In a bid to leverage the cricket mania during the DLF IPL season-3, India’s largest GSM Mobile service operator Bharti Aitel launched the Indian Fantasy League(IFL) Online Cricket game in association with TIMES Group.

IFL the fantasy Online Cricket game conducting along with IPL matches any one can select players for his/her team and win prizes. Whenever they can select players play well in real IPL and the fantasy team gets points. It is completely free and fun. The registration of teams starts from 12th Mar 2010 to 25th Apr 2010.

Here is the bad news for Mobile Service users who are waiting for the Mobile Number Portability (MNP). India has pushed the implementation of MNP across all the telecom circles to a delay of some more months from the earlier deadline of March 31, 2010.

The Government of India would soon announce the new deadline for implementation of MNP. The revised time line will be announced after ascertaining the status from all the stakeholders and reasonable time required for Acceptance Testing etc., so that no network problem in call processing/completion, surfaces out after MNP Services are launched.

The MNP shall allow mobile subscribers to retain their existing mobile number when they switch from one access service provider to another irrespective of mobile technology or from one technology to another of the same or any other access service provider within same service area. Read more…

State-owned telecom operator operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today launched its much awaited 3G GSM mobile services in business city Vijayawada, Guntur, Prakasam and Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh telecom circle. BSNL 3G services allow telecom operators to offer Video calls, high-speed Internet with speed Up to 3.1 Mbps, High Quality Multimedia services. It also supports global roaming and live mobile TV facility.

Mr. Sudhindra Kumar, CGM BSNL Aandhra Pradesh Circle said that the BSNL 3G Network is ready in 29 Cities/Towns across the state and we will roll out the commercial services in all districts by the end of this month. The existing BSNL 2G prepaid mobile subscribers can migrate to 3G services just by one SMS “M3G120” to 53733 while Postpaid 2G subscriber need to send M3G25 to 53733. Read more…

If Airtel is following Reliance’s footstep by introducing same offer to all circles, to become truly ‘Pan India’ Airtel has lot to go. Airtel’s plan costs are different in different circles and comparatively costly. Reliance’s night Own-net pack offers unlimited local calling within Reliance network at just Rs 33. Airtel is still costly for love birds ! ; However RCom GSM network and indoor coverage are not good  compare to Airtel.
