Reliance Communications today announced that it will roll out new innovative plan tagged as ‘Simply Reliance’ on October 6, 2009 on its CDMA and GSM networks. The Simpy Reliance Plan offers one single rate of 50 paise per minute across India covering 24,000 towns and 600,000 villages.
The single rate of 50 paise per minute applies to all local calls, all STD calls and to any mobile CDMA or GSM or Landline from anywhere in India without any monthly charges for prepaid without any hidden charges or any conditions, whatsoever.
To avail this Simply Reliance Plan, existing or new prepaid customers have to purchase one time special tariff voucher for Rs.48 to enjoy lifetime validity.
Incidentally, most of the competitive tariff plans launched in the market recently, have not been offered to the post-paid customers in India. However, postpaid users too can now avail this Simply Reliance plan and enjoy the same single rate of 50 paise per min with monthly subscription fee of Rs.99.
Commenting on the new ground-breaking initiative, Mr. Anil Dhirubhai Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Communications said,Reliance pioneered the mobile revolution making calls cheaper than a postcard in 2005. In another game changing move today, Reliance brings a billion Indians closer to each other, with one single rate for all local and STD calls, to any mobile or landline network, anytime, anywhere in India, without any conditions or restrictions.Once again, Reliance has set new standards, offering unbelievable and never-before savings to a billion Indians.
With the Simply Reliance Plan, Reliance Communications offers seamless and unconditional benefits to all its existing customers, both prepaid and post-paid, as well as new customers waiting in the wings to join the Reliance family. There are no other terms or conditions or any fine print attached to this plan.

I am planning to buy reliance gsm sim can any one tells me about its network quality in delhi.thanks
sumonta October 9, 2009 at 5:12 pm
if u ask any MTS customter u can know abt MTS network quality . i use MTS , MTS network is just like Reliane cdma…. MTS voice clarity also..
Hitesh October 8, 2009 at 5:43 pm
This is the difference Between Reliance And MTS. MTs is new player ANd it cant give surity for good network… But reliance is established player. U will get much more better network and voice clarity on Reliance

swapnil October 8, 2009 at 5:22 am
an on this.
totally agree with you on this one.
stalin October 7, 2009 at 2:13 pm
simply reliance is probably the best plan/tariff in the world. i have airtel and am already dumping them for reliance… not only because of the tariff/no bonus packs but also because of the arrogance of airtel in not providing value to it customers and deteriorating customer service.
sumonta October 7, 2009 at 2:10 pm
this free minutes validity is only for 1 month. Reliance should introduce one time onnet local card with offering onnet local call at 20 p/min or something else , another could be just like MTS’S 499 recharge card offering 150 mins onnet local call free daily and 10 local + ntion sms daily free daily for life time.
if RELIANCE introduce such kind of recharge card, RELIANCE’S “simple talk” plan will be further enhanced as well as it will help RELIANCE to gain more customers.
Hitesh October 7, 2009 at 12:32 pm
Simply Reliance rocking. It is Giving an open challenge to all New and established operators. And mainly to Airtel.
Hitesh October 7, 2009 at 12:30 pm
In Postapaid, they also introduce two plans 99Rs and 399 Rs. In 99Rs plan U will get 99 local+national SMS free and 399 plan U will get 399 local+national SMS Free and 399 Rs Local talktime…
Hitesh October 7, 2009 at 12:27 pm
As per their website
Hitesh October 7, 2009 at 12:26 pm
Not even that… Reliance also introduce some packs on both Gsm and CDMA network.
U can Also make Local calls to any No. in just 40p and local onnet call in just 20p. With these packs 40Rs and 80Rs, Which gives 200 mins onnet and 200 mins local mins free respectively
Zeeshan October 7, 2009 at 12:07 pm
This plan is applicable in all over India@kaushik
Ansh October 7, 2009 at 11:46 am
I cannot tell you exactly how many hours, but battery easily lasts for around 3 days with good usage in voice calls. I use multimedia rarely & little of sms.
