    Amit Karmakar :
What about mtag 3.1?s plan? It is too costly. Please revise its plan? Give at least 2GB within Rs. 100 on 1x speed.

You can use normal sim into it which gives you 2gb for 97.99 i am using the same.

    Sudhakar :
All the CDMA operators’ plans will be useful only if :
    .
    > they provide UNLOCKED MODEM on sale price.
    .
    > they provide the modem on low cost rental basis rather than forcing the customers to buy it.

Price of modem does’t matter because modems are available at 800 or so which also having data benfits means you got the modem virtually free.

MTS should give Rev A at this tarif upto limit and add 1x unlimited on all plans after limit.
This has been given by Aircel 3G (Upto limit 3G afterwards gprs speed unlimited) A great hit among students

only the night unlimited plan is great!because mts in good coverage areas has much faster speeds than bsnl evdo/3g!U can suck mts for the same amount of data which you could suck from bsnl evdo for a whole day!

WHAT IS THE MONETARY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Rs. 998/- AND Rs. 999/-
BUT THE DATA DIFFERENCE IS THE TOO MUCH

    See the table again.
    Plan data Validity
    998 6 GB 90 days
    999 10 GB + 1X UL 30 days

So the difference is Validity vs. data.

MTS said they would focus on data alone.

    Is this how they focus?

These plans are not competitive enough. Better plans are available with 3G players. Aircel offer 1gb for Rs 199 + 2 ul.

At last the first night unlimited in wireless broadband. I hope other operators also follow. I think this could benefit heavy downloaders who use bsnl BB 500 plan.

Good. Idea 3G is providing same data plans at 21.6 Mbps speed. which is 6 times faster.
Bsnl broadband is better it gives Unlimited Internet without FUP.

If MTS wants to have any hope of surviving in the Indian data market with the kind of competition being given by 3G and 4G operators, they will have to start offering base tariffs of 1p/Mb for ‘pay as you go’ service with lifetime validity. so the consumer will only do as much topup as he requires and pay for only as much data as he uses without worrying for monthly rentals or running out of validity. This would bring down the effective cost to Rs.10 per GB of data at EVDO Rev.A speeds.

MTNL 3G is much cheaper than this and its atleast 4 times faster, when I was using MTS Mblaze it used to give speeds of 500 Kbps at all times of the day now I use MTNL 3G I get above 2 Mbps at all times of the day, and my effective cost comes upto Rs.750 per month for 33GB of high speed data.
