After Apple released 64-bit processor based iPhone 5S to everyone's surprise, Qualcomm felt like it was on the backfoot in the mobile processor market, so much so that it hit them in the gut and they were totally unprepared for it. back then, Qualcomm's CMO Anand Chandrashekhar went on to say that 64-bit processor is a gimmick. But yesterday, Qualcomm has finally unveiled its first high-end 64-bit mobile processors (also called as SoC - System on a Chip); the Snapdragon 808 and the Snapdragon 810.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 810
This is the top of the line ARM v8-A based SoC from Qualcomm which features an octa-core CPU based on ARM's big.LITTLE technology.
