deep February 8, 2012 at 2:31 pm
i recently recharge 248 gprs plan , but i unable to use it , i am getting 1 to 2 kb/s speed, still if tried after 10 mb usage internet speed goes to 00 kb/s speed, reliance is now totally fraud , it is looting money from customers, i was never about to recharge that plan, but what happend is that i bought new sim , i was getting 500mb gprs with it monthly for 3months, and speed was about 20 kb/s , but as soon i recharge with 248 gprs plan , speed getting below 2kb/s ,most time it is impossible to connect,, customer service says , sorry for trouble , we trying to improve our service, l i think TRIA should cancel service of such mobile oprators and should charge heavy fine , this complete wastage of money, they are real thieves of county , and if even if you get speed good for some time , there is no garantee that they will serve the service honestly in future , i say boycott these companies ,
prakhar January 19, 2012 at 6:36 pm

Vijay October 4, 2011 at 10:01 pm
NEVER EVER TRY ANY GPRS PACK IN DELHI. I HAVE TRIED THIS PACK. IT’S A FAILURE. THE INTERNET CONNECTION GETS STUCK AFTER EVERY 10 MB OF DOWNLOAD OR IF IT REMAIN CONNECTED FOR 20 MINUTES, WHICHEVER IS EARLIER. ALSO TRIED AT DIFFERENT PLACES WITH MY FRIENDS/RELATIVES LAPTOP\DESKTOP. EVERWHERE THE SAME STORY. IN 6 DAYS I AM NOT ABLE TO CONSUME EVEN 200 MB, FORGET 20 GB
Saurabh October 2, 2011 at 9:30 am
You may be right. But plans are not updated on their website like MTS which is providing 2GB for 97-98 but no info. on website. Seems like CDMA operators are gearing up to give a competition to their GSM counterparts with such offerings. CDMA is a less-talked or used segment in India and with increase in OMH handsets availabilty and cheap 1X or EVDO offerings they can gain customers. CDMA is better technology than GSM but operators in India like BSNL, Reliance or Tata don’t care much about it. MTS is the only one to be committed in this segment.

@vijay
rcomnet… thats the default setting…
In night i get more than 40KBps…. I think in Bangalore reliance swpeed is not capped thats why i am getting more than 35KBps…
vijay October 1, 2011 at 9:16 pm
@sumit
what APN setting are you using. I hardly get 4 – 6 kbps downloading speed in delhi.
Kanchan October 1, 2011 at 4:58 pm
@sumit
Speed varies in different circles. I am talking about those who are getting capped speed of 48-60kbps or 6-7kBps.
vikas619 September 30, 2011 at 12:37 pm
i am currently using Airecl 98 unlimited 2g plan, speed is around 30kb/s. and my weekly uses is exceeds 6GB.
and i have used reliance for short time , speed was 35-40 kb/s , but their service is very poor { like auto activating VAS and deducting balance etc)
BTW this plan is good , i hope other(i want BSNL) will fallow sooooon….
Keshav Jha September 30, 2011 at 11:10 am
Tata Indicom has introduced recharge of 43 in which we will get 2 GB 1xCDMA data in mobile for 1 month… I got this sms 15 days back…
Keshav Jha September 30, 2011 at 11:08 am
when I was in Delhi, Reliance net was working very good there, 180- 225 kbps… So it not necessary that Reliance is bad everywhere… A superb plan for there where it provides good speed.
sumit September 30, 2011 at 12:13 am
@Kanchan
I have downloaded 1GB already… Geting 35 to 40KBps… Anyone from Bangalore … please check the speed….Then you will also believe….
Kanchan September 29, 2011 at 11:32 pm
If someone could download 2gb out of 20gb in a month it would be a huge achievement.
What is TRAI doing? speed capping should not be less than 120kbps in 2G

amar September 29, 2011 at 9:31 am
@Rahul Barik i don’t get speed more than 10 KB/S
Rohan Singh September 29, 2011 at 9:21 am
I have a screen shots of speed test. I think Reliance is giving u only speed. Total bull shit. Reliance GPRS speed restricted to 48Kbps & download @ 5-8 kbps and thats on full network . Totally baseless comment.
Rakesh September 29, 2011 at 7:03 am
in 3g time reliance is looking on 2g that’s quite surprising
vijay September 29, 2011 at 2:02 am
I am not able to use U-TORRENT or any peer to peer file downloading with Reliance GPRS plan. All these software works well with Idea GPRS. No use guys of getting 20 GB data. Speed here in delhi is pathetic. Downloading speed is 4-5 kbps. Had taken 50 minutes to open google page.
sumit September 28, 2011 at 11:43 pm
@Rahul Barik
I agree with you my friend… In Bangalore also i am getting 35 to 40KBps…. Its really amazing yaar…
1st time reliance is really reliable….
Rahul Barik September 28, 2011 at 10:47 pm
Reliance have the best 2g as well as 3g speed in kolkata…. If anyone denies, he must be living underground….. I get download speed of more than 30kbps in 2g… Average is 35-37 kbps. Sometimes goes up to 40-42. And mind it..its the download speed
Fahad September 28, 2011 at 9:27 pm
Great yaar I get speed around 20-30 KB/S
Awesome
riyan September 28, 2011 at 8:43 pm

Mane September 28, 2011 at 8:05 pm
I m using rcom 248 gprs plan and getting 179kbps speed on my sony ericsson mobile.
And reliance also gives a talktime of 88 in 178 gprs plan in Rajasthan.
Rohan Singh September 28, 2011 at 7:42 pm
I would never use Reliance. Reliance is a big cheater. And their 2G speed is 48kbps which is most pathetic than any other operator in Kolkata. Go to hell u opposite of Reliance.
Sam From Kashmir September 28, 2011 at 7:32 pm
Reliance is owsome in Kashmir 256kpbs………..
riyan September 28, 2011 at 7:26 pm

