I should have purchased unlocked 3G dongle, but made a mistake and purchased reliance CDMA dongle.
Why the hell CDMA operators charge like 3G?

Better get a minimum speed of 1MBps
Pugal July 16, 2012 at 9:35 am

Sourav July 15, 2012 at 10:10 pm
Guys,
Which 3g operator is best in pune? How are BSNL/MTNL signals in Pune? Can i buy an MTNL sim from mumbai and use in Pune?
Jitu.com July 15, 2012 at 9:47 pm
relience netconnect new tariffs sucks as usual…
krishnendu July 15, 2012 at 9:07 pm
I did not compared services of 3g and cdma!I just said they are providing evdo without spending huge money for 3g! so evdo should be very cheap compared to 3g!But all cdma operators have formed a cartel just like Airtel,vf etc and they are pricing it high!Only bsnl gives 3.1 mbps UNLIMITED!but one can easily understand their actual quality when you see 2mbps unlimited wireline Broadband of bsnl is priced at 9000pm!!!!
Sudhakar July 15, 2012 at 8:52 pm
SDEE well said.
Pranajit July 15, 2012 at 7:53 pm
@Sudheer Sahukar
I dont know your location or else i could have suggested you some operators.
If you want to enjoy truly 3G speed.For kolkata “Aircel” is the best in terms of money and speed.At Rajasthan,Bangalore Airtel rocks.
and for EVDO Rev B @21 mbps speed,i would say all the cdma operators to provide first a good Rev A speed.
For BSNL,only the fortunate get the promised speed and connection.
The BTS tower is just two buildings away from my home and i get an average speed of 480 kbps(its not the transfer rate,the bandwidth speed)only at night.
Pranajit July 15, 2012 at 7:43 pm
@Sudhakar
I completely agree with you.Except BSNL,other vendors push for upright purchase of modem.Besides,MTS,TATA photon plus they sell simless modem just like the old CDMA phone.
I think this is unfair.The consumer should be given a free choice and porting should be introduced in CDMA mobile broadband network too.
Pranajit July 15, 2012 at 7:34 pm
@Ranjan
there is a glitch,its 128kbps upto 5GB post 1 GB high speed data,but the actual unlimited speed is 32 kbps over 3G and on 2G it gives decent speed around 128 to 220 kbps.
but I wuould say Aircel is the best 3G operator at Kolkata.Airtel,VF and Reliance suck there.
Whereas Airtel rocks at Rajasthan
Sudhakar July 15, 2012 at 2:18 pm
To Sudheer,
Understand the fact. It is not easy to buy CDMA modems and all the CDMA operators (except BSNL) are forcing the customers to buy the modem which is highly UNFAIR. They should give it on low cost rental basis. But there are BUNDLED and standalone offer in 3G (GSM) where we can also use our own data card.
There is (Un)Fair usage policy in CDMA EVDO (whether 3.1 Mbps ot 21 Mbps REV.B). If you do not like a plan from an CDMA operator, it is difficult to change the datacard and the operator. In GSM (GPRS or 3G) unlocked modems, you can just change the SIM and use the services of other operator.
I agree that BSNL EVDO gives unlimited usage 3.1 Mbps without FUP. But it is not available at all the places.
SDee July 15, 2012 at 2:12 pm
Dont compare INDIAN OPERATORS INFRASTRUCTURE with Foreign Providers..
CDMA Is good but not in INDIA,bcoz of less coverage..Dont compare few cities with all india coverage about CDMA…
For current speed scenarios 3G is far better n hassle free option than using a CDMA service
Sudheer Sahukar July 15, 2012 at 1:55 pm
Hello hello there is no any 3.2 Mbps. Don’t comment if you really don’t know the reality. You might used basic 144 Kbps dongles not 3.1 Mbps. You are telling GSM’s 25Kbps is better than 3.1 Mbps? World has accepted CDMA in full like USA CANADA AUSTRALIA CHINA RUSSIA AFRICA ……Ha Ha Ha. CDMA IS CDMA. Do you know difference between Kbps and Mbps?
@Idris
Sudheer Sahukar July 15, 2012 at 1:43 pm
Don’t compare with 3G. 3G is only hell I used all 3G connections but no matching with evdo. CDMA is CDMA no comparison.

BSNL EVDO is far better than Reliance CDMA Netconnect…both in terms of tarrifs and speed
saiesh July 15, 2012 at 11:37 am
Ya but you get talk time of 219, so whats wrongs
arun July 15, 2012 at 10:18 am

ANIRBAN July 14, 2012 at 11:53 pm
I am using TATA PHOTON+,its always gives 190 to 260 KB/sec download speed in my area.
Sudhakar July 14, 2012 at 11:34 pm
Who wants to use the old 144 Kbps after fair usage?. Sick. Better go for BSNL 3G. Open plans, no hidden costs.
Idris July 14, 2012 at 11:33 pm
@saiesh
That is with TERMS and Conditions isn”t it? You have to Recharge with 250 then you can get it for additional Rs. 4/- They make public fool …for Rs.4/-
Actually its 250/-
Idris July 14, 2012 at 11:30 pm
The CDMA 3.2 MBPS speed is just like shit, Its better to use GSM 2G GPRS…I tried Reliance Net Connect +, TATA PHONTON +, MTS and all give actual transfer rate of 25kbps practiccally…Youtube HQ buffers toooooooooooo Much….These plans are full Waste of money, I advise DONT GO for CDMA 3.2 MBPS… Go for GSM 3G instead…I will not purchase 2GB CDMA for even Rs.100/- Its also expensive when it comes to the actual service quality…..RUBBISH CDMA…
sachin July 14, 2012 at 11:24 pm
Reliance chor chor chor
sunny July 14, 2012 at 10:11 pm
bsnl is giving 6gb @3.6mbps and after that 256kbps unlimited not 144 kbps at only 700 rs. no one can better than bsnl

Raghu July 14, 2012 at 9:44 pm
the speed has to be increased min 512 kbps and unlimited browsing should also be made available at 512 kbps after the data usage is consumed.
Ranjan July 14, 2012 at 9:34 pm
Aircel is the best with Rs 198 1GB free with speed 3.1 MBPS then unlimited till one month with minimum speed 128 KBPS
Himangshu July 14, 2012 at 8:48 pm
Flop plans……..it is costlier….
Reliance make it cheapest yaar……….
saiesh July 14, 2012 at 8:33 pm
The best tariff is docomo in case u have network just recharge for 246 and then 4 Rs. u get 1GB 3G data, and speed is decent constant around 3 MBPS
saiesh July 14, 2012 at 8:31 pm
i Fully agree, 3.1 Mbps compared to 7.2 Mbps
Tharun George July 14, 2012 at 8:13 pm
Only 256kbps min speed? Whats the average speed can be expected? 3.1mbps?
Why pay 3G cost for 2G like speed?
robin July 14, 2012 at 8:00 pm
you have mentioned that the rates are revised but have the rates increased or decreased????
I regularly recharged 10 GB unlimited for 1000 Rs but now it is 1099 Rs.
aditya DAS July 14, 2012 at 7:56 pm
@krishnendu
IT SHOULD BE 1300 FOR ATLEAST 50 GB
krishnendu July 14, 2012 at 7:39 pm
What the hell!still costlier than 3g!
indrajit July 14, 2012 at 7:38 pm
