MTS Launches BlackBerry Services, Tariff Plan Details

MTS the CDMA Mobile and Data Services of Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd (SSTL) today announced the launch of BlackBerry Services with Voice and Data Combo Plans for its Prepaid and Postpaid subscribers in India.

Under the BlackBerry Services, MTS offers BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone for Rs.14990 with Free Unlimited Internet Plan, Free Talk Time and Free 100 SMS per day valid up to one month from the date of activation as an inaugural offer to customer who buy the device from the operator till 24th July 2011.




MTS introduces 3 tariff plans - BlackBerry Internet Services (BIS) for Rs.1174/month , BlackBerry Enterprise Services (BES) for Rs.1175/month and BlackBerry Enterprise Services Plus (BES Plus) for Rs.1176/month for prepaid subscribers. For postpaid subscribers all plan will comes with monthly rental of Rs.1175.

Initially MTS BlackBerry Services are available in 7 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Pune (Maharashtra), Jaipur, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata as earlier we shared on TelecomTalk on June 1.

All Postpaid and Prepaid plans comes with 10 emails (POP/IMAP) + Instant Messaging + Unlimited Internet Browsing at EVDO speed. The subscriber also get Free MTS to MTS 120 mins or 125 mins /day, Free Talk Value worth Rs.50/month and 100 SMS (Local & National) per day.

To Activate the Prepaid BlackBerry Service new subscriber needs to recharge with FRC-97 which offers Free 150 mins/day for first two months and 1p/sec tariff with Life time account validity. After the recharge with the FRC97, customer needs to opt any BlackBerry Plan starting from Rs.1174/month. While Postpaid subscriber can opt any tariff plan by calling 955 from the MTS mobile phone.