Hope it helps..
sumonta October 7, 2009 at 11:41 am
i have a RGSM old life time kolkata sim card of rs 750 +rs 250 , local call from my RGSM to RGSM at 30 p/min and to other local call 99 p/min. i have to recharge of minimum 30 rs to increase my account validity for 6 months. i called cc care if i recharge with 48 rs my all calls will be 50 p/min and have to rech min 200 rs within 6 moths to retain this offer and my 30p /min rgsm to rgsm will not be activated. rgsm has no solution for its old customers in kolkata.
Vineet October 7, 2009 at 11:08 am
For new customer cdma or gsm first recharge is of rs.51 and nt of rs48 to avail this plan.
Suchisuvra Sen October 7, 2009 at 8:23 am
Reliance sabka bap…………….
Prasath J October 7, 2009 at 5:43 am
Atlast a nice tariff from Reliance.. The most best part is that, they are providing this plan for POST PAID too, and even while ROAMING….
Hats off to Reliance… Hope Tata (Indicom atleast) launch such plan all over India soon… Fingers Crossed..
Agnivo October 7, 2009 at 2:26 am
Looks like they put it on their website now:
http://www.rcom.co.in/webapp/Communications/website/GSM/customer_experience.jsp
http://www.rcom.co.in/webapp/Communications/website/GSM/gsm_jaadu_pack.jsp
Seems like a solution for cheaper on-net calls (Rs.40 : 200 mins @ 20p)
http://www.rcom.co.in/webapp/Communications/website/GSM/sp_pack.jsp
Agnivo October 7, 2009 at 2:20 am
Snip from the above PDF “however, customers who have opted for old plans will continue to be billed at old rates for another six months”
So, unless they introduce any special on-net STV, we’d lose the cheapr on-net calls. After 6 months we’d be forced into this new plan. Ah, it saves 48 bucks to wait for 6 months… hehe

Agnivo October 7, 2009 at 2:09 am
Reliance, seriously, the GSM website needs to be maintained professionally… it’s a mess!
Agnivo October 7, 2009 at 2:00 am
From other sites:
“The Anil Ambani group firm will also pull-out all existing plans by mid-October to offer only the new plan to all pre-paid and post-paid users.”
“Rates also applicable while roaming.”
Now, I hope they will keep the on-net calls @ 25p and 5p in offpeak… I need that badly.
vinay October 7, 2009 at 12:49 am
its a really good plan.
however, 1 query. i bought reliance gsm card. but whenever i used to change n insert reliance sim in my mobile, it wud ask for configuration setting, n show some error.
is it some reliance tactics to check for configuration of mobile handset n change its setting so that the handset doesnt remain useful for other operator’s sim cards in future?
i hate this system of such config. query everytime, i change the handset. reliance shud act immediately to remove such errors.
anybody plz help me…
Anirban Bhattacharjee October 7, 2009 at 12:41 am
Yes this offer also valid in kolkata. Forget their website, they update once in a year!!!
vinay October 7, 2009 at 12:25 am
a good plan but there is anomaly in the plans for prepaid n postpaid.
a prepaid customer has to recharge with ‘one time’ spl tariff voucher of 48 n lifetime validity of 50 ps/min.
however, post paid customer has tariff of 50 ps/min with ‘monthly’ subscription fee of Rs.99.
more than 99 rs against the 48 rs, its the monthly 99 vs one time 48 which is annoying for post paid. isnt it? or there is some confusion in the scheme?
