Now Call Vodafone Customer Care At 50p/3minHave you ever thought of paying for talking to a CUSTOMER CARE executive?

First Airtel, then Loop Mobile and now Vodafone Essar, India’s 2nd Largest GSM operator today  issued a notice to its subscribers regarding applicable CALL-CHARGES when you call them for inquires.

The Government’s directive to telecom companies while giving out licences explicitly stated customer service calls should be TOLL-FREE. This directive hasn’t changed — the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has not yet approved the companies’ request to charge subscribers for their calls to CUSTOMER CARE

But the freebies are  gradually disappearing as Super-competition is driving down mobile operators’ profits and ARPUs (Average Revenue Per User).

Taking into the consideration about the customer disenchantment, some companies have brought in clarity between complaint and query in the IVR a Vodafone Essar spokesperson said and i quote, “We changed our IVR system very recently. If you call 111, the IVR will ask whether you want to register a complaint or do something else. If it’s a complaint, the caller will be asked to terminate the call and dial 198, which is toll free. But if you need to talk to an agent, a message will tell you that the call will be charged at 50p for three minutes.”

    I am trying to contact Vodafone customer care officer for the last five days. But sorry to say that I am unable to get in touch with them. I have to wait for long listening to their offers which are all rubbish and of no use of mine. My main intention is to get in touch with the customer care officer. That purpose is not served. I think that Vodafone has made the policy not to talk to the customers. Their customer care officers may be busy with other work than to attend the customers. I would suggest that Vodafone should withdraw their so called customer care. Moreover, Vodafone should be kicked in their back and thrown out of India for their nasty service.

    ohh brother!!! what can I say. vodafone givea u perfect justice to the word “fed up”.doesn’t it sound crazy that ive bee trying to talk to a service rep for the last 15 days (pity me). just got shifted from airtel to vodafone. the first is bad and the later is the worst. when I call cx care, the call jus goes on looping. the IVR (with due respect) asks me to press 9 to talk to a rep and when I do that it loops back to the rotein slogans of their offers (which I think are not that worthy). so the moral of the story is a companie’s reputation comes into picture with the way it deals with dissappointed customers not with the happy ones tho. cheers! gotta find a nearest airtel store. surprise!!!! gonna switch back to bharti airtel. mera bhaarat mahaan (not some foreign networks)

    Vodafone is blood sucking company. This month I recharged my data card for value of Rs. 1255, they say it is 3G. but this bloody company’s internet speed is just 100kbps – 150kbps. When I tried to call customer care at complaint number 198, the bastard cc told me to call 111, on 111 there is only IVRS there is no customer care connection. Finally she transferred my call to senior who was also leader of duffer. He told me that I am using Micromex device there Vodafone has no commitment and asked me to call Micromex. Now who will tell that duffer that my ISP is Vodafone or Micromex and service was suddenly withdrawn after using 8 days and only 1 GB data was used out of 10 GB. So in one word. All telecom companies are sucking our money and blood. Nobody care of its customers. Phone and internet are necessity of every person and they take benefit of it. Think about those innocent and poor people who do not know much about technology and these bloody bastard sucks money in the name of value added services; ringtones etc etc. I have seen many people who suffers like this and nobody care.

    I think we should choose only Govt Companies over these private companies. But problems are every where

    Contacting customer care officer of vodafone is very difficult like buying new sim in recent times with lots of regulation ! Its not happy to help ! Vodafone new system of voice related option selection makes much difficult to contact any cc !

    Hi, I was annoyed by the vodafone customer care service number(111).Even it is not asking the preferred language it is getting in Tamil only.If it is so,how can non-tamilians understand that.I faced this problem so many times.Everytime we have to ask others who knows Tamil to talk with CustomerCare which is really a big issue.Please consider it and provide preferred language option so that everyone can use this effectively

    dear friends, Vodafone is best cheater in the mobile service . Plans are worst in Tamil Nadu, There is no full talk time offer below 333 rupees and without any notifications they are changing their plans and schemes which is offering to us. Mainly Vodafone Customer care is not accessible by all. I think Vodafone closed their Customer care service to uneducated and ordinary peoples. Their only motive earn money( sorry to say this sucking all customer’s blood).
    If u can go for alternate…..

    Every alternative days I am facing the problem, that is I am not able to send the messages. Every time I have to call up to customer care and the I should repeat my concern and they will ask every time “HOW MUCH BALANCE U HAVE? If you have negative balance then pls maintain the minimum balance”, “WE WILL GIVE MESSAGE SETTINGS PLS DO SETTING IN YOUR MOBILE”, “please do switch off and switch on your mobile”, “IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO SEND SMS AFTER SWITCH OFF AND SWITCH ON ALSO THEN PLEASE CHANGE YOUR HAND SET”.

    After all these drama, at last call(4th call of the day) they used to tell “We are taking the complaint and this will get rectify in next 24 hours, till then please wait”.

    If I tell to escalate the call to his supervisor or his higher authority then thy will keep the call in hold for more then 20 minutes and they will disconnect it (after 30 minutes only the call will get disconnect automatically but VODAFONE CSAs will disconnect the call, which was in hold, that too before 30 minutes itself).

    This is Sachin working as a community manager and i am using vodafone prepaid last 2 year(ncr) but from the last couple of months i am facing a much problem of network. Due to that i am not able to talk to anybody anywhere and i have already launched a complain with the same issue and there was an executive visit to that premises for the resolution but no benefit it it still the same problem happing.

    You just browse the menu and services get activated automatically.
    I tried this more than 100 times and result was same.

