Abhijit S December 28, 2009 at 1:02 pm
Same here mate with the SMS pack pf R-GSM now!
Shiva December 28, 2009 at 11:31 am
Ya CDMA operator can give cheap rates, MTS offer is best for the CDMA operator. But Reliance is best in network.
Sanjay Bafna December 28, 2009 at 11:27 am
With Reliance you will get same tariff in Home Circle and Roam circle,Reliance already offers 50p STD in Home and Roam and any one can lower their own Net callings by these recharges. With Reliance any one can opt Pay Per Second also with virgin NOT!
Reliance has both options GSM and CDMA while virgin just CDMA.
Sanjay Bafna December 28, 2009 at 11:22 am
YES it is applicable in Roaming also
Sanjay Bafna December 28, 2009 at 11:21 am
YES RC27 and RC77 tariff is applicable for Home and Roam
Sanjay Bafna December 28, 2009 at 11:20 am
Reliance Mobile allow same tariff of this STV in Home circle and Roam circle.
Agnivo December 28, 2009 at 10:04 am
@vinay
RGSM allows activating packs from your balance. Just use *777# USSD menu…
Yea, MTS tariffs in Mumbai is bit complicated than other circles…
@kaushik
I don’t think MTS withdrew any offer…
ANIRBAN December 28, 2009 at 9:35 am

@RDB
what do you mean by bakwas??
RDB December 28, 2009 at 8:23 am
well mts covering of whole WB is nt as per RCDMA, but mind it, it uses tata-quippo towers to penetrate ! nd kolkata n surroundings r well coverd by MTS !
*** and for all, MTS MCARD 95 offers loc 1p/2s tariff validity for LIFETIME !
dont spread rumors !
Emad December 28, 2009 at 7:20 am
just dail *777# and choose onnet local or onnet std pack
zeeshan December 28, 2009 at 12:26 am
Why I should not Prefer R-CDMA having super network in the place of MTS? Tell Me? @RDB
vinay December 28, 2009 at 12:10 am
further to above comment, in roaming u dont get stv of home circle. eg even airtel gallery had no clue abt stv n simply asked to contact their cc at home circle that was chargeable std call.
so too agonising to search stv.
vinay December 27, 2009 at 11:25 pm
stv not easily available in many cases. so customers hv to rush to various outlets if that stv is out of stock.
instead, can they devise a system so that the required amount eg 27 (in rgsm for 20ps/m for onnet calls) is straightaway deducted from the balance available with customers, on sending of sms. ultimately operators r concerned with getting the amount, whatever way it may b.
that vl b better instead of searching for stvs.
i think, mts has such a system where customers instead of buying stv can send sms with reduction of daily rental.
others also hv to implement it for our convenience.
vinay December 27, 2009 at 11:17 pm
which other operators r giving 30 ps/min or 1ps/2sec plans. like eg.
mtnl 1ps/2sec. only onnet calls but without any stv. (its a winner without stv)
virgin 30ps/sec ‘all calls’ but with 30rs rental.
rel 20ps/min only onnet with stv of 27/m.
mts 30ps/min all calls only first 6 months-mumbai (not sure abt others!)
which other operators r giving 30 ps/min or 1ps/2sec ?
in roaming, i think, docomo n rgsm r the best with 1ps/sec.
Siddhant December 27, 2009 at 10:35 pm
Relience ki jai ho, kisi bhi operator ka itni aukat nahi ki wo roaming mai bhi same tariff offer de sake, kisi ka bhi tariff reliance k takkar ka nahi hai., itna mast mast idea to idea walo k pas bhi nahi hai. Airtel kis liye no 1 hai pata nahi, uska tariff sab se jyada hai, and pura ghatia customer care, voda fone to airtel k piche piche chalta hai, koi bhi naya offer aya to 25 30 din me use copy kar leta hai, bsnl ka man nahi hai competition me participate karne ki, uninor k tariff samajhne k liye calculato chahiye, aircel chalega thik thak hai, docomo jaisa plan sabke pas hai ,mts tumne galti ki cdma operator banke, spice k modi sahab k tarah bahut log apne company k samne bord tangenge telecom company for sale.
kaushik December 27, 2009 at 10:16 pm
that means MTS withdrew its promo offer
ab toh yeh phir bekar hain

