Reliance hikes its Combo Postpaid Broadband tariff

Reliance has always advertised how cheap its broadband and landline plans are (and that’s quite true as well). But in a recent move, it has quietly hiked the rates its postpaid combo Broadband tariff. On the flipside, it is providing with calling worth the hike in tariffs with a slight drop coming in the STD calling tariffs too.

The Thunder Combo 549/699 have now become Thunder Combo 649/749. The Rs 649 and Rs 749 plans get free calling worth Rs 100 in addition to the unlimited free calling to Reliance fixed lines the city. The STD tariffs have now been reduced from Re 1/minute to Re 0.80/minute.

The Thunder Combo 999 plan remains unchanged. The Thunder Combo 1199 has now had its tariff increased to Rs 1249. It earlier got a total of Rs 200 worth of free calling but it now gets free calling worth Rs 100 and unlimited free calling to local Reliance fixed lines instead. Reliance may have hiked the tariffs but if seen from a common man’s point of view, the plans still make for some really value for money plans.

I have taken Local player SITI Broadband after being a BSNL user for 3 years.Believe me,the service is simply awesome. My bandwidth is 384kbps but I get a download speed of around 60 kBps on idm and utorrent. Also, interesting point is I get around 1mB/s peering speed which at night increases to 2mBps or even more. Also I get peering speed of 300-500 kBps on IDM on many sites like songs.pk,funmaza.com and even on windows update and while downloading apps on bluestacks.
    Cost is just 680/month!
