vinay February 16, 2011 at 11:55 am
My ADVICE IS TO USE “INTERNET DOWNLOAD MANAGER” FOR ALL UR DOWNLOADS WHICH INCREASES SPEED TO A MINIMUM OF 15KB/SEC-40kb/sec.[DOUBLE]…ALSO USE NETWORKACC (network accelerator software) for ur mobile and “INTERNET CYCLONE(to computer)”
go to torrentz.com,onesymbian.com to get these softwares.
I HAVE INCREASED MY SPEED USING THESE SOFTWARES.
THANK YOU.
tushar k. February 7, 2011 at 10:19 pm
i am speaking abt govandi area in mumbai city
tushar k. February 7, 2011 at 10:17 pm
i like docomo gprs service but due to fair prices of gprs, popularity of docomo is increasing day by day hence the quality and speed is not as good as it was in past. docomo should review this.
here we cannot access youtube videos nowadays
ravi February 3, 2011 at 6:49 pm
very bad in last year 2010 docomo offered 48rs for 2gb now it cuts to only 1gb not very speed i have used it on nokia expressic music touch screen version it’s very bad it cuts in sms pack also 11rs per 1month validity now cuts to just 15 days validity
Prashant February 3, 2011 at 6:24 pm
gprs of rs.48 is very speed
gagan January 30, 2011 at 7:51 pm
in 149rs docomo provides less data
Huxley Dcruz January 30, 2011 at 11:28 am
TATADOCOMO could offer also offer more MONTHLY plans with 30 days VALIDITY.
They could cancel the the Complicated Pay Per Site Plans and instead offer the below given Plans
100MB Data @Rs10 with 30 days Validity
500MB Data @Rs25 with 30 days Validity
Farhan Ghumra January 30, 2011 at 7:54 am
is the plan 200 for 15 GB in DoCoMo still exist or not ???
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR January 29, 2011 at 9:11 pm
@Amit.G I.E. Uninor is a Great Player in Norway But In India it’s just a Small Player
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR January 29, 2011 at 9:08 pm
See What You Have Told is Somewhat Right. Uninor is Dead Opposite to Aircel coz they Improved The Quality of The Network But Not Coverage. And Coming to The Part of Aircel It’s Internet Speed is Bad But Coverage is Good. See Don’t Compare a Little King Cobra With The Great King Cobra i.e. Uninor With Aircel
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR January 29, 2011 at 8:13 pm
@Amit.G
Ya I SomeWhat Agree With You. Aircel is Worst Gprs Service Provider. But Connectivity is Good and SMS Delivers Instantly to All Numbers.
Rudradeep January 29, 2011 at 6:38 pm
Grab Virgin GSM – Rs 44 for 2GB for 30 days…. netwrk is same of Tata Docomo!
ravi January 29, 2011 at 6:30 pm
it’s a waste plans from docomo earlier it offered 48 for 2gb but now it only offers 1gb very bad it’s just a waste of time
nihit jain January 29, 2011 at 4:23 pm
does ne1 know bout docomo delhi launch??????
please m restless for docomo
Vicky January 29, 2011 at 3:38 pm
Thanks bro
in tamilnadu vodafone gives atleast 15kB/S throughout all areas
others like airtel aircel they dont offer edge speed in small cities and towns eventhough it shows edge symbol
Reliance and docomo offers best speed all areas but lot of fluctuation
bsnl ,uninor some what better than airtel and aircel
Amit.G January 29, 2011 at 1:12 pm
@ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR
But aircel’s gprs speed sucks in north karnataka ecpecially in hubli… u will not get more than 2kB/S. docomo offers superb speed n even uninor n idea are good…
DONT MEASURE AN OPERATOR’S NETWORK ONLY WITH COVERAGE, EVEN CLARITY, CONNECTIVITY, RESPONSE TO CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS N GPRS MATTERS!!!!IN RESPONSE N GPRS AIRCEL LAGS BEHIND.
Raghu January 29, 2011 at 1:01 pm
@Manoj Abhigyan
ok thanks .
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR January 29, 2011 at 12:48 pm
LEAVE OUT REST PART OF KARNATAKA, AS AIRCEL IS DEPLOYING BTS IN EACH AND EVERY DISTRICTS OF KARNATAKA AND IN BANGALORE ALL THE 6 ABOVE OPERATORS WHICH ARE MENTIONED ABOVE ARE HAVING GOOD COVERAGE IN BANGALORE EVEN IN ANY PART OF BANGALORE LIKE KORAMANGALA, BOMMANAHALLI, TALAGHATTAPURA, KAGGALIPURA, SOMANAHALLI,JAMBUSAVARIDINNE AIRCEL IS HAVING A GOOD COVERAGE AS PER THE INFORMATION GIVEN BY YOU IN THE LAST YEAR THAT AIRCEL SIGNAL IS NOT AVAILABLE IN MALLESHWARAM. DUDE I WENT TO MALLESHWARAM AND I FOUND AIRCEL IS ALSO AVAILABLE IN MALLESHWARAM CIRCLE @Amit.G
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR January 29, 2011 at 12:42 pm
DUDE RELIANCE IS HAVING WORST QUALITY NETWORK IN KARNATAKA. BETTER IS TO OPT FOR THE BEST SERVICE PROVIDERS OF KARNATAKA I.E. AIRTEL @Raghu
Manoj Abhigyan January 29, 2011 at 12:37 pm
I’ve posted earlier for December 2010 and will post soon for January 2011.
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR January 29, 2011 at 12:29 pm
@Amit.G
OK!BUT NOWADAYS AIRCEL IS IMPROVING IT’S COVERAGE SO THAT’S WHY I’VE ADDED. BUT WHEN COMPARING TO UNINOR AIRCEL IS HAVING MUCH BETTER COVERAGE IN KARNATAKA

