Reliance Jio To Rollout 4G Services Across India Using RCOM’s Intra-City Network

Reliance Jio Infocomm and Reliance Communications Ltd. have announced the signing of a Master Services Agreement for sharing of RCOM’s extensive intra-city optic fiber infrastructure. Under the terms of the agreement, Reliance Jio Infocomm will utilize RCOM’s nationwide intra-city fiber network for accelerated roll-out of 4G services in India.

RCOM’s intra-city optic fiber network extends to nearly 500,000 fiber pair kilometres, across the top more than 300 cities and towns in India.

This 3rd agreement further strengthens the comprehensive framework of business co-operation between Reliance Jio Infocomm and Reliance Communications, following the inter-city optic fiber sharing agreement signed in April 2013, and the nationwide telecom towers infrastructure sharing agreement signed in August 2013.

Reliance Jio is part of the “Bay Of Bengal Gateway” Cable System, planned to provide connectivity between South East Asia, South Asia and the Middle East, and also to Europe, Africa and to the Far East Asia through interconnections with other existing and newly built cable systems landing in India, the Middle East and Far East Asia.

By Comparing priscewise Reliance is the best for Kerala. In Kerala reliance have very poor network. If we go in Idukki district we cant find any fraction of network.Even most of the shops are also stopped selling recharge card of reliance.Idea and vodafone gives good strength of network so they become more popular and have more customer base.If reliance and tata concetrate in CDMA with Good network they will be the topest among all network providers in Kerala.

    useless company with useless aggrement..
    barking dogs dont bite..
    empty vessels make more noise…
yes, reliance is barking dog / empty vessel…
they will not launch any 4g until 10g is available.. they are using cheap trick of buying all spectrum and keeping it un used..
if government ask to surrender unused spectrum. then they will launch 4g in matter of hours with the price of 10g…
reliance is fraud company,,, telecom talk should avoid it.. always false hopes… never fuitful work..
reliance shames india.. kejriwal has foreseen it.. hope telecom talk also avoids it..

From a consumer perspective it has been a long wait but this news actually brought good for me today as I bought RCOM shares at Rs.127 a piece and after this news it jumped to Rs.135+ levels before settling to Rs.133.55. ;) Will carry my position. Was expecting a news today as mostly RIL has set either Monday or Friday for their announcements…