ANIRBAN December 27, 2009 at 2:05 pm

Yeah really MTS rates are awesome along with good network, cheap call rates, superb voice clarity.I am using MTS for last seven months.Go for MTS.
vinay December 27, 2009 at 1:05 pm
@Agnivo
true. mts rates r good – without any stv, however tariff is for first 6 months only then it vl b normal 1ps/sec.
Agnivo December 27, 2009 at 9:01 am
@vinay
You can go for open market handsets like MicroMax c2i etc.
Also, I’m a Virgin customer for about 2yrs… and seriously I’m thinking of moving to MTS. Virgin offers have been utter crap. Wish MNP were here and could have migrated to MTS. (I have a semi premium number from virgin, hard to give away!)
However, I bought a used haier indicom handset, unlocked it myself and gave it to my mom with a MTS connection. It is superb… good network, transparent billing and any local @ 1p/2sec, STD at 1/sec for lifetime… no admin fee on topups!
vinay December 26, 2009 at 11:05 pm
1) which r the best cdma basic phones with long battery backup at reasonable prices. i want to try out virgin for their 30ps/m to all network with rental of 30 rs.
2) is code for virgin n tata (like 9222 in mumbai) same in the same circle. v2v calls r at 15 ps/min. how to differentiate whether its a virgin no or tata no?
anur December 26, 2009 at 10:15 pm
can v use these 27 & 77 tarrif in roaming also
Gangadhar December 26, 2009 at 8:30 pm

AIRTEL has mercy over new operators
, BUT HAS NO MERCY ON ITS OWN CUSTOMERS…
I have seen many comments reg. old Airtel users or vodafone users (mainly postpaid, who cant change numbers easily) waiting for MNP, these BIG BAD boys will never allow MNP to come near us so easily… So the easiest way is to change to their PREPAID customers, as mostly their prepaid plans are much much better than postpaid counter-parts… That is what I have done to my Airtel postpaid number… At first they wont let you go easily, but you have to force them saying your postpaid plan has HIGH STD charges, HIGH ROAMING charges, HIGH RENT, comparing the prepaid plans, etc… Atleast you will have less rent, low STD, low SMS charges (through some pack) without changing your number…
Emad December 26, 2009 at 5:11 pm
virgin to virgin 15 paisa
other local 30 paisa
std 50 paisa @Rs.30 for 30 days not so good but better than reliance faltu 27 RC
Emad December 26, 2009 at 5:04 pm
amit December 26, 2009 at 3:05 pm
Bhai kab airtel voda …. karega? last 1 sal se to humko looth ne mai buzy hai. abhi reliance de raha hai to itna jelous mat ho.
vinay December 26, 2009 at 2:57 pm
virgin mobile offer is better then rel esp for local calls.
rel 27 stv for 20ps/m to all rel nos. (although u get even std at 20ps)
whereas virgin daily rental of re 1 ie 30rs/month & all local calls at 30ps/m n std at 50ps/m, irrespective of network. so all local calle hv good rate of 30 ps only.
Mahmood Junaid December 26, 2009 at 1:52 pm
reliance is really changing the indian telecom market… remember anil ambani’s words when he was launching rgsm… i feel airtel and vodafone are real copycats and doesn’t have their own way…
Abhijit S December 26, 2009 at 12:54 pm
It’s really good to see such nice offers/packs from Reliance and breaking the “roaming effect”. They are really the leader in giving offers now and a true satisfaction to their customers without making much pocket empty.
But, one thing we can’t over look is about R-GSM network. It’s really pathetic. R-CDMA is good. Hope, Reliance is listening this and also trying to improve their GSM network too.
I am also waiting for number portability to come.. as really fed up of using airtel now..
Tata Docomo & R-GSM : a best combination for a dual sim mobile!!
Emad December 26, 2009 at 12:03 pm

Emad December 25, 2009 at 8:23 pm
dont forget airtel offered 10 paisa per minute call long back with 29 STV these new operators not able to beat airtel it is airtels mercy on new ops.
jis din airtel samne pe a gaya to ye reliance weliance ka pata bhi nahi chalega
dont be over happy with reliance
Emad December 25, 2009 at 8:17 pm
bakwas offer hai
27 rupees mein lifetime 20 paisa hona chahiye local
aur 77 mein lifetime 20 paise loc std
ye jo comment karne wale log hain ye achanak kahan se a gaye in mein se kuchh ke alawa multiple comment diffrent names ke sath karna kisi reliance ke bande ki karamat hai
diffrence names ke sath koi band reliance ke gun gaye ja raha hai

For Rs.100 and above recharge reliance giving full talk time. But,nearly 10% talktime has to be used within 1 week that to on local only.If they make it applicable to STD also, some customers like me also will be happy.Due to this 1 week& local clause I am not recharging above rs.100.