AzK September 28, 2011 at 7:08 pm

Arup September 28, 2011 at 6:58 pm
are vai reliance ka jo speed hai 20 gb khatam karne mein wo pagal ho jayega.I am too much satisfied with bsnl 98 plan
anand September 28, 2011 at 5:55 pm
great and cheap tariff plan ever introduced by any operator.
dritesh007 September 28, 2011 at 5:23 pm
,RELIANCE WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE 3G SPEED IN 2G,,IF YOU WANT 3G SPEED WITH THESE PLAN ,,THEN FOLOW MY STEPS,,
STEP 1: MAINTAIN FIRST BALANCE 30 NOT MORE THAN 30,,OTHERWISE IT WILL DEDUCT AFTER 3G PLAN GET ENDS,,
STEP 2: SEND MBB20 TO 51111
AND AFTER THAT YOU WILL GOT 23 MB FOR 3G SPEED LIKE A CHARM ,,
THEN USE THOSE DATA,,AND WHEN DATA ENDS,,RESTART SIM,,AND THEN IMMEDIATELY RECHARGE WITH 178 AND 248 PLAN ,,FOR 20 GB DATA,,REMEMBER 178 GIVES 20 GB FOR 1 MONTH,,AND 248 GIVES 20 GB FOR 3 MONTH,,
SO AFTER THAT,,RELIANCE WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE DOING 3G DATA,,BECAUSE YOUR 3G SUBSCRIPTION WILL NOT ACTIVATE UNTIL YOU HAVE BALANCE MORE THAN 30 RS,,
IMPORTANT:: AFTER RESTART SIM,,RECHARGE WITH 178 OR 248 FROM RETAILOR,,THEN MESSAGE WILL COME THAT MBB178 FOR 2G WILL ACTIVATE SHORTLY,,THEN REMOVE SIM FOR 1-2 HOURS,,AFTER THAT OPEN SIM,,NOW YOU HAVE 20 GB FOR 1 MONTH,,SOMETIMES SPEED WILL BEET SLOW,BUT USE GOOGLE CHROME AND IDM FOR DOWNLOAD MANAGER,
TIP:- i m not sure try @ u r own risk
dritesh007 September 28, 2011 at 5:17 pm
thx bafna sir to posting this article on tt
thx once again
novicefreak1 September 28, 2011 at 5:08 pm
here in hyd we cannot recharge with 98 in 3g plans. It is barred. to use gprs pack we should shift to 2g plans and recharge..this is very bad from bsnl. no indoor 3g coverage and 2g sucks big time….
doggy dog September 28, 2011 at 4:47 pm
give me 3g speeds on that amount then i can think of shifting …
Karthik September 28, 2011 at 4:23 pm
20gb 2g data for 1 month!! Big joke. Nobody can use that much with such a slow speed. If the validity of rs.178 pack is atleast 90 days means at least it is ok.
Saikat September 28, 2011 at 4:19 pm
Wat is d use of dis gprs pcks,d ntwrk of reliance is pathetic.hardly a page can b opened
AzK September 28, 2011 at 4:11 pm
what is the status of reliance gsm edge network in pune?does it have good speeds.i use docomo in pune and in indore,i get around 200 kbps(kilo bits per second) which is quiet good.
Devraj September 28, 2011 at 4:10 pm
@sukhen
In Bangalore GPRS pack on BSNL using 3G network I get only 15kbps speed. But BSNL is best here. For Airtel I got only 5kbps speed.
sukhen September 28, 2011 at 4:00 pm
Better use BSNL 2G with 3GB at Rs.98 with speed upto 256kbps using 3G network in 3G Mobile set.
amar September 28, 2011 at 3:48 pm
i get speed between 6-10 KB/S using reliance in both gsm mode and UMTS mode(2G plan).
Reliance 3G gives better speed than others at my home.
Vodafone 2G gives me far better than reliance at 10-25 KB/S.
Saurabh September 28, 2011 at 3:38 pm
Airtel- Rs.147 for 2GB and on the other and Reliance Rs.178 for 20GB. Lets see how other GSM operators respond to this. But 20GB in one month is hard to complete because of slow speed of EDGE networks. Though here we get 40KBps with Reliance after network problem got solved but it falls to 15-20KBps between 11AM-6PM. They should provide unlimited under 175-200. A cap like 20GB or 10GB doesn’t matter. It is just like unlimited on EDGE. Rs.248 plan is good. Aircel also offering unlimited for 3 months for Rs.251 along-with 150 Aircel to Aircel calls. on both pre and postpaid. But here both provide similar speed.
Md Rajaul September 28, 2011 at 3:34 pm
Is it possible to use this 20 GB data in one month in this low speed 2G of reliance where its 2G downloading speed is somewhere between 2 KBps to 15 KBps???
sid k p September 28, 2011 at 3:34 pm
256 kbps is max surfing speed but we get 110 to 150kbps in mumbai also i had use its good in 2g speed. 3g is too costing, in 3g phone or data card u neet to first set ur nextwork to normally 2g network otherwise it will eat ur all balance of sim card with 3g charges .
sam shibu September 28, 2011 at 3:26 pm
i used to get 7kbps speed on reliance gprs
Ramesh September 28, 2011 at 3:24 pm
Who can use the 20GB with in a month at edge speed ? Let them provide 2GB in HSDPA.
abhilash September 28, 2011 at 3:23 pm
tell me the speed for both plan in 2g please