Finally freedom from Airtel, Thanks to MNP, i switch my kerala Airtel to Docomo.
They offers me D2D 1ps/6sec and 100 sms/day with 1st sms 60ps and all other calls per second.
Raghu January 29, 2011 at 11:55 am
@Manoj Abhigyan
what abt operators in your area?
Raghu January 29, 2011 at 11:55 am
@Manoj Abhigyan
Reliance is the worst in Karnataka as per Mr Arjun
Amit.G January 29, 2011 at 11:48 am
@ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR
Remove aircel from good coverage list bcos even its coverage is not good when compared with docomo
Manoj Abhigyan January 29, 2011 at 11:28 am
What about Reliance ARJUN?
hariprasad January 29, 2011 at 8:52 am
Thank you…
Arup January 29, 2011 at 8:02 am
hello friends!myself from kolkata.according to me DOCOMO is the best.I get 30-40 kbps speed any time in normal 2g connection.I see live video without buffering.but there are small problem between 9 p.m to 11.30 p.m.not only kolkata,but also bankura,bishnupur I get the same speed.I am using nokia c5.
DOCOMO rockz.
ARJUN CHANDRASHEKAR January 29, 2011 at 7:43 am
@Fahad
In Karnataka Only 6 Operators are Having Good Coverage i.e. 1.AIRTEL
2.VODAFONE
3.IDEA
4.BSNL
5.AIRCEL
6. TATA DOCOMO
AND OTHER 3 OPERATORS ARE WORST
1.UNINOR
2.VIDEOCON
3.ETISALAT
Amit.G January 29, 2011 at 6:32 am
@Vicky
GPRS of uninor is good in few areas, In hubli gprs is worst @ my place(4KB/S) where as it gives 15KB/S in other areas, in bangalore uninor offers upto 22KB/SEC @ my place where as in other areas like BTM layout it gives only 8KB/SEC. so uninor’s speed is not uniform throught state, but overall it offers good speed compared to Airtel and vodafone
Vicky January 29, 2011 at 2:48 am
@Amit.G
So uninor gives better indoor coverage good one
What about their gprs speed compare wit vodafone and docomo?
MA January 29, 2011 at 12:47 am
people who are facing issues can mail to social@tatadocomomarketing.com or use the chat support http://bit.ly/24x7LiveChatSupport . trust guys, the above 2 methods I have said here are the best compared to calling customer case. Personal Experience.
Amit.G January 29, 2011 at 12:44 am
@vicky
uninor uses ADOPTIVE MULTIPLE RATE technology. It is very helpful in offering stable signal. AMR technology makes 1800mhz band to perform like 900mhz band( 70%) in terms of signal penetration. EG: At my home vodafone(1800mhz) tower is just 200meters away, uninor’s tower is almost 700metrs n airtel(900mhz) is 1km away.
Vodafone signal come down to 2 point when i go to corner n uninor signal will be 1point, Airtel will become zero at the same place.
Raghu January 29, 2011 at 12:24 am
well done Tata
Vicky January 28, 2011 at 11:48 pm
@Gourab
ya vodafone gives decent stable speed everywhere
others depend upon the cities we live
amar January 28, 2011 at 11:38 pm
I am also facing same problem, every time l call cc then they give my money back and after few days,the problem occurs again.
Fahad January 28, 2011 at 11:25 pm

