    @Sagarkinkar
    It is almost 90% confirmed that Loop, cheers & videocon will not launch their services in maharastra & other parts of india where they have licence but not yet launched.loop has approached supreme court asking DOT to refund its 1651crores as it will not start mobile services, Videocon who once claimed that it will cover 100 cities in 100 days & get 100million customers in 3 years faced the real heat when it entered telecom & also lost maximum customers once MNP was launched, so it is also thinking to exit. Wrt to Cheers it launched only in circles where still competition is not intense like delhi & also in MUMBAI where one can attract customers, but in ROI they know that they will end up with loss.SPice doesn exist anymore as it sold its stake to IDEA cellular.

    Still govt has not cancelled any of the licences.

    @Amit.G
    you have mentioned that the ARPU is Rs24 and have not mentioned the reason for such poor perfomance which are 1. It is new operator with low network coverage 2.It is not pan INDIA operator.3.It has C category circles.Then on sale issue i will only say who will purchase the company with above negative points with telecom industry facing heat from 2g scam.NOT EVEN AN INSANE WILL BE INTERESTED IN STEL,even the most insane person will atleast acquire a pan INDIA OPERATOR which can be profitable atleast after a few years in market.

    @Abadan Mohapatra
    And you know what they main owner of Stel Who once upon a time owned aircel is commercial minded person just like B.K.MODI of spice telecom. Just sell the business once they find good value.

    nice plan……..

  • Abadan Mohapatra April 18, 2011 7:28 pm

    In Odisha, STel coverage n Voice quality is superb. And I really love the Zero Validity Full Talktime offers of STel.

    @AmitG. : STel has just 5 backward circles and that too they are offering ultra cheap Tariffs, STVs which is why is the result. They got to increase their tariffs a bit to make good profits along with staying in competition.

    Main to aaj hi baat kar raha tha ki telecomtalk pe HImachal ki news to aati hi nahin hai

    and here it is……………..wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Amit.G April 18, 2011 6:46 pm

    Stel is performing very poor in its circles, just ARPU of 24rs & quarterly revenue of 15crores is not sufficient to stay in business.