    I tried this and everytime they activate caller tune just after browsing only. What a rubbish service?

    I am really fedup with the way Vodafone Customer Care works. When we call 198 and select the option as per our queries. Voice Message comes like we are Happy to help. But frankly speaking just for name sake these people say Happy to help customers. The problem is when I receive the call, i am not able to view the numbers and only the word call is appearing. Then i called customer care, they told me that i have not submitted the proof required.But I have submitted my proof in Vodafone Centre which is located at Mulund West near Nirmal Life Style on 26 th September 2010 for which there is no acknowledgement which is the worst part. I have been calling many times but still they have not rectified the problem. Just they promise casually , we will rectify in 4 hours as you have submitted the documents properly.

When I ring to customer care they replied the annoucement would be removed within 48 hours but it is continue till date. Please look into the matter & remove announcement as I have already submitted my proof document at your vodafone store on above said date. Hope you will take neccesary action.

    By charging for customer care calls, they are making customers fool. They are working against customer rights…Thie Airtel, Vodafone, Idea etc…are day by day decreasing their customer services and soon will be out from Market with very low market share…When we are at fault they change anything and when they are at fault they only replied SORRY its our policy or just we need to launch complain and wait for their resolution like a fool.

    Now its time to answer them…Dont call to customer care. Whenever we have a problem then move to nearest customer care offices…let their customer care be rushed with so many customers and make them to have more employees to handle customers at their offices…

Soon Airtel,Vodafone,Idea the leading GSM Operators in India will come to the bottom end service provider in India.In Kerala If Airtel,Vodafone,Idea customers calls customer care for registering a Concern it’s chargeable. Truly unfair.This is been implemented all over India by making fool of customers by the help of TRAI. Since every one knows the MNP (Mobile Number Portability) is not yet started implementing as the discussions goes no where about last 2 years. But the telecom players and the TRAI began acting against the basic customer rights?? Just think Do you pay any show room guys or representative to try demonstrating about the any of the Products??? This is as simple as saying for registering our own service Concern is chargeable for you….. . They are fooling up the customers and making money in unethical way. Till now Tata Docomo and reliance not charging for the customer care calls. They straightly says like We are not ready to punish the customers..     Methods to do achieve our customer goals are

    1) Dont allow them to promote their offers by sms or any means by sending an SMS START DND to 1909

    2)Please don’t activate any of their Services like Missed Call Alert (This is free in Docomo & some Networks)

    3)Please deactivate the Caller tune service they offer

    6) De motivate all the options where they can make money by fooling customers

    The telecom regulator Of India planing to meet the two telecom industry bodies next week — Cellular Operators Association of India and the Association of Unified Service Providers of India — over a demand by the industry that they be allowed to charge subscribers for calls made to customer care . At present, all calls made to the customer care are free.

    “Operators have told us that a significant majority of calls that mobile users make to customer care are for enquiry purposes, and not related to grievances. Since running these call centres and offering customer care involves a huge cost, they want consumers to pay for this service, ”

    But Trai officials are divided on the demand by telcos. “We do not have any mechanism to determine if a call to the customer is for a complaint, enquiry or for other purpose. Interpretations can vary. We want to give telcos a hearing on this issue, ” another Trai official added.

    The Trai is also planning to Close the Do-Not-Call (DNC) registry, as this has failed its purpose of ensuring that telemarketers do not make unsolicited calls or send SMSs to those enlisted in the DNC. Instead, the regulator plans to explore the option of setting up a ‘Do-Call’ registry, where only registered users would be called by telemarketing firms.

    When I asked the customer care executive about the 50paise/3min thing they said it was a government directive to do so.now the article above says it is the move of the cellular companies.

    If TRAI cant control the cellular companies,why should something like TRAI exist eating away the tax-payers’ money.

    wat is happening? I was shocked when I tried to call a CC for a serious issue regarding the service provided by them. I had no other option to disconnect the call since they charge 0.50 per 3 minute. This is totally unfait and even if you go to the service provider showroom to make a complaint they do not understand our concern and try to put the blame on us as if we did something wrong.
    I request everyone to post their strong comments against this so that the service provider gives free service.

    WHO ACTUALLY GAVE THIS IDEA?? In 10years from now this 0.50 paise how much? Can anyone guess??? I guess we will be paying our salary to them because of this… :((

    shocking permission by trai. n customers paying for what? getting info abt operators!
    so if customers’ query to know abt new schemes, etc. operators vl charge them. ie paying to know or listen to their ad!!!!!!
    any1 heard anywhere that operators charge customers to publicise their schemes? plz revert back to old schemes of toll free. plz comment frnds.

    this is the worst news a customer can get from their service provider, what the hell is the TRAI doing? in most of the case the problem will only be caused by the operator why the hell should the customer be charged for the mistake he didn’t do?

    yesterday i had called idea customer care(karnataka circle) but later came to know tat idea is t biggest cheater, big sucker. as soon as i pressed 9(to connect ccperson) it started to play its bakwas song & saying idea is karnatakas fastest growing network… even after waiting for 5 mins of waiting i was not connected to cc agent, ltr i got bugged up & ended cal & i was charged for 1re.. seriously these ppl purpsly wont receive calls & it was told tat amount ll be charged only after agent is connected but idea is breaking all rules. before when calls were free cc agent used to pick up withn 15seconds but now purpsly tey won pick up… in tis case i really appreciate airtel, i was connected withn 10seconds… idea ur as cheap as ur network is…

    Further once MNP comes into picture this will become more n more complex as compnies may not want to loose the customers.
