Docomo speed here in kolkata sucks.
The company has some open secret, I assume.
1.If you recharge with Rs. 5/-, they will provide with best BW available.
2.If you recharge with Rs. 15/-, they will provide with very good BW available(so that you go for loger commitment).
3.If you recharge with Rs. 48/-, they will provide with good BW available for first 2 days, then onwards speed sucks & 3 to 4 days before your validity expires, they will again give you very good BW so that you do recharge next time again thinking the speed will be good next time.
This is my little personal experience….do you people ever experienced this?

Another thing I want to share with you guys that will clearly represent how irresponsible the tata docomo management are.
This year during april I called up their cce to know whether they have a network in sikkim or not as I planned to go there by May.

I: Is there any network of docomo in gangtok?
CCE: ok……can I make you hold for sometimes to give you correct info?
    I: ya….sure.
CCE(after a while): sir, can you tell me whether you want to know about national romaing or international roaming.(Just think about the level!!!)
I: No dear, I want to know about sikkim(..gangtok)…..haven’t you heard about the place? If not, then Sikkim is a place just nearly above west bengal….
CCE:ok sir, then can you tell me sikkim is under which telecom circle?
I just disconnected the line as none but he can’t help me anyway.

My question is how people like this who don’t have basic info about India can get the job of cce?

You said it right Vineet. One day Rs.5 were deducted from my Tata Docomo. I complained and they refunded me Rs.10. I think future is with Tata Docomo. I’m using Tata Docomo GPRS and I got its speed very fast.

Sorry mate, I didn’t have same experience. Once I recharged with Rs.5/- & only after surfing tt for a while(say 30 mins), I was charged almost 7 to 8 rs. When I called up their cce, they told me that my apn wasn’t right though it was tata.docomo.internet. Then I told that I have used the same apn when I recharged with rs.48/- previously. Then they told that Rs.5/- needs anothere settings which I should have got by sending a sms for settings. I disconnected & smsed & got the same old settings, opened the google page & still they deducted my balance. I again called up & that time they told that I have exceeded their daily limit. Think how horrible their cce are.

Anyway, Aircel’s tower is just 200 meters far from my home but I don’t receive proper network. It fluctuates too much. Once I recharged with Rs.98 pocket internet but could not use it. Reliance GSM has been working in MP since 1998. you can see its subscriber base of 1998. Oldset operator of MP was RPG now known as Idea.

Reliance GSM is second oldest operator of MP. Thats why here in MP it has very good coverage and also have customer faith. Lots of people using RGSM from many years and they are very happy.

i have also suffered due to faltu customer care.i was reliance postpaid customer in bihar circle.i was wrongly told by customer care about its gprs plan and landed huge bill.i refused to pay inflated bill and still fighting with reliance.

i too was a victim of rcom’s fraud and was informed wrongly about my gprs usage. rcom doesn’t have a system of auto check of gprs usag/balances… like other operators (one has to manually call up rcom customer care to know the balance!!! wtf!!) and one of their cc exec gave me the wrong info about my balance. naturally, i exceed the quota (2.5GB) and i was billed Rs. 320 for 32 MB of usage (@ 10p/10kb).
after fighting with the cc and escalation team, i finally got the refund only when/after i complained to TRAI. and the escalation guy – mr.amit from corporate office (actually he is a corporate goonda) calls and has the nerve to tell me that the money they refunded was part of the goodwill gesture and not under any pressure.
this is called blatant/daylight robbery. even after solid proofs they act as if customers were wrong and even have the nerve to called the refunds as goodwill gesture.
never trust rcom. they are the biggest chors in the world. cheating is in their dna.

I THINK RCOM/R-ADAG IS CHEATING AND FRAUDING ITS CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF 2 REASONS. ITS IN THEIR VALUE SYSTEM TO EARN MONEY THROUGH CHEATING ONLY. SECONDLY, RCOM HAS 30,000 CRS DEBT. THEY ARE CHEATING CUSTOMERS TO REPAY THIS HUGE DEBT.

