-s**t. Wastage of 12K Ruppees.

  • Gaurav February 20, 2011 11:07 am

    Any update on when these devices are getting updated to Android 2.2?
    I am planning to but one of these only if they are upgradeable to 2.2

    Is it Advisable to buy a Samsung Galaxy 3 if i am a hard core Android lover ?
    Does the phones hardware do justice with the software potentials ?

  • Bangalorean November 9, 2010 6:20 pm

    Have Galaxy 5.. it’s amazing phone with low price compared to my other crap Window Mobile phone… battery is an issue only because we spend lot of time on this phone because of tempting apps available in Android Market.. One thing is not mentioned in this article, that Galaxy 5 does have Accelerometer and that make Google SkyMap, Compass and Games a fun experience.. To keep battery drainage in check, one has to disable 3G if using only 2G network, keep Wifi and Bluetooth off if not in use.. If you can manage settings well.. then you won’t regret having this phone..

  • Rudradeep Biswas November 2, 2010 4:47 pm

    @Mehul
    Root your android phone and can install apps on SD card !

  • Mehul November 2, 2010 9:39 am

    I have had my hands on Galaxy 3 and the phone is pretty good. However, Android 2.1 lacks lot of basic features, oneo f the example being that it installs all applications on internal storage. On samsung 3, internal storage is 130 mb thuss limiting applications you can install to around 50-100. And I consider it the biggest drawback.

    Also, contrary to what is stated on the website, Samsung has not promised to come out with Android 2.2 update and thats why I give thumbs down to this cell as I am not happy with Android 2.1.

    Two things I found in galaxy 5 that should be improved
    #should have back light on keys below for beter use on night.
    #its batrey backup is drastic as comparitve with another smartphones.
    I dont why it gets restarts if usage inceased while using it,not only with mine I have seen with so many galaxy handsets.
    Overall I give 3.5 /5 as a user.Two things I found in galaxy 5 that should be improved

    Emad :
    abhi tak koi phone aisi paida nahi huee jo mujhe satisfy kar sakey

    I agree with you. I am yet to see a mobile phone in which I can choose what components/OS/Softwares are to to be installed as I do with my desktop PC.
    I actually want a big screen with QWERTY keypad (Touch screen not required), 3G/ HSDPA cat9, maximum speed up to 10.2 Mbps, Front camera for video call (No back camera, I actually don’t need the main camera and a mobile without it, will definitely be at lower price), Good multimedia hardware, Let me choose which OS I want (Android, Linux, Symbian 60 or any other), support for third party softwares. And above all good battery back up.
