    Will the reliance sim work with the scheme on any other phone? For example, if my dad bought the plan but wants to use the reliance sim on a blackberry will the plan work? Free calls etc?

      *Yup,the sim is not locked,so you can remove it from the iphone 5S and use the sim in your blackberry.

      *Essentially what you could do is buy the iphone 5S from reliance on-contract.Sell the iphone 5S for some amount like the same amount or a little higher and then use the reliance sim in whichever handset you would want and the offers would continue for a period of 2 years.

      *Although I am kinda not sure about it so,you could check it up with reliance FAQs

    This is too costly and now they have raised the emi’s for zero down payment. It’s too complicated. My BlackBerry is better!

      Credit card only. But not worth now.. earlier plan was just OK. Demand caused greed in them in seems. .now definitely need to think before buying.. .

        You are absolutely right bro. They got greedy as this new scheme is targeted at the rich.Had they continued with the previous scheme,they could have roped in a lot of office going middle class guys.The previous scheme was just ok. This one is a bomb as far as cost is concerned.Reliance anyway has Rs. 1200 or so unlimited plan.Add to that what we are paying for two years will be costlier than the actual iphone and by the end of two years that phone will anyway be outdated.

    Neither this nor the previous plan attracted me, firstly because I find apple phones over priced and secondly because I do not need truly unlimited voice or data on the go.

    I don’t think it is true unlimited 3G. Last time also it was capped around 2 or 3GB.

    • Sanjay Bafna December 20, 2013 3:17 pm, 3:17 PM

      No, its 100% True Unlimited, No Cap at all – last time or this time.

      @Tharun George
      The data limit is virtually capped because considering the battery life of iphone no one would want to download huge files on the move.Plus iphone can also not be used for wifi tethering and then I think the offer is only limited to people having a credit card which means the rich and educated so they wont download simply for the sake of downloading and I think the sim card would not be removable just like most carrier phones in the US and even if someone is able to remove it it would deny working on any other device through some kind of verififcation process.

      Yes saw on rcom website. It is very reasonable to get 28mbps Unlimited 3G with sms and voice for Rs 2499 + free iPhone.

      Better than fiber internet.

        Whether this sim obtained with iphone can be used in other phones too ? Whether these bundled phones are operator locked?

        Please update regarding this.

          Yes, R- SIM card be used with any other phone, but not for commercial activity.

          2. iPhones under this schemes are ‘Unlocked Device” so one can use with any other SIM card.