Call the CC again and register a complaint with them to deactivate whatever services activated in your account and get the complaint number. Confirm with them when the service get deactivated and wait till that time (approx. 3 days).
If the VAS not deactivated within the stipulated time period, then you will send a strong mail to cc and nodal officer mentioning the complaint number for inaction against your complaint. Press them to refund the money, which deducted from your a/c regarding VAS, which you never activated.
Send an SMS to 1909 as “Start DND” to activate the Do not Disturb service. It will help you in future.

Vicky January 28, 2011 at 8:03 pm

Keshav Jha January 28, 2011 at 7:31 pm

Vicky January 28, 2011 at 7:23 pm

som January 28, 2011 at 6:30 pm
65 is the correct option;but is it true that tata reduces speed in 2g after launching of 3g?
Pankaj January 28, 2011 at 6:20 pm

Avinash M January 28, 2011 at 6:10 pm

AT normal GPRS phone you’ll get max download speed of 53.6 kbps (Note that its bits/sec).
AT EDGE phone you’ll get max download speed of 236.8 kbps (Note that its bits/sec).
hariprasad January 28, 2011 at 5:56 pm
my mobile is karbonn k550 and am using docomo for gprs and i get around 8-10kbps as download speed…
hariprasad January 28, 2011 at 5:53 pm
whats the maximum gprs speed that we get on non-edge phone?? and also edge phone???
Avinash M January 28, 2011 at 5:51 pm
Technically speaking, Tata DoCoMo has capped GPRS/EDGE speed at only 128 Kbps (max of 16 KBps). The speed limit was set after the launch of their 3G service. Before 3G launch the speed was at 256 Kbps ( 30 KBps) EDGE speed.
Gourav January 28, 2011 at 5:30 pm
48/- pack not available in haryana & the indoor coverage is very poor in my area..
ANIRBAN January 28, 2011 at 5:30 pm

plan is better but speed is max 19kB/s
Normal 8 or 9kB/s only
while m in main city n receiving good signal.
manas January 28, 2011 at 2:38 pm
ekan minimum speed kato dichhe seta bole deoa darkar
Abhijit January 28, 2011 at 2:37 pm
As mentioned in post free usage in above pack is applicable in your home circle.. So if Maharashtra Docomo user who opts above pack and goes in Andhra Pradesh circle and chooses Docomo network then also free GPRS usage will not work from there?? then it will be worst…
BSNL is best then free Gprs usage can be availed from roaming BSNL network also..
jack January 28, 2011 at 2:32 pm
I’m not getting good speed…docomo don’t have good coverage and in docomo’s case you can not send/receive data without getting range…i think they need to upgrade there towers…plans are good but they are not useful w/o good coverage…
Amit.G January 28, 2011 at 2:18 pm
TATA DOCOMO’S 95PACK ROCKS!!!!
Mahmood Junaid January 28, 2011 at 2:11 pm

recently vodafone is offering 6GB for 98rs in hyderabad….m getting atleast one sms daily from vodafone. I intend to move out of vodafone shortly!!…waiting for other operators apart form BSNL to launch 3G here. Btb 3G on BSNL has been a wonderful experience for me till date!!
santosh January 28, 2011 at 1:42 pm
if anybody using these plans on phone then these are enough for light users…….but if anyone uses it on PC then he/she will cap……………..but still the offers are good comparing to light GPRS pack.
Manoj Abhigyan January 28, 2011 at 1:38 pm
Rs.33 GPRS pack is from 11 am to 7 am as mentioned in post or 11 pm to 7 am?
A Mohapatra January 28, 2011 at 1:33 pm
Sorry, it’s ‘at par’ and not ‘at pat’.
A Mohapatra January 28, 2011 at 1:32 pm
I found that voice and sms services of TATA Docomo are not at pat with BSNL and Airtel – the Best operators of Orissa. But GPRS speed of Docomo is the Best and outstanding. While Airtel is giving 30-50 kbps over EDGE & BSNL Mobile gives 50-70 kbps Docomo gives a whooping 140-180 kbps speeds.
Please note that, all speed tests were done using my Nokia 5800XpressMusic in GSM Mode.
jitendra January 28, 2011 at 1:28 pm
Its old news. Thanks for the info. Thanks to TATA for not reducing the free data usage.