I SUGGEST MR.AMBANI STARTS ASKING FOR DONATION OR BEGGING INSTEAD OF CHEATING ITS CUSTOMERS. THAT WILL BE ACCEPTABLE TO CUSTOMERS INSTEAD OF CHEATING.

rgsm is worst in gprs. speed fluctuates too much. their highest is 27kbps though.
    Voda is terrible. Max 9kbps.
Docomo is good but lacks indoor coverage. Tower goes off. In good coverage it gives upto 40kbps(in my N79).
Aircel & bsnl equally fluctuates indoors.
    Airtel constantly provides 15kbps.
    Uninor & idea too slow.

R u sure ? 10yrs ? As far as i know Reliance was launched in 2004. Most of the operator operate on 900mhz & 1800mhz like Airtel, Bsnl, Vodafone..etc.
Where as 3G is concerned it operates on 2100mhz. Reliance shud be renamed as Fraud GSM.

I am very happy because in MP and CG Reliance GSM has been providing its services for more than 10 years. Here in this circle RGSM has extraordinary network (operates on 900 Mhz) thats why its 3G service in my circle will be super. In my circle it is giving tough competition to BSNL in villages.

Aircel is a old operator of west bengal .. And idea recently entered in west bengal.. But in short time idea covers more villages than aircel.. Aircel too slow to enlarge its network soon.. Idea call tariff also cheaper than aircel here.. Idea is inserting their network machine on vodafone tower.. On the other hand aircel using own mobile tower for propagating their network .. That may be main reason..

Network improvement doesnt depend upon only one person… If u want idea cellular karnataka to offer quality service like idea maharastra then mr sanjeev aga must replace all spice telecom staff with idea staff( takin few from each circle)

& regarding uninor’s coverage, uninor has raised a dept of 10000crores for network expansion so we can expect some coverage.. ACTUALLY UNINOR NEEDS 150000 CRORES TO MAKE RAPID NETWORK EXPANSION BY COVERING ALL VILLAGES,ROADWAYS & RAILWAYS BUT TELENOR HAS SAID TAT IT WONT INVEST MONEY FROM NOW ON.. TATS Y THEY ARE TAKING LOAN & TRY TO FUND THROUGH ITS REVENUE.

i have also suffered due to faltu customer care.i was reliance postpaid customer in bihar circle.i was wrongly told by customer care about its gprs plan and landed huge bill.i refused to pay inflated bill and still fighting with reliance.

i too was a victim of rcom’s fraud and was informed wrongly about my gprs usage. rcom doesn’t have a system of auto check of gprs usag/balances… like other operators (one has to manually call up rcom customer care to know the balance!!! wtf!!) and one of their cc exec gave me the wrong info about my balance. naturally, i exceed the quota (2.5GB) and i was billed Rs.

I think none can praise Reliance. They should change their name as this may be suitable for Mukesh Ambani but not for Anil Ambani.

Reliance stands for trust. But Reliance is doing the reverse thing. They are totally untrustable company. Reliance is no. 1 in:
    1. poor c.c
    2. Poor netwk
    3. Poor GPRS
    4. Stealing bal.
They bought 3G license at the cost that was deducted frm user’s a/c for all false reasons.

But its customer care never cares for customer. this is my experience since I became customer of reliance. Network coverage is very poor. But now It has started cheating. I was in assam circle for more than a month. When I came to UP(E) circle I found that in my Reliance GSM UP(E) prepaid connection cricket updates are coming. I asked about this from customer care. The executive told me that it was activated on users request using *123# on the date I was in assam circle (where roaming in not available on prepaid connection for the rest of India). I told her how it can be possible when my mobile was not in service area. She answered me very rudely that It is not their concern if you were not in service area. I tried to explain her but she didn’t listen. Then I asked her to lodge a complaint regarding this and give me complain no. She told me that she cannot file complaint in this matter.I was astonished to the way she was talking to me. Still I kept myself cool and asked her to deactivate this service. She told me to dial *123*1004#. I did so several times but after several attempts it is not deactivated yet. I contacted customer care 2 times after that, and didn’t tell them about the previous incident and just asked them to deactivate the cricket service. But every time I was told that due to some technical problem they couldn’t help me.

Very well said dear. I’m also facing this problem on more than 5 numbers of my Reliance SIM. They are the cheaters. That is why I use Reliance for free calling only. If Tata Docomo or BSNL launch same type tariff i’ll throw away all my Reliance SIM and will request to do so to all my friends and family members.

even my GF facing same problem in Pune.. she earlier placed a complained they said “if again ur money will deduct they will refundbut 5th time its deduct 2day and they refuseto return”. isuggest her to trough the sim and buy anew sim.. but proble is abt number change….

