Reliance’s “Superior 3G” vs “Just 3G” Campaign

Reliances Superior 3G vs Just 3G CampaignNot too late says Reliance, as it unveils an innovative TV campaign to promote its self proclaimed “Superior” 3G Network.

Operators like Tata Docomo previously have campaigned about their 3G service keeping 2G vs 3G as concept.

Reliance has taken one more step forward and has started comparing the 3G networks available across the country and calling itself as “Superior”.

For now, there are 2 commercials which are making buzz across the television media which shows off what is “Just 3G” and what isn’t.

We have posted the video below.

As we already mentioned in our previous post, Reliance’s print and digital campaigning are already on full swing. Reliance also has a big “Plus” as it is only operator after state-owned BSNL & BSNL to offer better and cheaper tariffs for their 3G customers.

At the end of the day, what really matters is the availability of 3G services across the country and whether people are really interested in migrating from 2G to 3G with the costlier 3G compatible handsets and tariff as compared to 2G.

Anyways, how is the TV commercial guys? Do comment.

My problem is solved now with RGSM. I hardly used to get indoor coverage before but from last few months it is good because of installation of new cell site near my location.

All the 9 operators have better coverage in my area now except BSNL which is still clueless about problem faced with their network by local residents. Airtel is also installing their 3rd cell site here and skeleton part is ready but not transmitting signals but will be in a month. But Vodafone and Tata continue to be the best in coverage in my area.

Here are the no.of cell sites companies have in 2-2.5Kms radius at my place.

    Aircel- 1
    Airtel- 3
BSNL- 3 (Yet coverage is poor)
    Idea- 2
    Reliance- 3
Uninor-1 (Launch due, but already checked signal strength and it is -71 to -75 dBm)
    Tata- 2
    Videocon- 1
    Vodafone- 2
Loop- 1 (Not expecting it to launch services)

true, reliance is the best. let people like ds kushwaha suffer with their inferior networks….they deserve it. reliance is the best in punjab and delhi too.

Oh Man! Why do I deserve inferior network (?) Can you explain? If you are talking about RCDMA I do accept that it has good network but RGSM is good only in cities, not in the outer far flung areas. If my work makes me to go such places (not only Chandigarh but many places in India including Punjab and Delhi), is it my fault to receive bad connectivity from Reliance?

I have Reliance 3G activated on my handset and have compared it with other operator Vodafone and Airtel (I had purchased their sim during last month or so) and for your information, the Reliance 3G has complete coverage (shows HSDPA) throughout Mumbai and even in local trains while travelling. Even the indoor coverage is the best and I have got max speed of 2.7 Mbps (which is less than expected of 7.2 Mbps for 3G network) but still if you compare Vodafone on same handset it shows EDGE only indoors and HSDPA outdoors but in some areas i.e. along main roads or rail track. Airtel 3G shows HSDPA in partiality and keeps flickering between H and EDGE so it is still to come to terms with Reliance. Thus for Mumbaikars the best network as of now is Reliance 3G. You can check by activating with minimum risk of 100 Rs – 100 MB pack which i have been doing for last month or so. The ad is exactly inline with what Reliance is giving to Mumbai atleast. Other city people may also write their reviews here.

It’s true that Reliance has the worst GSM network though the case is not the same in areas where 3G is present. RCOM is a debt-laden company and they don’t have much capital to upgrade their network all over. They don’t even care of GSM/2G segment and will continue to lose customers in CDMA also. Anil Ambani and the other people of management of RCOM have completely destroyed the company.

Reliance is not Reliable any more. With it’s one of the worst GSM network, with it’s NOT PAN INDIA CDMA NETWORK (though Reliance claims), with it’s auto activating VAS nobody has Reliance on Reliance.

Well said brother and glad to see you after a long time.

As TT has already mentioned “self proclaimed “Superior” 3G Network”, Reliance always boasts itself like http://telecomtalk.info/reliance-mobile-total-network-even-in-subways-basements-and-tunnels/32838/.
Everybody knows that Reliance is not Reliable any more. With it’s one of the worst GSM network, with it’s NOT PAN INDIA CDMA NETWORK (though reliance claims), with it’s auto activating VAS nobody has Reliance on Reliance.
