Nokia Adjudged India’s Most Trusted Brand for Third Year in Row

World’s leading handset player Nokia has been ranked No.1 in The Economic Times-Brand Equity’s annual ‘Most Trusted Brands’ survey for 2010 in India, marking Nokia’s recognition as India’s most trusted brand for three consecutive years. Nokia has appeared in the survey since 2005, and has held the first position in 2008, 2009 and now, 2010.

Nokia’s leadership rating over the years in this survey is also an indicator of the dramatic impact mobility has on India’s consumers over the years. India has been among the fastest growing telecom markets in the world with an estimated current mobile subscriber base in excess of 670 million subscribers.

“Nokia has always been a consumer-centric company and a consumer award for ‘trust’ is the pinnacle of all awards. This award is a testament to our team’s deep focus and determined efforts to better understand the needs of the evolving Indian consumer and connect with them. Our initiatives for India – ranging from ‘made in India, made for India’ handsets, services such as Nokia Life Tools and extensive retail and care networks – are a proof of the fact that we are continuously striving to make a positive impact on the lives of our consumers,” said D. Shivakumar, Managing Director, Nokia India Pvt. Ltd.

The award marks the celebration of 15 years of mobility and Nokia in India. The first mobile phone call was made on a Nokia phone using Nokia network on July 31, 1995.

Brand Equity’s ‘Most Trusted Brands’ survey judges 300 brands from consumer products and services. Consumers across 13 Indian cities evaluate the brand on seven key attributes.

Whats the process of getting this extended warranty ?

Just go to your nearest Nokia Care (with buying receipt) & ask for extended warranty service. The price amt depend on your Mobile handset (low-end or high-end).
Example- Nokia 2323 extended warranty amt Rs.140 for 1 year.
In case of Nokia 5800 you pay Rs.512 for 2 years.
I have ask them it’s a limited period offer you can avail this as soon as possible.
The extended warranty period starts just after handset original warranty period end.

In that case it has nothing to do with Nokia in particular. I’m sure the extended warranty can be had for any other brand.

Samsung’s rank is 54??so what are the other brands between 2 to 53??micromax,zen,karboon???haa haa haa.great joke of the year.

Brand Equity Survey is the most popular survey done by Brand Equity (Times of India Group). Every year they survey among all the brands (like mobile phones to FMCG products, Home care products, Best service sector etc).Every year they publish 100 product list. The survey done through asking some question. Their target group of people age between 15-25 & 26-45 years.
    This year top 10 brands are-1.Nokia Mobile Phones, 2.Colgate, 3.Lux, 4.Dettol, 5.Britannia, 6.Lifebouy, 7.Clinic Plus, 8.Ponds, 9.Fair & Lovely, 10.Pepsodent.
So in 100 brands Samsung Mobile Phone rank 54. Don’t think about crap Chinese phones. People of India can’t trust in this products.

If this is the real procedure then it’s acceptable. Thanks dude for this information.

Nokia and consumer centric? Hehe!! Economic times is dishing out rubbish. Well, they offloaded a dud mobile which was faulty out of the box, and refused to change it no matter what… even though after 3 repair attempts their service center was unable to fix it.

Nokia may have been good in the past. It neither has the quality nor reliability nor design going for it now.

While buying a new phone, one prefers nokia not only because of their reputation but also because of their good customer support, good platform(for smartphones numerous software support) & above all ease of handling. Nokia means simplicity. So keep up doing good jobs guys, we expect a lot more from you & congrats for this achievement.

Nokia’s new home Nokia service centre in every 6 month.. Nokia now fails to maintain its quality. Nokia connecting old people… As only old people will be atracted to it.. Samsung & Sony Ericsson are popular among youths now.. Nokia is a bomb it can explode at any time. Sometimes its phone explode & sometimes its charger.. People carying Nokia phone are at risk of life.
    Nokia – connecting bombs..