I was also having the same problem but now it’s solved…Just register your telephone number in NDNC Registry by sending SMS “START DND” on 1909 .It will take around 45 days to activate this service. I am not sure whether it will help you or not. But try this……..may be your problem get solved

I do this immediaty on the day of purchasing the SIM. But if you tell them about DND they say that the activation has been done from customer side.

I am staying in NEW PANVEL. I was a retailer for their CDMA. Their VAS has hidden agenda and unilaterally activate rubbish services. A lot of customer came to me with complaints saying that immediately on recharge the balances are deducted. When confronted withe ID their so called customer care centre “cooly” said the A/c is running minus and hence the deduction. The subscribers were not getting positive reply and therefore as their retailer I tool up the matter with their corporate customer care. The response I received was shoking ! The accused me of running a parallel customer care with profit making ! The commission i get is hardly 2.5%
Personally too I opted for a GSM connection. Since day 1 I could hardly make any call. If i go down the building sometimes i get connected. This issue too was taken up and the result is same.
Almost all the service providers have not succeeded in giving a satisfactory networkset in 2G. As such their hurrying to 3G will be suicidal. May they foresaw this hence not all have opted for 3G presence in pan-India basis !
The PSUs have the licence and are monkeying with it !!!!!

One of my retailer also said that Reliance is a ‘CHOR’ (Thief) company. When their customer care don’t here retailers how a common man can resolve their problem? Is TRAI listening this? Telecomtalk should do something about this. They should provide a section to consumer gravience cell and contact to higher authority of the concerned service provider regarding this with all the complaint filed by consumers.

I am customer of Reliance GSM for more than 4 years (2 connections in two telecom circles) and have 5 other operators connections.I use Reliance for cheap call rates in home circle and roaming.
She told me that she cannot file complaint in this matter.
I was astonished to the way she was talking to me.

If Tata Docomo or BSNL launch same type tariff i’ll throw away all my Reliance SIM and will request to do so to all my friends and family members.

worst worst network…..the no of bars change only by tilting the mobile…sms sending failed number of times….i have been using gprs on mobile and it connects for 5 mins then stops connecting….customer care people sometime say that it is temporary network problem and will resolve in 24 hours and it has been over a month now…..they provide me new settings most times….wake up reliance or else after MNP you will start losing customers..

I think they will charge different for different speeds like in broadband. They will divide their speed/plans like HSDPA, HSPA, HSPA+…etc

it keeps happening to some customers. in the case of Airtel,Idea i have seen many customers got cheated by automatically activating VAS services. so Airtel,Idea are also cheaters.

Launch Date? its a marketing gimmick, As MNP is right in the corner they are trying to retain their customer with all sorts of shit Promises, do you all still believe that one can deliver us 21 Mbps download and 5.7 Mbps upload in this country with this sort of infrastructure, where it took some 7 years to get the 3G in track and still we do not have it . Only player in this market is BSNL and MTNL for some 2 years with 3G, have we noticed any improvement in their service till date… have our fingers crossed and we all bandwidth hungry people still do pray God when this service will roll out and we can use it without any problem just like 2G services today..

You are absolutely right Loin King, the worst Customer care one could have ever witnessed is Reliance and BSNL, At least you can get in touch with BSNL but with Reliance it becomes to tough…

Reliance is a cheater company. They deduct your balance activating VAS from their end. Therefore I don’t recharge my account with a top-up for calling off-net. They have the worst customer care. Their network is so poor that you cant be dependant on Reliance. Still I use Reliance CDMA because of theire onnet free tariff. They have the best plan for free calling. I think they are still in market because of this plan only.

Good that they have chosen to directly go for HSPA+ (21 Mbps) and HSUPA (5.7 Mbps)…
They have won license for Kolkata circle… let’s hope they sort out the poor RGSM with 3G this time!

And also hope they stop cheating with customers. HSPA+ if deployed will be a huge boost for indian telecom sector as others will have to follow it soon. 3g growth in india will be very rapid and deployment of hspa+ will make it world standard.
