Mumbai based mobile software development group Mobile 4 Mumbai has announced the launch of MumbaiAuto (Mobile Application) to provide AutoRickshaw passengers and drivers with the latest Autorickshaw Fares on their mobiles without any connectivity.
The unique technology developed does not require GPRS (web / internet on mobile) or SMS. It is designed in such a way that it will serve to majority of people in Mumbai. Mobile 4 Mumbai works on any Java enabled phone which may range from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 25,000.
While announcing the application availability, Saumil Parekh (from Mobile 4 Mumbai) believes this mobile application will help all mumbaikars / tourists and almost anyone travelling via AutoRickshaws with mobile phones in Mumbai.
Its the very easiest way to search AutoRickshaw Fare information on mobile application than carrying booklet / paper auto card.MumbaiAuto (the AutoFare mobile application) can be downloaded and installed from the website www.m4mum.com/mumbaiauto

Still http://www.getjar.com/mobile/40500/mumbai-auto-taxi-fare/ is better.Its available for android as well.Though not many people have downloaded it.But its a quality application.There are several advantages.Different interfaces are available for touch screen and normal screen(in the same app),no need to press “enter” after entering the meter reading, the fare shows as you enter the numbers in the text box,it looks great and also it shows fare for taxi as well.moreover,midnight charges can also be seen.If you include these advantages in your app,yours would be gr8 too.

Hi, These are the mobile softwares to get the Auto Rikshaw and Taxi Fares for Mumbai on your mobile handset (both day and mid-night). Depending on your handset download either jar or jad file or both. For nokia and many other phones it is sufficient to download jar file only. For other handsets download both the jar and jad file. This software shows the new tariff (since 24 June 2010) automatically as you type the meter number on your cell phone. These softwares are free of charge.
