RCOM Silently Chooses To Charge Customer Care Calls At 50p 3min

RCOM Silently Chooses To Charge Customer Care Calls At 50p 3minIt seems that as ever one is busy in rolling out 3G Services and MNP, Reliance Communications has silently started to charge for the calls made by its customers to the customer care.

From now all calls to customer care at *333 or at 30333333 will be now charged at 50p/ 3 minutes.

Still, many of the operators like Uninor, TATA Indicom, TATA DOCOMO, STel, Aircel, BSNL, MTNL, MTS, and Videocon don’t charge customers for calls made to customer care and may be really soon these operators too might charge for the same.

In the meanwhile, if you have any complaints regarding network you can call 198 which will be toll free but for all queries regarding to offers  and services you will have to call *333 or 30333333 which will be charged at 50p/3 minutes.

So what do you think, do Customer care calls need to be charged or should be free?

MNP is coming… Relaince “Ise Kahte Hain Apne Pairon Me Kulhadi Marna”

I think Reliance Telecom should change the term “Customer care” to “Customer cheater”.

Yes I too agree to the point they should improve their Services like Transparent call charges deduction procedures, Full Information Regarding all products & Services given either in their website or through a single Customer dialing # For Eg; *121# or call 121. They cannot charge the customers who call to seek information regarding their products & services.

I am using vodafone in Karnataka and I have not charged for the call made to customer care. I dial 98860 98860 to connect customer care Executive, however I have been charged to my another number which my brother hold it though I dialed the same number(98860 98860) to reach CSE. Looks they have prioritized their customer, I usually rechage more than Rs.500 per month on an average base.

Reliance customer care is i can say is the worst customer service especially GSM segment. they cheat as they want and activate packs without customer consent when customers contact them sorry sir u will be given back the amount in 24 hrs or so and then after that nothing will happen. again when u call they say u have only activated the packs and we cannot do anything.

Operators like Idea have already started charging earlier. With customer base increasing month on month, it is obvious that teh serive needs to be strengthened going forward.
With MNP & 3G services round the corner, twhat differentiates an operator will be SERVICE. If that too gets charging, then it is going to be tough times for those operators who plan to charge for delivering end customer service.

Instead of charging form the 1 sec itself, suggestion is to give some free calling to customer care every month. If any one exceeds the particular limit, then the same can be charged. Through this the objective of both operator & customer will be met.
    Thx

The very idea was started by !dea (sic) – From their logo itself it is clear that their ideas are and will always be INVERTED like sime “i”. Now – sirjee kahte hai ki bolne keyliye koyee bbaasha ke zarrorat nahi ! and lo watch his action ! (may be this is possible when 3G viedo calls comes from !diea. So much for the rotten ideas of !dea !

Generally it is a simple fact that only own customer will only ask for CARE and no one else. All others = Airtel,Aircel, Vodafone, etc. followed just like buffaloes search and fall in muddy waters. All of them DON’T CARE !! Now it is not “Simply” Reliance, Not “Happy to Help” Vodafone, etc. etc. Grin an bear it – The MNP sword is still in sheath !!!!!

End note: BSNL and MTNL what is ur !dea ? Better think twice Already out of out of coverage areas !

i agree, customer care should be free.otherwise the telcoms would be tempted to make problems for customers and then have a merry time putting them on hold and charging them for solving the problem they created in the first place.is TRAI sleeping? i upgraded reliance datacard from citiwide to nationwide plan, then went roaming to meerut.their service went dead, not even 1X there!back to delhi and it works as before.so what is the fun of paying for nationwide?their error code 678 does not explain anything to me and the customer care is busy most times.

RCOM and RNRL did not have any IPO’s for listing them on the stock exchanges. They were formed after demerging their respective shares of the conglomerate RELIANCE INDUSTRIES LIMITED. But the rest of it I agree with you 100%. RCOM had the potential to be the number one, but unfortunately Anil tried t focus too much on GSM and neglected CDMA becuase it was his brothers brain child. By the time he realized his fault, it was too late. And now neither his CDMA nor the GSM are he best in town. Call it JACK OF ALL BUT THE MASTER OF NONE. :)

Do not favor the case of charging the call to customer care.
    i call to customer care
fault in there service, bills or signal issues
    subscribing for new plan
    unsubscribing from some service
and its pathetic at times when i have to hold more then 10 mins for waiting. anyways thats a different issue altogether.
For all the customers who are misusing the cc service, i would say customer profiling should be done and according it should be charged.

The government is examining a proposal to allow virtual tickets sent to mobile phones to act as valid Electronic Reservation Slips (ERS).

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways E Ahamed in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.

Currently, a passenger is required to take a printout of an e-ticket from a computer on the basis of a confirmation message sent to his mobile phone before starting the journey or he has to pay a fine of Rs 50.

This move will simplify the ticketing procedure as people who have broadband connections do not necessarily have a printer.

The Railway is also planning to start a system of mobile ticketing for unreserved tickets. It will soon start a pilot project for the Mumbai sub-urban rail system.

The company is working to allow ticket booking through mobiles. However, the project announced during the tenure of Lalu Prasad Yadav as Railway Minister has not seen the light of day so far.

Do u guys know Anil Ambani is one of the most hated men among indian investors and traders in stock markets. Take RNRL and RCOM for example. THe IPO of these two companies generated huge interests and was highly over subscribed. Today RNRL is no more and RCOM is the biggest laggard among all telecom stocks in the market. Investors have lost 100s of crores in these companies.
Reliance is no more a company it used to be under Dhirubhai Ambani. you read the comments posted by people under Rcom and RNRL(now RPOWER)u will know their anger. Rcom mobile and internet users might lose few rs by their fraud in billing etc. But investors lost in crores.
Check out CNBC’s moneycontrol.com and read the comments under RCOM yourself
That’s why Anil Ambani is lovingly called ‘chor’.

It is new way to looting customer,
first reliance will cut your balance then when you call back to them they will make you wait for few minutes and than customer care executive will be available without any authority about deduction balance and then they will charge you for happy calling to customer care (R U SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE?)

    Thanking you for calling *

    * It will increase their income

Lol, they must be kidding!! Their pathetic customer care executives dont know even the ABCD of telecom especially GPRS/internet related queries. Any person with ordinary prudence will never call them in order to ask internet related queries. BSNL/Reliance/Docomo have the worst customer care!! Instead of looting people through extraterrestrial cospiratorial plans, they must concentrate on improving the negotiation/communication skills and professional knowledge of their essentially worthless customer care representatives.

Calls to Customer Care should of course be free.

But please note that, Airtel does charge calls to it’s Customer Care for the duration you talk to the Executive.

Services are available on short sms with some *numbers# service.
So if people still want to know more then the service getting charged is OK.
But now a days all information is readily available on internet and the top site to get this service information is TelecomTalk.info