Shoeb October 6, 2009 at 9:34 pm
@ Ansh
how much talk time does your mobile give you?
kaushik October 6, 2009 at 9:25 pm
is this offer applicable in kolkata ? their website shows nothing about this
Amit October 6, 2009 at 8:17 pm
@ devraj
99 Rs are not waist, u will get 198 sms free.
Devraj October 6, 2009 at 1:57 pm
@ishan
Postpaid plan is also available at Rs 99 monthly rental but no talk time so Rs 99 is waist
Pratap Bhanja October 6, 2009 at 12:27 pm
This is a great move by Reliance Mobile, which will create ripples in the mobile telephone industry.
ishan October 6, 2009 at 11:56 am
@Devraj
according to the article postpaid customers can also enjoy this simply reliance plan with monthly subscription fee of rs.99/month.
Devraj October 6, 2009 at 11:40 am
I found this plan very useful because in roaming all out going calls and in coming calls are at 50 Paisa. You do not have to worry when you are in roaming. I asked to CC they cleared no daily rental no first call charge. But this plan is not for postpaid customer I am thinking to go to prepaid
K.K.Kotpal October 6, 2009 at 10:18 am
This plan may be a boon to those customers who do not want to change their MIN and seeking economical rates. As far as new customer’s inclination would be towards TATA and MTS. in PSP and Per call plans which in turn calculated lower call cost at end of the day.
Ansh October 6, 2009 at 9:11 am
Exactly Anuj..
Now i really feel the advantage of having a Dual sim phone CDMA+GSM in my hand with docomo in one & indicom in another. For short calls per sec & for long calls 10 min pulse!! What say guys?
PS – I have Spice D88 Gold.
Ansh October 6, 2009 at 9:05 am
@chandan
I don’t agree brother… with MNP in line doing such things is not that easy for operators. As soon as they stop some offer (because of which you use that operator).. change your operator!!
After MNP is implemented, taking such steps won’t be easy for operators.
I don’t think any1 should be complaining now.. everything at 50p, even roaming, with no daily rentals & one time recharge!! that’s what i think makes it different..
Although TATA with both GSM & CDMA still in competition because of “Pay per call” & “per sec billing” respectively.
Surely a blow for Airtel, because its only the Karnataka circle plan (i mean Airtel Advantage for Karnataka subscribers) which can hold something for Airtel. Otherwise Airtel again has to think something.. really soon.
RDB October 5, 2009 at 11:09 pm
Earlier RCOmm’s Jaadu packs of one time 444/555(local 60p/50p) cud not hit the right chord ! hope it will !
Reliance has a pathetic history of withdrawl of plans frm existing customers, i dnt beliv them ! their CC is worst frm my personal experience ! i think worse than BSNL even. as u can contct BSNL local exchng , but Reliance WOrld Shoppe’s C.Care just sucks !
Anuj October 5, 2009 at 10:39 pm
fingers crossed… but one thing for sure.. no m dammn sure that Reliance wont be a single operator having this type of scheme in next 3-4 months.. before MNP itself almost all major operators shall start following these type of schemes..
Hrishikesh October 5, 2009 at 10:39 pm
As Reliance mobile post-paid customer since Feb.2005, i always find Reliance a good friend-always with me-anytime-anywhere.This is the first company that brought STD Rs1/minute for Post paid customers.Even in remote area, the signal is good to talk. now first to provide STD call rate 0.50/minute to any number in India. So Happy Diwali to all Reliance post-paid customers..
Abhishek Narwana October 5, 2009 at 10:31 pm
it seems to very good n beneficial offer by Reliance.Till yet none of the operators except reliance offered such a good plan.
Prateek October 5, 2009 at 10:09 pm
dudes..48 is a one time charge..
der is no rental applicable..and other operators will follow it soon as Rel is pan-india and other want to bcum or save der prestige like airtel, vodafone.
