BSNL should take this opportunity with both hands and try to get maximum share there by offering lower tariffs
Jigme Vanchook December 17, 2009 at 2:11 pm
most of all border area’s network covered by Airtel and BSNL only other service provider are just name sake or just for big cities only,now airtel black out its service as they had problem of payments with tower site owners so now bsnl is only option
Saptarshi Roy December 17, 2009 at 2:02 pm
Finally, Idea Cellular Limited overtakes BSNL in terms of cellular subscribers.
kaushik December 17, 2009 at 2:02 pm
@Jigme Vanchook
why only BSNL? why not other like Vodafone,RGSM,AIRCEL
Debopratim Roy December 17, 2009 at 1:21 pm
@Jigme Vanchook
Having largest customer base(Airtel) doesnt mean that they are the leading operator in India..Its the overall satitsfaction and qulaity of service matters which makes the mobile operator well accepted by people!! Thats why BSNL& MTNL stands tall even when others fail to deliver…Cause they serve wherever we dare to go!!
Jigme Vanchook December 17, 2009 at 12:49 pm
In Manipur airtel breakdown and no network or service from last 15 days,BSNL taking full advantage of the breakdown of Airtel service because only bsnl is option for mobility, BSNL has issued more than 500 prepaid SIM cards in three days.Airtel blacked out its service since past many weeks with some problems with its mobile tower paymenst which in turn gave numerous problems to the airtel customers.BSNL alone will be able to provide service in all border area of Maniipur like Ukhrul and all other area.

Tata Docomo gross added figure is not reflecting.

Government of India must put strict guidelines for new connection. Bulk of the new connection don’t stay on the network for more than a month.
So one should not be happy with the figures flashed by telecom companies. If government impose a tax of Rs 25 per connection, the numbers will falls substantially.

Hallabol December 16, 2009 at 10:56 pm
Idea have very good network in Kolkata at launch time. I am Barasat getting full tower even at ground floor of my home.But DOCOMO who have launched before Idea don’t have single tower at even 2nd floor of my home.Docomo is the worst service operator here.

Agnivo December 16, 2009 at 4:44 pm

@Prasath J,This is only gsm figures. then how u can see tata indicom(cdma). as per the tata docomo (gsm) they not update figure till date to COAI.
as you see reliance telecom (gsm) not reliance infocom(cdma). so u do not find out MTS, RCDMA, TATA INDICOM, SPICE now IDEA.
atanu December 16, 2009 at 2:56 pm
@Prasath J
Read carefully before commenting,
this is only GSM Subscribers. here see you Reliance Telecom not Reliance Infocom(CDMA). so how can u see tata indicom?
as per the tata docomo(GSM) if they not update their data base to COAI. How could you find?
kaushik December 16, 2009 at 2:54 pm
@SUMAN PATRA
SPICE become IDEA in Punjab and Karnataka
kaushik December 16, 2009 at 2:37 pm
@srija

SUMAN PATRA December 16, 2009 at 2:24 pm
MTS AND SPICE ALSO MISSING……
SUMAN December 16, 2009 at 2:20 pm
@Prasath J
PITY YOU.
Prasath J December 16, 2009 at 2:06 pm
Good Joke… Out of the 100% market share, DOCOMO+Indicom is not even 0.01%
May be, this is the list of the total number of fake activations, so Docomo is missing and Reliance has very low subscriber figures…
Devraj December 16, 2009 at 2:00 pm
@Anuj
It is due to Idea’s 40 Paisa per minute plan
Devraj December 16, 2009 at 1:57 pm
Should be calculated including CDMA
Mithun December 16, 2009 at 1:52 pm
Airtel premi khush huaaa (mogmabo khush huaa)
Anuj December 16, 2009 at 1:52 pm
Airtel’s total base is now 116.01 Mn & not 106.01 Mn. Its mentioned correctly in chart but mistake is there in article.
BTW, I am impressed by Idea’s performance.
Mithun December 16, 2009 at 1:51 pm
Docomo feel shy to share to share GSM subscriber base so they did not disclose it
?)
kaushik December 16, 2009 at 1:49 pm
IDEA beats BSNL
Ram December 16, 2009 at 1:43 pm
Tota DOCOMO missing in the list
