In an endeavorer to provide relevant and accurate information on agriculture and educational services direct to the Mobile Phone users in rural and semi-urban India, World’s leading mobile phone maker Nokia join hands with Tata Docomo, the GSM mobile service brand of Tata Teleservices to offer Nokia Ovi Life Tools.
Nokia India today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tata Docomo to offer Ovi Life Tools specifically created for the emerging markets to plug information gaps in the areas of agriculture, education and entertainment.
Tata Docomo and Nokia combine would provide access to Nokia Life Tool service which will be available via SMS, USSD, GPRS and STK, wherein, the SMS can be availed through a short code 55555.
Nokia Life Tools includes three main services, namely Agriculture Services, Education Services and Entertainment Services. The Nokia Life Tools Agriculture service is available in two options a basic plan, which features daily weather updates and relevant agriculture-related news, as well as advice and tips, for only Rs 30/month.
While a premium plan provides weather, news, advice and tips along with the closest market prices for three crops a subscriber chooses, and which costs Rs 60/month. Nokia Life Tools supports 11 Indian languages of Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Oriya and English.
Speaking on the new initiative,Mr.V Ramnath, Director, Operator Accounts, Nokia India said “We are confident that the agreement will strengthen the network and help the rural and semi-urban community by providing relevant and accurate decision critical information to subscribers. For this service to scale and benefit larger section of users, it is important to have partners like Tata Docomo who share Nokia’s vision of empowering people with the right tools.
Mr.Gurinder Singh Sandhu, Head Marketing, Tata Docomo stated Both agriculture and educational services on mobile are life assisting services which will act as powerful enablers in helping people earn their living.

Even i hav faces this prob with docomo but they din refund me so i lost Rs.120 but in case with airtel they hav a very good cust support…. I hav faced this prob twice with airtel also they refunded me both the time…..

Hey Emad,
I think you really deserve to be known as a stupid customer of tata docomo.. I think your life is big problem which nobody can solve. There is innovation happening in tata docomo’s service like online chat service for the customers and you are the exception for such service with your reactions like throwing sim card which will never solve your problem. If you switch to any other mobile service provider n if u face some technical issues you will throw another sim card and then you will spread negative viral messages…

Not raigad district, in maharashtra !!!! They do not have proper network. ironically they their call centre personnel harass the subscriber in the name of verification. No signals in many place. I am staying very near to New PAnvel hardly 400 meters away from the city, still no network. Repeated complaints elicit same reply ” work in progress”

i m unable to tell my so long stories here as i written before !! in short keep in mind that docomo is not a trustable brand no care for customers their and offers are only to increase customers and after achieving target they snatch back their attractive toys
ah how do i tell my pain which docomo given me they many times eaten my bal by forcely activated VAS and did not refunded. they never hear customers if customer tells about wrong billing