kaushik October 5, 2009 at 9:38 pm
hope that within diwali all leading operators will give 50 paise local & std
only difference will be the monthly rental charged, which should be high for larger operators and low for small or new operators
altaf October 5, 2009 at 9:34 pm
If u see todays tariff plan of operators they are introducing 50 paise/min so this is the present times trend and in future u will see that other operators also following reliance foot steps so this time reliance will not do anything as u mentioned above
kaushik October 5, 2009 at 9:25 pm
hi everybody
BSNL kolkata introduced 123 power voucher where call any number in INDIA @ 50 paise.Another voucher is 58 where BSNL local & std @ 50 paise and other Local & std 75 paise ( should be called BSNL ADVANTAGE PLAN like AIRTEL)
kaushik October 5, 2009 at 9:08 pm
i agree with u. here in kolkata in 2006 they introduced lifetime mobile call charges 19 paise – own network,59 paise other local and 99 paise STD.But in 2007 they withdrawn the offer without prior notice and even exixting customers had to suffer
Anuj October 5, 2009 at 9:00 pm
exactly man, for short calls per second billing is still better but for peoples having long duration calling pattern, this 50p/min is more economical..
Shoeb October 5, 2009 at 8:47 pm
This is a good initiative from Reliance, However i still believe people making local calls mostly using Tata Docomo would end up saving more end of the day than reliance. but regarding STD call people dont make STD calls for a min or two but rather STD calls usually long so Reliance would be a better option for STD calls.
At the end it Totally depends upon the type of caller you are
1)whether you make More Std or Local..
2)whether you make More Short calls or Long calls..
chandan October 5, 2009 at 8:46 pm
pls don’t be much happy. reliance will increase the tariff once it sell lots of new connections. i know them very well. they are pure opportunist. all will see in the days to come.
altaf October 5, 2009 at 8:42 pm
Missing info roaming incoming and outgoing at 50 paise….and others things…
altaf October 5, 2009 at 8:29 pm
SHIT MAN! sirf ek din pehle ye news publish hota toh mere STV ke paise bach jaate.
At last, reliance users will get something after suffering from their poor & pathetic services. Now I am having second thoughts whether to switch from reliance to other operator after MNP implementation. I used to hate reliance but from now on lets see whether I will be hating reliance or will be in love
Anuj October 5, 2009 at 7:49 pm
So Reliance is now more economical than Tata Docomo or any other operator either having per second or per minute billing system.
Anuj October 5, 2009 at 7:45 pm
As per news on ET Now, this plan shall get effective from tomorrow.
Sriram October 5, 2009 at 7:28 pm
Then what Reliance is going to get ?
Anuj October 5, 2009 at 7:25 pm
I interacted with Reliance GSM customer care just a few minutes back. CC told that this plan is available from 1st Oct itself!
kkmour October 5, 2009 at 7:24 pm
Will it be applicable to Assam ??????? Assam appears to be the step brother of Anil Ambani.
naveen October 5, 2009 at 7:19 pm
what a move!!!! AIRTEL ADVANTAGE PLAN IN THE DUSTBIN PLS. ANYONE HAVE ANY OBJECTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. SIMPLY SUPERB. NOW NO NEED TO CLASSIFY LOCAL OR STD CALL WITH THIS FACILITY. ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL THE BESTTTTTTTTTT FOR RCOM.
Chirag October 5, 2009 at 7:17 pm
Start number portability ASAP!!! I want to switch to Reliance!!!
Chirag October 5, 2009 at 7:15 pm
Once again Reliance have proved that they are MARKET LEADERS!!!!
Vineet October 5, 2009 at 7:14 pm
After long time reliance mobile has come out with great plan that to without any monthly charge.great going reliance.keep it up.
Idrees October 5, 2009 at 6:53 pm
Unbelievable, fantastic step beacuse the point to observe is that it is an initative for the whole country unlike other operatory for selected cities
Sanjay Bafna October 5, 2009 at 6:49 pm
Its great move…
Anuj October 5, 2009 at 6:11 pm
Kudos! Simply great! Big setback to Bharti Airtel’s advantage plans & all that stuff.. Flat 50p/m to any network anywhere in India that too with only one time recharge.. simply great.. now these guys need to concentrate on network quality.. if they do so, bharti’s leadership in market may face threat..
