i guees coverage should be fine coz from 3g band its just 200mhz above and in some country 4g is deployed over2600mhz more than indian band and from 3yrs reliance is lying optical fibre but in case of 3g after they got license service was provided with shity coverage but rijl has taken 3yrs so coverage should not be issue only thing is cheap device with solid specification and battery should be and one big thing that is UNLIMITED net plan if they even have problem then at least unlimted night plan may be…..
    lets see finger crossed…

2300mhz band has lesser coverage than lower frequency bands
Lower frequency =higher wavelength that travel more and penetrate more but high radiation though.

The coverage is a concern because its in 2300MHz band. We already know of the coverage in 1800 Mhz and 2100 Mhz band .

Second concern is the speed. In 4G if we are still getting like 2Mbps, then its waste.

Third concern is how high the tariffs will be. Anything above Rs 500 for 2GB will result in slow adoption to 4G.

Its really good to see that 4g customers will not have any trouble roaming across india. India is going to have a solid 4g infrastructure in coming days like that of united states.

The only thing which worries me is the frequency band on which its operating hope the coverage is going to be fine.

I think there will be few things unique in their offering – like one all India number (unlike circle wise number now) and hence roaming goes off in one stroke; bundled data cum voice plans etc

HOW COME SIR.. ROAMING WILL GO OFF, THERE WILL BE STATE /CIRCLE WISE PLAN……………. ROAMING IS THE SOURCE OF EXTRA INCOME/FUND OF OPERATORS, SO ROAMING NEVER GOES OFF LIKE WHATS HAPENING WITH 2G, 3G OPERATORS…

Hoping that this sharing of infrastructure doesn’t turn into cartelisation in the long run, competition is what brings out the best offering, if both arch rivals shake hands the common man will be at loss.

Don’t worry first one or two years we can enjoy low tariff with Reliance JIO but once they got enough customer they will close all cheap tariff plans.
